Dovecot Dubs is a recently renovated, luxury cottage in the heart of historic Lanark. It is within easy walking distance of shops ,restaurants, pubs and train station . Completed in September 2020 this detached cottage features a large living room,beautiful dining kitchen , two double bedrooms with ample storage, wc room upstairs and luxury bathroom with bath and separate large walk in shower. The cottage is fully equipped for 4 people . There is your own designated parking space but also plenty of further parking in the surrounding area. A small bistro table and chairs provides outdoor seating for morning coffee , evening drinks . Dovecot Dubs is in the perfect location in the ancient Royal Burgh(1140) of Lanark with it’s connections to William Wallace. The cottage is just 1 mile from the Unesco World Heritage village of New Lanark and the picturesque Falls of Clyde. There are numerous beautiful walks and gardens to visit including the Clyde Walkway at Castlebank Park. Glasgow and Edinburgh are 1 hours drive away as well as the Scottish Borders . Lovely presented home right by the Lanark High Street. Very easy to find with the clear instructions set out by Laura. The one issue I encountered throughout my stay was with the shower unit, but Laura was able to expedite the fix for this as soon as it was mentioned. Very responsive host and would definitely return when I head back up to Lanark.

Had a lovely stay in the quiet and scenic environment, the pubs recommended in the welcome book were a nice touch as we didn’t know where to try once we arrived, we tried the kinleith inn and we were pleasantly surprised. It was a lovely quiet retreat to escape the liveliness of the main city which is what we were looking for. The cabin was beautiful, the bed was so comfy, the bathroom was clean but watch the door as people over 5’2 will need to take notice of the ‘mind your head’ signs to avoid a headache. The tea and coffee, biscuits and orange juice hamper was a nice surprise. We would definitely come back and stay again. 5*stay would definitely recommend.
