Boat vacation rentals in Berkshire

Our family of 3 loved staying in the houseboat. It was a great hideaway in the middle of the city. The boat was even larger than we expected and very comfortable.

After a pint of local beer on one of the earliest pubs in London, walk yourself to a the pier and board a XIX century clipper full of history and old boats and let yourself go in a night sleep, dreaming of the adventures you might get on a ship like this in a a past maybe not too long ago...the ultimate Thames experience!

Angel and Thomas are wonderful hosts. They made us a delicious breakfast, helped us out with tips about food and how to spend our time in the area. And of course the boat is amazing and very cozy!

We had a lovely weekend on Calypso to celebrate a birthday and attend the Boat Show. Poole harbour is beautiful and there is all you need ( Tesco, restaurants etc) within a few mins walk of the boat. The boat is large and we were very warm and comfortable. Certainly a different experience for us.

The Velvet Morning was a slice of heaven. Sam was an incredible host. Had a great last night of my trip to London here! First, Sam was very flexible with me and allowed me to drop my luggage off early (which was very helpful). I loved meeting her & truly believe she’s one of the most lovely people I’ve ever met. The boat was amazing - so much character, so charming, and super cozy. During the day, I read a book & journaled on the roof, fed the ducks quartered grapes (which they really enjoyed), ate caviar & oysters at the Summerhouse while watching newborn ducklings in their nest peeking out from under the restaurant (showing the post card of the boat got me a discount), and exploring various walking paths nearby. At night, it was sprinkling & the sound of the rain on the roof was so peaceful - I fell asleep like a baby. Would highly recommend this unique stay & definitely plan on coming back next time I visit! Thank you, Sam!

Wow, what an incredible experience! Staying on Steve's 40ft yacht exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped aboard, I was blown away by the luxury and attention to detail. The cabin was surprisingly spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities you could need. Waking up to gentle waves and breathtaking ocean views each morning was truly magical. Steve was an excellent host, ensuring we had everything we needed and even taking us on a sunset cruise one evening. The yacht's deck was perfect for sunbathing and enjoying cocktails under the stars. Overall, this stay was better than I could have imagined. If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable getaway, I highly recommend booking Steve's yacht. It's an experience you won't soon forget!

Unique stay right in the heart of Portsmouth. It’s a boat, I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in ages being gently bobbed about. It had everything you needed for an overnight stay. Timothy was very though with his communications which made it easy to check in even when we arrived late in the evening. The marina is secured and manned, and helpfully they have trolleys, so I’d suggest going and checking out the marina first, grabbing a trolley and taking it back to the gunwharf quays carpark, much easier than lugging cases/holdalls about. Speaking of the carpark you can park right next to quays, and if you take your ticket to the parking attendant you can get a discounted rate of £4.70 for 24 hours. Perfect for a unique experience stay. Not gonna lie, kinda want a boat now.

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for something really different and unique. We stayed 1 night to celebrate my partner's birthday, the location is beautiful and there is a lovely scenic amble into the town where there are many places to eat and drink. A truly chilled vibe!

We had a lovely stay aboard Sea Wolf and would definitely recommend. A friendly host who made sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend! Great location, lots of lovely walks and nice shops and pubs nearby. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Great overnight stay on Mischief, which was a treat for my husband’s birthday whilst attending the boat show. Kathy was available upon check in to show us around the boat. A quirky little stay, ideal for anyone who was looking for something alternative to the usual Airbnb & hotels. We had a great stay, thank you Kathy

Nancy, I had the best birthday on your beautiful boat. It was cosy and homely. What a wonderful location too; with Broadway Market on the doorstep with amazing food from all over the world. Couldn't of asked for me. After a little hiccup finding the boat, you were so responsive and helpful. Thank you for making my birthday so special. Hope to stay again soon x

We loved it! It’s clearly an older yacht and don’t get me wrong it’s not perfect so don’t expect everything to be amazing condition because it’s not, however this actually added to its charm to us! The hot tub is lovely, the beds are comfy and it’s an amazing experience, especially if you won’t usually sail or stay on yachts. John was great showed us around and we had a good laugh with him! It’s got everything you need! One thing I would say that isn’t mentioned it does require getting up very steep steps into the boat and to get to the top deck with hot tub requires steep ladder, if your less able bodied or travelling with someone less able bodied I do think it would be a struggle however that’s not a complaint in anyway just an observation. But we loved it and would actually definitely stay again and can’t say that about everywhere I stay. So definitely recommend

Excellent place to stay and Colin the host, was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable about the boat and the surrounding areas. This was a beautiful and peaceful experience and so memorable, as such an unusual place to stay.

I met Gareth earlier to pick up the keys. I returned later that evening and had a fantastic evening, cooked myself some dinner and watched one of the DVD’s. This really is one of my favourite stays. If you’re looking for a boring hotel room then don’t stay here. If you’re looking for a fantastic cozy getaway then I would recommend this little Gem. Fantastic host and communication. Boat life is certainly for me.

We had a lovely stay on the barge—everything was peaceful and beautifully maintained. The host was friendly and quick to respond to any questions, which made our experience even more enjoyable. We’d happily stay again!

I truly enjoyed staying aboard Dana- it was a real pleasure and I was very sad to leave. Even at 6 ft 4 in (1.9M) tall, I fit in the shower no problem, which is quite an accomplishment in general, not to mention on a boat. The galley was better appointed than most Airbnb kitchens on land, and though the docks are very quiet, there are plenty of good restaurants, pubs, and attractions in the neighborhood. Tower Hill is a very convenient tube stop. I found it to be a very charming vessel that really felt like home - I came alone on business, but really hope that I will be able to bring my family back. You definitely feel that many good memories have been made here and that it is well-loved and well cared for.

We spent the weekend on Harry's houseboat and collected wonderful memories. The place is very charming and has everything one needs for a good stay. We loved the experience itself and ultimately found it comfortable, plus, we enjoyed the surroundings, where there's a lot to explore. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking something off the beaten path! Harry is a great host and the communication was very friendly and easy.

Saul and Sarah's barge 'Flicka' is a fantastic place to stay in London, with the ferry to Central London right on the doorstep and the best way to travel and see the sights at the same time. Saul and Sarah are awesome hosts and wonderful chefs - the private dining experience they cooked and served for us on New Years Eve was truly amazing. A totally fabulous and unique experience!
