House vacation rentals in California

This was the second time my family and I stayed here. We love the pool, the spacious patio, and secluded location. We had a little issue but Nikki and the property manager Karen did everything in their power to resolve and fix things and they did. Karen was very responsive and helpful. Always a great place to stay.

I would definitely like to stay in this beautiful home again!

We had such a perfect stay at Maja’s home! The view is incredible, and the various decorations around the place give it a very cozy vibe. There’s plenty of space and things to do that we never felt bored. On top of this, Maja is very kind and clearly communicated everything our group needed to know. Definitely hoping to return here someday!

This was our third trip to The Ranch House and it never disappoints. Rather, Stephanie has updated several areas that made our experience, this time with a baby, that much better. The updated shower was a big hit with my wife. The water stays hot and the removable shower head makes for a comfortable experience. The bedroom, more spacious now, retained that cozy feeling with a little more room to put up the Pack-'n-Play (very convenient that they have one) so our baby could sleep comfortably at the foot of the bed. The bedding is soft, comfortable and we slept well every night. Personally, I enjoyed the Nespresso and other coffee options and some additions in the kitchen that assisted with dinner prep. Finally, this was our first trip during the summer (early June) and the weather was fabulous. With it being a little warmer, there's plenty of trails that provide shade throughout. What an amazing stay for our family, we can't wait to return!

We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful home the weekend I was prosing to my girlfriend. The pictures do not do the place justice and the views from the backyard are amazing. Brian was an excellent host and was very attentive and helpful during our stay. We loved the peaceful vibe of Sea Ranch and can’t imagine coming back and not staying at this place. We look forward to returning again in the future!

We are repeat guests and love staying here every time. It’s deeply relaxing and so expertly curated for a wonderful stay. From the pool to the outdoor shower/tub to the thoughtful welcome gifts to the cleanliness protocols to the modern appliances, we never lack for anything when we’re here. It’s close enough to several towns that you can easily take day trips/go out to dinner but you may not want to. We stayed in several nights to just recharge. Such a peaceful, serene space. Pour over/French press coffee and tea provided. The pool was the perfect temperature and watching the various birds/dragonflies visit the fountains was so wonderful. Numerous great spaces for curling up with a good book. Clean, comfortable and great communication…definitely a 5 star stay every time!

Such a special place! It was a surprise getaway for my boyfriend’s birthday and we couldn’t wish for a better cabin just for two of us. Beautiful, minimalist, clean space with great views and peaceful atmosphere. The cabin has literally everything you could wish for. Hope to be back soon!

Staying at the River's Edge cottage was an absolute gem! Carol and Rod have done a wonderful job making it beautiful and relaxing experience. The attention to detail is unmatched. The outside terraces and river access makes the stay at the River's Edge the best! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and even caught TWO rainbow trout from the balcony! Thank you for such a fun weekend and we can't wait to come back here again!

What a beautiful home. The location is everything! We had the best anniversary getaway and hope to return. Listening to the ocean was so relaxing. The home was better than described and exceeded our expectations. The hot tub overlooking the ocean was amazing! Everything was clean and the home was welcoming. This place is on another level of beauty and privacy. Showed up. Gate was open. The ac was already on. Place was spotless. Ice maker full with ice (huge win!!) Sit on the deck and just take in the best view around. I gotta to hang for a few min at club red. The kayak around the lake was amazing. This is a top notch compound. Incredible the paradise they have built in the middle of nowhere!! Only negative was I had to leave. Thanks Joyce and tony for your hospitality. I will be back!!!

We had a very pleasant stay at this Airbnb. The house was immaculately clean, well-furnished, and incredibly spacious, with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The neighborhood was calm and quiet, which made it easy to relax and truly feel at home. The only thing to be aware of is that while the house is private and separate, the host’s home is located just in front, and there is a shared door between their yard and ours. They have a dog who barked a couple of times and once came into our yard unexpectedly, which startled us. The host may want to take a closer look at securing that access. Overall, it was a great experience, and we really appreciated the cleanliness, space, and peaceful surroundings.

