Private suite vacation rentals in Berkshire

This really is an idyllic spot. While attached to the owners house, it feels private. The barn itself is very tastefully done and was a larger space than I’d anticipated. The garden area with seating is pretty and our dog enjoyed herself exploring away. It’s off the beaten track in a very picturesque spot ideal for great walking. The owners (who we briefly met & who were helpful & polite) have been upfront about the state of the road leading to the property. In reality, it’s only the hill part of this which is ‘testy’ if you don’t have an SUV/4WD (& we don’t). We decided from day 2 to park the car in Houghton - if you come out of the property, turn right, it’s a 2 minute walk to Houghton. Very close to the start of this public path in Houghton on the main road is public off road parking for a couple of cars. This worked for us but obviously it’s public parking and you can’t guarantee a space & it’s at the owners risk. All in, we had a lovely couple of days - thank you!

Perfect stay in the most convenient location. Just off the high street of darling Amersham, but very quiet with good parking, this place was perfect for me. The annexe is set in a lovely garden with even a seperate living room the place has a good amount of space but is cosy. The host provided all the amenities and extras so had more than what I needed for cooking. The host was very welcoming, friendly and gave all the info needed for an easy stay. Would definitely stay again.

We recently stayed at April’s place while attending my sister’s funeral service, and it turned out to be the perfect home away from home during a difficult time. The house was clean, peaceful, and very thoughtfully prepared. Although we didn’t choose the place for its Harry Potter theme, it added a surprisingly comforting and magical atmosphere to our stay. April was a wonderful host—she provided thoughtful breakfast essentials like milk, cereal, tea, sugar, and fresh fruit, which we really appreciated. When I had a question about an adapter for charging electronic devices, she responded right away and quickly resolved the issue. Overall, our experience was seamless and comforting. We had no complaints and would absolutely recommend April’s place to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-kept, and welcoming stay—with a fun Harry Potter twist!

We had a fantastic night's stay after a very long day of walking. Everything lived up to and exceeded our expectations including the beautiful setting! The beds were super comfy (which was much appreciated after our walk), shower excellent and all the facilities were perfect. We had a delicious meal at the Boot Inn (highly recommend) and enjoyed Rosie's lovely breakfast on the terrace. The packed lunch kept us going on our walk to Winchester the next day. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful village and hope to return.

The annexe was everything we hoped for and more. Charming accommodation in beautiful gardens; two large bedrooms with lovely bed linen and towels; everything thought of to make our stay restorative and comfortable. Penny was an accommodating, friendly and kind host.

Perfect location for exploring Wantage. Easy check in and nice space. Had it been a little warmer outside we have had our tea in the garden in the morning! Thank you Helen :)

A great base for 3 adults and a child of four. Comfortable and clean, lots of books, games and equipment for children inside and plenty to use outside if the weather improves. We were visiting for an Interview and I,m glad to say we will be moving to the area soon.

We echo all the reviews that have given Nel’s place 5 stars! We were on a tight schedule of visits around the country, but both agreed we’d would’ve happily stayed longer and just enjoyed the cosy accommodation and peaceful surroundings. We’re thinking of downsizing our family home and the design/layout of this delightful apartment gave us ideas for maximising a smaller space. Everything was spotless, the living room sofa and armchair were perfect for us, bed was super comfy, kitchen has everything needed and the whole place was light and airy. Had a wonderful stay at this annex Airbnb. The hosts were very helpful and responsive, and there were lots of small things that made our stay easier. The area is very quiet but close to bus stops and a good coffee shop. We felt very safe. We were able to take the bus into the center of Kingston and to Richmond easily. The place is well appointed as well. Definitely recommended!

Had a great stay at Tori’s place! The space was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The area was quiet and absolutely beautiful and perfect for a relaxing break. The host was really friendly and easy to communicate with. Would definitely come back!

A fantastic Airbnb with its own entrance and a spacious bedroom. Everything was spotlessly clean and Dale was a wonderful host. The breakfast provided was a great start to the day. It was just a short walk into town and it was a great base to explore the Cotswold villages. Thanks Dale and Mac.

This was our first air B and B booking and we were very impressed. Firstly Andrew kept us informed pre arrival and was there to greet us. We felt very much at home and able to reach him if needed which we didn’t. We were particularly impressed with how clean the lodge was and at the attention to detail matching crockery, everything we could need in the kitchen and coordinated cushions, bedding etc. The bathroom was in an immaculate condition and again matching towels and the added beauty products. We would definitely re visit and pass on to friends and family. Thank you to both of you for a very pleasant stay.

We absolutely loved our stay. The place was beautiful and exactly as the photos looked. We were spoilt for local walks nearby. The place was spacious, full of natural light and beautiful views and all the amenities. Emily and Mike were perfect hosts - they were very quick at responding and super friendly when we met them in person. They sent very detailed instructions to find the property which were really helpful. We liked the cute touches too like hand written messages, bottle of wine and shortbread on arrival. We look forward to going back

I enjoyed my stay at Rangi's annex. The accommodation was perfect for me - private - but I liked the idea of being attached to the main house, in case I needed anything . The kitchen was very well appointed. Thank you, Rangi, for your kindness and making me feel so welcome.

The perfect place! We were going to a wedding nearby and Mark gave us a lift there on Saturday morning, and helped us book a taxi for the way back. Jemma showed us round The Snug, complete with G&Ts, milk and snacks. She also booked us a table at the pub because, it being folk weekend, it was busy. Both Jemma and Mark couldn't have been more helpful. The bed was super comfy; we slept really well. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was definitely one of the better airbnbs that we have stayed in. Very comfortable annexe completely separate to main bungalow with its own garden. Totally quiet location and only a short walk to the beautiful coastline. Recommended.

We had a lovely stay at Ian's. The village was lovely and peaceful, and the Airbnb was clean, cosy and exactly as described. Ian was easy to contact and there was good communication. Extra touches, such as a hairdryer and cold water in the fridge made it special and were so handy! Ian was helpful and gave us taxi recommendations, which was much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again!!

We had a lovely stay at Gillian's place. Gillian was very welcoming and the location was perfect for the wedding we were attending at the Royal Berkshire hotel. Highly recommend, very convenient close to London.

Fantastic property, just what we needed for the month. Clean and tidy, property very warm which was a godsend when you have ben outside all day. I would definitely come back again.

Elaine and Alex were so friendly and welcoming. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The accomodation was of a high standard with a very comfortable bed. Quiet and peaceful location but still within walking distance of interesting shops ,transport links and beautiful countryside. We would definitely recommend this property
