Vacation rentals with lake access in Belize

Great place for the price. Nice secluded location. Only problem was it was difficult to find, but Denise was responsive and came and helped us.

What a gem of a place. Everything is walkable Hopkins has my heart! Anything you need they live right on property and will help you out. Solo traveling no need to be concerned fun and very safe. Take a walk out back in the morning and have coffee. The bedroom has a beautiful view of the water ❤️

It was lovely and helpful that the host arranged for direct water taxi with our luggage to the house. The quiet refuge on the north island was a great contrast to the hustle of the south part of the Caye. While there getting around on foot and by water taxi worked well, unless you want to see the estuary on the very north side of the Caye, in which case a bike is a good idea. There were several walkable restaurant options and a small convenience store near the split. We didn’t use the kayak and paddle boards, but the pool was great for heat relief and AC in the bedrooms was nice too. Walter, the caretaker, was super helpful and brought us fresh coconuts / coconut water. Really enjoyed Mario’s snorkel tour.

We absolutely love the location of this place!! Just enough outside of town to be quiet and peaceful but you could get to town by cart in about 20 minutes! The pool is beautiful and the water is warm! Definitely would stay here again!

Monique was a lovely hostess. Her home was clean and cosy. Great value for the money. There is no A/C though and quite a few stairs to climb upon entry and exit.

The development (Better In Belize) is in a somewhat isolated location, with some areas within (including this place) only accessible by 4wd vehicle, which we liked & added to the appeal. Our kind host lives next door so we felt safe. She was super-attentive, provided a great explanation of how everything works & how to conserve water/power as the place is off-grid. The view is breathtaking & at times it felt surreal to be immersed in the beauty. We appreciated the price as it was just my wife & I there & we are not rich so it was great to be able to have this experience vs being too pricey to consider. Our only regret is that we should have booked for longer, but now we know. We HIGHLY recommend the pontoon boat tour as well. We enjoyed 3 (yes 3!) waterfalls on the tour, the fresh BBQ lunch our guide prepared on board was delicious, and they even picked us up at the driveway. I honestly didn't want to share all this great stuff for fear it will be booked when we look to return:)

The White Orchid Villa is a lovely house in a beautiful setting on the banks of the Sittee River. It's surrounded by large trees that were filled abundant bird life that was a treat to listen to while sitting in the hammock in the screened in porch. Due to its location on the river there are lots of mosquitoes so bug spray is a must, which also made the screened in porch that much nicer. There is a canoe available to go explore the river and the lovely Town of Hopkins is a short drive away. The kitchen is fully stocked with lots of spices and everything you would need to prepare meals. The on-site caretakers Christina and Domingo were friendly and welcoming. Rupa, the owner was very helpful with suggestions and local contacts for tour guides. She also quickly responded to any questions we had. To top it off, there were friendly dogs with two adorable puppies that totally charmed my daughters. We would definitely come back!

We had a great time in Placencia. The place was perfect for our needs - spacious, comfy, clean linens, and had all the amenities we needed. It was nice to walk to the resort and have access to the pool and restaurant. Vincent was responsive and checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure we had what we needed and to make recommendations. The house is a short drive to restaurants and grocery stores. Overall a great stay in Belize!

I had a nice, comfy stay at Shaun’s place. It’s in a good location—close to grocery stores and restaurants.

We had such a great time here for our first few days in Belize! The house is very well thought out and split up so it could be used by multiple people/ couples or extended family. We enjoyed the pool and quickly learned that it is mostly shaded in the afternoon so better to use it earlier in the day when the sun is on it. Great peaceful location! Kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed. We really liked the giant shower upstairs! Thank you for sharing your place!

I would highly recommend Ceasar's place! it a hidden gem for anyone visiting San Ignacio, it just like 5 mins away from the twin towns. it's a place where u can unwind and just relax; it's a quiet property with a big river bed space to just enjoy the sound of Mother nature and take a space in some cool fresh water. Caesar have create two different steps to access the river which made swimming a lot easier! it's a picturesque area. Ceasar was very attentive with our check in and he walk around with us and show us around the property and sharing information.

Had a great stay with family. Plenty of clean linens and extra pillows were nice to have. Lots of storage for clothes. Great AC unit.

Lovely condo with a lot of space and a nice porch, and off the road so you do not hear any road noise.

The ideal spot to enjoy the Placencia Peninsula. Near by great restaurants and easily accessible to Placencia Village. There’s a very relaxed peaceful vibe and Swan Villa for the bill perfectly. To top It off Mariam is a great host and always eager to lend a hand. I will definitely be back.

We enjoyed staying at Ali’s place. It had all of the basic amenities we were looking for. We had a few concerns when we first arrived but Ali was very responsive and took care of any issues quickly. Ali was also very helpful with first transportation from the ferry terminal and back to it when we headed home. Ali also had golf cart rentals for us that made the process very easy. The location is just off downtown so the living area could be a bit noisy but the air conditioned bedrooms were surprisingly quiet. We enjoyed the pool and our stay immensely and appreciated Ali’s responsiveness.

Great apartment overlooking the lagoon....we even saw a croc swimming by! Nice public pool to use.