The house is on a cliff overlooking the rocky California coast, with easy access from the road and only about 20 minutes of scenic highway south of Mendocino. The house is very comfortable with many windows with views of the ocean. There are also many extra touches including binoculars, strategically placed rugs, robes, an electric tea kettle (thanks), cushions for all the upright chairs, and very comfortable sofas - very thoughtful! Wonderful deck with incredible ocean views. House very clean, great WiFi, etc. Clear instructions and good communications from owner. Especially appreciated the excellent suggestions for state parks, beaches, and other places to visit, as well as groceries and restaurants. A welcome respite - very highly recommended!

This place is beautiful & peaceful with a very clean, modern design - just like the photos. Amenities were great and bed was comfortable. A perfect resting spot after days of exploring Sequoia National Park and Three Rivers!

This guest house is a great place to stay. Quiet, clean, great outdoor space, and much larger than represented by the photos. Nicely stocked refrigerator and thoughtful touches throughout.

Donna’s house in Mendocino was an unforgettable stay. It was perfect for our family event. It has one of the best ocean views on the planet (truly felt like we were at the edge of the earth.) We especially loved watching the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse from the deck, which made the experience even more magical. The house was well-equipped, comfortable, and peaceful. We’d absolutely recommend it and hope to return!

I loved Al’s river house. It was a comfy , friendly space. Great for hanging and visiting with friends. The slough is rich with color . The light is wonderful and ever changing. Really not far from delta restaurants and activities. Great bird watching and otters too! The delta is so cool!

This property is amazing in every way. There’s a view from the ocean from almost every room, beautiful tile work and gorgeous, well appointed bathrooms. A sauna and extra hot hot tub. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The house itself is beautiful with private spaces, but also a large living room where everyone can gather around a beautiful tiled potbelly fireplace. It’s a short walk to the beach through a charming neighborhood. The host Rebekah was very communicative and generous, allowed us flexible, check-in and check out. I will 100% be staying here again.

my friend and I stayed at Peter‘s place over Easter weekend, and we just loved everything about it. The home layout was fantastic with one wing having all of the social spaces, dining kitchen lounging rooms with huge windows that looked across both lagoons. Beautiful sunset and watching the sea birds. The other wing had a sleeping quarters in the bathrooms. Everything was pristine and there was plenty of space. One room is a bunk room, which was super fun and the beds were really comfortable. The house is well located and even more beautiful than the pictures Peter was super responsive and proactive we would stay again in a heartbeat. There are such beautiful, calm, peaceful energy, a great place to unwind.

My husband Josh and I had an unforgettable time at Cindi’s place in Sea Ranch. The home was even more beautiful than the photos—unique architecture, cozy design, and right on the beach. Every evening we watched the waves crash on the rocks just outside the window. It was peaceful, stunning, and truly magical. Cindi was a fantastic host, super helpful and kind. We’re already dreaming of coming back!

Adrian’s place nestled in the redwoods near bodega bay was well appointed and provided everything we needed for our vacation visit to the bay area after living away. Adrian and Scuba were responsive, proactive and even provided some great recommendations such as the old grove of trees nearby for accessible hiking for our young family. Overall the hosts and stay were great and we would absolutely stay here again or recommend to our friends and family.

This was our second visit to Lee Ann’s home. This time we were able to appreciate the lush summer vineyards, afternoon breezes, and even picked a few apricots. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful views and the peace and quiet of the countryside.

Was looking for a peaceful getaway to recharge and spend time with our furry friend. Tod’s place is a literal treehouse, but with modern amenities, and did not disappoint. Tod was very helpful in making sure we understood how some of the systems of the house worked upon our arrival. This place makes a great base of operations for the numerous outdoor activities surrounding the area. Will definitely be back!

Mary’s spot in Big Sur is absolutely amazing! There is something magical about Big Sur, and Mary manages to capture and harness that energy in her space- beautifully decorated, but also perfectly functional- from the well equipped kitchen to the hot tub, wood stove, and sleeping arrangements- no detail is overlooked. I look forward to returning whenever the opportunity presents itself.
