Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Belize

We can’t say enough good things about our week at the pool cottage at sue-casa. From easy booking, great communication from Susan, arranging our taxi from the airport to the water ferry, and hooking us up with the best taxi driver on Caye Caulker (Kevin) we felt cared for and like family. We are already planning our next trip!

Home is nice and clean. Very conveniently located to the center of Orange Walk. Would recommend and stay again.

Great spot! Host was really friendly and responded quickly. The casita is super cute and has everything you need including a full kitchen and laundry. A bumpy drive to get there so plan accordingly. But we were looking for the local vibe with quiet beaches and amazing restaurants around and this place delivered! Never felt unsafe and everyone in the area is really friendly. A couple tips for the area - In D Wild is an amazing local spot a couple mins away for lunch or dinners and the owner is really friendly. X Tan Ha is a resort close by with a tour agency (snorkel trip was a blast!). If you have food and drinks there you can use the kayaks, there’s a massage place on the beach and an overwater bar so you get the resort feel while staying close by.

Very private at the end of the island, dock and pool were very nice features and appreciated the snorkeling gear and kayaks!

The house was beautiful and the service from Marilyn our concierge was wonderful. She responded to our texts in 1-2 minutes! She was there to collect us at the airport, and she arranged our entire vacation. She was wonderful. I didn’t realize we needed to take a boat to San Pedro. It was a 2 minute ride with Senal our captain, and 2 round trips were included daily at no charge. Senal was great! He was on site every morning cleaning the pool, and he was there to ferry us back and forth whenever we requested. Our dryer blew a belt while we were there and Senal had it fixed by the next day. He took our wet laundry to another home and put it in the dryer for us…amazing! We had several meals prepared at our villa which we arranged thru Cellina which were great. The restaurant, Coconuts, is on site and we had several wonderful meals there. Our meals were prepared and served by August and another lady, and they were so friendly, and the food and service were top notch!I highly recommend !

The photos do not do it justice! It is surrounded by the jungle, and you will need a car, but you should have one in this area anyway. The place is immaculate, Sonia was fantastic, every need was met. The pool is perfect for a dip after a hot day of adventures. We hope to return here again and again.

We had an amazing stay at this apartment! It was absolutely perfect—cozy and full of that true Caribbean vibe. The location couldn’t have been better: just a short walk from everything, yet tucked away enough to enjoy some peace and quiet away from the busy areas. Abner was a fantastic host, always available and incredibly helpful with anything we needed. One of the highlights of our stay was watching the sunrise from the terrace—it’s the perfect spot for your morning coffee. Don’t miss it! We highly recommend this place and would love to return. Very nice place to stay and enjoy with the family! Sharilyn is very attentive as well as Jamal who guided us on how to get to the place. Everything is very clean, with everything you need to have a great stay. We loved it! 🌟

We had a group of 14 that stayed the week, it was amazing! Place is clean, communication is superb and location ideal! I can’t say enough about this place!!

This place was as described. Very cozy and clean. Property was well kept. While there were other families and couples staying there most days we had the pool and cabana area to ourselves. it was off a dirt road but not far from the Belize Water Express or the Tropic Air (if you fly in). lots of nice places to eat nearby and downtown was a short drive. One hour from Secrets Beach. 10/10 would recommend and stay again.

Margo was an excellent host - immediately responsive and provided lots of useful information before we arrived as well as while we stayed with her. Her house is gorgeously decorated with everything you could need or want while there, and very clean. Kyron who works on site was wonderful as well - very friendly, and took us on a fun boat ride where he taught us a lot about the history of Sarteneja. And we loved Margo's dogs!! The pool and patio are superb and we spent many happy hours there!!! We learned after a few days that it was best for us to wear long pants, socks and shoes while watching sunset because we were particularly tasty to the no-see-ums on the beach. It had rained a few days before we arrived as well as while we were there, so I'm sure that was a contributing factor. The town was full of friendly people and a great place for some rest and relaxation. If you want to get off the beaten path while in Belize, there's no place better than to do it at Margo's!

This location requires a ferry to reach, but the location is peaceful and easy to navigate. Beautiful property that you will no doubt be able to just hangout and spend some relaxing time.

Loved our stay here. The house was comfortable and the bike provided were super useful. We loved the area too, even though it was outside of the main area, we ate at the cheap local restaurants and explored the south side. We also explored the North island which we would recommend to anyone planning a visit. Dianny was super kind and gave us a lot of advice. Overall a very pleasant stay and would love to visit again.

Absolutely perfect. Cute colorful Cabaña right on a gorgeous beach. And inside: everything we needed (a lot of airbnbs are missing hooks, shelves, little things like paper towel, coffee or condiments- they had everything and more! For example luggage scale or mini rechargeable reading light. Walking distance to everything in town (tiny village Hopkins) Strongly recommend!

Our first trip to Santa Elena was great and Jaime was an incredible host. The house is in a wonderful neighborhood, safe with a great restaurant nearby. Our dogs loved the yard, and we spent a lot of time relaxing on the porch. Jamie gave us many recommendations for local spots to eat and drink and activities to do in the area. He gave us a tour of the twin towns. Jamie was very responsive and communication was easy. The house was comfortable and clean with all the essential amenities. We are looking forward to going back soon. Highly recommend.

Growing up in this community and coming back to a new idea of this community; my stay was definately and incredible stay. Ash communication was very great, welcoming, friendly and the stay was filled with nature and experience that rarely you will find in Belize. Im so happy to have stayed here and looking forward to future bookings. i wouldnt have asked for more as Air Conditioning was surely not needed and i enjoyed my night on the porch just listening and looking at the night.

The spot was extremely cute and clean inside and outside. It's about a 20-25 minute walk from the main part of Hopkins Village. With a bike, which was provided (there were several), you can get there pretty easily during the day time. Other nice amenities included a 5 gallon jug of bottled water, an on-site washing machine, and some clothes lines. Wendy also proactively reached out before and during my stay to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. All and all, it was great stay and would book again.

I hate to share just how much I love this place because I don't want to compete for booking it when I want to go back!! What a peaceful yet connected place - right by an amazing swimming area called Mangrove Park. In town and able to access grocers, cafes, butcher etc. And you WILL want to cook and enjoy the screened in verandah and yard! MAGIC! I already miss Losita and Blossom (the doggy).

Had a fantastic 5-night stay at the Toucan Guest House. Comfortable, well-appointed house in an ideal location. It is close to both Cockscomb and Bocawina—two of our favorite jungle reserves—so we had no problem getting to both during prime early morning birding hours. It was even close to Hopkins for restaurants, groceries, and the beach. Hosts were fantastic. We highly recommend.

No complaints. The place was very clean with a brand new feel. Everything inside was as is on the photos. AC in every room is perfect for the Belize heat. I had a great stay and would definetly stay here if I return.
