House vacation rentals in California

This was the second time my family and I stayed here. We love the pool, the spacious patio, and secluded location. We had a little issue but Nikki and the property manager Karen did everything in their power to resolve and fix things and they did. Karen was very responsive and helpful. Always a great place to stay.

It’s a perfect get away chill spot. It totally met the expectation which is a high bar as the photos look incredible.

Adrian’s place nestled in the redwoods near bodega bay was well appointed and provided everything we needed for our vacation visit to the bay area after living away. Adrian and Scuba were responsive, proactive and even provided some great recommendations such as the old grove of trees nearby for accessible hiking for our young family. Overall the hosts and stay were great and we would absolutely stay here again or recommend to our friends and family.

We had such a wonderful and relaxing time at Jason’s house. The views were amazing and the location is the best we’ve stayed in at Sea Ranch. The path to the bluff trail was right next to the house and just a short walk you get to amazing tide pools (my daughter and I woke up early to make it at low tide!) and really the best pacific coast views. Jason’s house was immaculate and we really appreciated how complete the kitchen was!! And the blue bottle and intelligentsia coffee beans were a great treat. The hot tub was also great to use after swimming in the rec center. Thank you Jason!!

This home was absolutely perfect for a getaway weekend in the desert. The house was beautiful, incredibly well-stocked, and even had more amenities than listed - literally anything you could think of and more to make you feel like you're right at home. We brought our dogs and we really appreciated that host had a basket full of dog necessities available in case we forgot anything. You can also get instacart delivered which was helpful for last minute purchases. The location was peaceful with stunning views, the stargazing at night was unreal from the pool deck. This home is truly a special place and we can't wait to be back! I would highly recommend booking this place for your desert getaway.

This was our third trip to The Ranch House and it never disappoints. Rather, Stephanie has updated several areas that made our experience, this time with a baby, that much better. The updated shower was a big hit with my wife. The water stays hot and the removable shower head makes for a comfortable experience. The bedroom, more spacious now, retained that cozy feeling with a little more room to put up the Pack-'n-Play (very convenient that they have one) so our baby could sleep comfortably at the foot of the bed. The bedding is soft, comfortable and we slept well every night. Personally, I enjoyed the Nespresso and other coffee options and some additions in the kitchen that assisted with dinner prep. Finally, this was our first trip during the summer (early June) and the weather was fabulous. With it being a little warmer, there's plenty of trails that provide shade throughout. What an amazing stay for our family, we can't wait to return!

My wife, son and lil puppy all enjoyed this home. For those who are planning future visit, pack plenty of insect repellants. There were a lot of activities to do in the backyard, but there were plenty of any hills also. If you are planning to see stars at night, find dates when the moon is not fully bright. Overall a great vacation.

Airy, comfortable and immaculate place. Watched surfers, seals, whales and birds everyday.

Hi, we were on the trip from the Grand Canyon to San Diego and spent two nights in this wonderful accommodation. It was very hot, but the place provided us with every comfort we could have wished for. Super great kitchen, pleasant pool, relaxing bed and and and. We had a great time and would book the place again at any time. Best regards :-)

We loved our private weekend getaway here with everything you need to relax. From the pool, to the jacuzzi, to the shade structures to the chairs under the Joshua Tree for stargazing, each outdoor area was well thought out. Our favorite was the outdoor shower! The home was clean and not far from any of the activities we wanted to do. The host was very friendly and responsive.

The house is on a cliff overlooking the rocky California coast, with easy access from the road and only about 20 minutes of scenic highway south of Mendocino. The house is very comfortable with many windows with views of the ocean. There are also many extra touches including binoculars, strategically placed rugs, robes, an electric tea kettle (thanks), cushions for all the upright chairs, and very comfortable sofas - very thoughtful! Wonderful deck with incredible ocean views. House very clean, great WiFi, etc. Clear instructions and good communications from owner. Especially appreciated the excellent suggestions for state parks, beaches, and other places to visit, as well as groceries and restaurants. A welcome respite - very highly recommended!

This house and hosts were absolutely amazing. The cleanliness of the home and the attention to detail went far beyond our expectations. Will definitely be rebooking!

Donna’s house in Mendocino was an unforgettable stay. It was perfect for our family event. It has one of the best ocean views on the planet (truly felt like we were at the edge of the earth.) We especially loved watching the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse from the deck, which made the experience even more magical. The house was well-equipped, comfortable, and peaceful. We’d absolutely recommend it and hope to return!

A slice of paradise. The casita is a secluded getaway right in our own Southern California backyard. Paula and Dan have crafted an accommodation with nothing spared. The place was clean throughout, not a spec of dust to be found. Light refreshments were offered and greatly appreciated. We enjoyed the massive comfy bed with fresh linens just steps away from the backyard. The main attraction, the hot tub, was clean, maintained and functioned flawlessly. Outdoor speakers are setup to enjoy music while you get your tub relaxation on as well as a nearby mini table for refreshments/snacks. Like I said, no detail spared. The whole place is just done right, it shows that Paula cares about the space. And when a host cares, that makes the experience that much better. Thank you for the excellent stay!

This is my second time staying at the Hi Desert House and it’s a total dream. Everything you need for a true getaway, nothing you don’t, thoughtful design touches everywhere you look. Jenna and Michael have created something beautiful here.

My significant other and I had such a great stay! Fawzia was an incredibly warm and welcoming host — super easy to communicate with. Her husband was also very kind, and their sweet dog made me feel right at home. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. I also loved seeing all of their beautiful birds on the property — such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend booking with Fawzia!

This was our second visit to Lee Ann’s home. This time we were able to appreciate the lush summer vineyards, afternoon breezes, and even picked a few apricots. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful views and the peace and quiet of the countryside.

When we arrived we were delighted with the location and the unmatched view!!!! Everything was clean & inviting. Roomy but cozy. Great kitchen to prepare meals & of course, cocktails! Beds were comfy after a soak in the relaxing hot tub. We will be back!! This place is a gem!!! Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home to us…we treated it with the utmost respect and appreciation.

The home was beautiful, we truly enjoyed our time there. They say that pictures are worth a thousand words but pictures of the views from the multiple balconies are unable to capture how stunning they really are. The home was just as listed, clean and was the most stocked home we have visited. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas and made unforgettable memories.

The walk to the river is short but not very close. Although it is very private and pristine. Place is clean and host is very responsive and shared all instructions well in advance.

We chose this place based on the photos of the view of Mount Shasta. The photos of the accommodations are accurate. The view was spectacular - just what we were looking for a Mount Shasta stay. This is a tiny home but we were very comfortable. We love to cook so normally the first thing we look at is the kitchen but this time it was the view that was king. We did have some great meals though - just plan ahead. We went to many local natural locations with great waterfalls (Burney Falls) and Lake Shasta Caverns. Just up the road from here we were able to get to 7,000’ on the mountain. Truly fed our souls. Long story short we are John Muir fans and we wanted to be here knowing his story of spending a night in a snow storm on the summit. Beautiful area, beautiful view and cozy place.
