Wonderful, peaceful country location with fantastic views, but within easy reach of Oxford. Welcoming hosts and very spacious accommodation with thoughtful breakfast supplies. Comfortable beds! Thank you Ed and Tracey

We had a lovely stay at the Old Hay Barn. We were welcomed by Jamie and Chrissie who were extremely friendly and accommodating - and surprised us with a selection of breakfast goodies for our stay. Any questions we had were answered straight away which we really appreciated. The surrounding area was fantastic to explore, especially helped by the maps left by the hosts. The barn itself had so much character and a real charm about it (we couldn’t stop admiring it the whole time we were there). Very comfy and cosy, even if we hadn’t have gone out to explore we would have been happy just staying in. It was lovely to be able to bring our dog too who loved the long walks! Thank you so much for our stay, we hope to come back in the future.

Lovely faultless experience. Spotlessly clean, comfortable furniture. Big TV, well equipped kitchen. Loaf of bread, milk, butter and jams provided and even a box of After Eights. Sadly I had brought everything as I didn’t expect these to be provided but a lovely touch. Off street parking in a quiet sleepy village. Can highly recommend.

All good; apart from us forgetting about the ‘hidden ‘ drawer’ which houses the cutlery! Might be worth putting an indicator to this for idiots like me who had completely forgotten about it despite having been there before.

Matt and Vince have a beautiful home and garden! The back apartment was perfect for us visiting our son at Oxford. It was an easy Uber over there. Please note you’ll walk through their house to enter the back garden. They are lovely people and Matt’s parents were even visiting so we felt like a part of the family. It was spacious and cute and had great AC which we needed on an unusually hot weekend in England. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet stay with plenty of room to relax.

I can’t say enough good things about Steven! He was a lifesaver when I needed to drop off my luggage early. He met me at the gate with a big smile and friendly chat, making me feel right at home. I loved how he took the time to share clear directions and suggestions on what to check out during my trip. I had an absolute blast wandering around the lively neighbourhood with its cute shops and cosy cafes. I’m already looking forward to coming back for another visit! Thanks again!

Light and spacious facing a quiet garden in a beautiful neighbourhood near Hampstead Heath. Local buses and walk to lovely Highgate village cafes and parks. Comfortable for working as well as relaxing in the garden. Very clean and modern.

Wonderful stay. Excellent instructions to find the cottage beautiful inside and out. We didn’t want to leave.

We had such a wonderful and memorable stay at Claire's place on our first holiday with our newborn! The accommodation itself was perfect, with the most beautiful views across the lake, grounds and woodland. We saw so much wildlife just from the living room couch! So many muntjak deer, birds, rabbits etc. Such an idyllic and peaceful setting for a relaxing staycation. The woodlands and are so lovely for walks, it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere even though the nearest town is just a few mins drive away. Claire was such a responsive host. She provided very clear instructions and followed up to make sure we had everything we needed for check in. We felt very well looked after and we were so glad to meet her at the end of our stay. We will definitely be returning to The Old Plantation time and time again In the years to come I am sure :) thanks so much Claire for a fantastic stay!

A perfect place for us coming to see family. Brilliant location in a beautiful area, great for walks, Harry Potter studios, tube into London, close to multiple town centres and lovely pubs very near by.

Only stayed one night, but it was a lovely lovely evening, in a beautiful and peaceful surrounding. Thank you to my hosts for maintaining such a beautiful property and I hope to be back again in the not too distant future

I had a lovely stay at Mings place. The touches of detail made it feel comfortable, cosy and welcoming. The outdoor space was private and perfect. I felt at home the moment I walked in. Ming was responsive and everything was as described. Thank you 😊

Cara was the most helpful and wonderful host we could have ever imagined. We had a same day urgent request after we received a last minute cancellation from our original booking. She was right on it to host us and was easy as well fast to communicate with. Will definitely make another visit!

We stayed at the cottage while visiting our new grandson in nearby Woodford Halse. Communications from Victoria were excellent, as were directions. Upon our arrival Victoria came out to greet us and (vitally important) to ask us what we wanted for breakfast! The cottage turned out to be an absolute delight, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. Our last Airbnb experience in May 2024 was dreadful and it was a relief to have our faith restored. Although the cottage was small, it was perfect for our needs. The bedroom upstairs was cosy and the bed was very comfortable. The downstairs bathroom was nicely appointed and there was plenty of hot water for showers. Although the cottage doesn't have a kitchen as such, Victoria provided a microwave and toaster, plus bread, cereals, tea, milk, coffee etc. Nothing had been overlooked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend both the cottage and our host Victoria unreservedly! Thank you very much Victoria! Andrew & Jayne.

I chose this place as an escape from my city-life engagements, so I loved the quiet; and the convenience of the location. It was my first time in St Albans, so there were lots to explore, most of them at walkable distance! Christina and her husband are lovely, helpful people; I enjoyed our conversations too. Her thoughtfully picked food/ snacks were perfect! (I mean, Horlicks and Prunes, who would have thought! 😍). I would totally stay with them again, if I get to come around again! Perfect overnight stop- Chloe was a very welcoming and responsive host - even though a last minute booking, late at night the apartment was all prepared and ready for us. Arrived in the dark but clear instructions made it very easy. Loved the private, secure parking and the quiet residential location. Can highly recommend and we would definitely stay again.

The annexe was a welcoming, comfortable and quiet place to spend a few days, we would definitely come back again. Coton is away from the busy centre of Cambridge but close enough to seem really close! Thanks Karen for a lovely stay.

The pictures were accurate, however, the kitchen seemed larger once there. They left eggs, bread, butter, jam etc, milk, tea and coffee which was great. There were plenty of t-towels and kitchen cloths. The bathroom had a hand towel and holder by the sink, a hook on the back of the bathroom door and plenty of shelves and cupboard space. Sounds fussy but most places don't think of them. There's a tv in the lounge and bedroom. A lovely separate patio was at the end of the bungalow and wasn't overlooked. It was only about 15 mins walk to shops and 3 Inns. Angie and Steve have a lovely private bungalow to stay in. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here. They have a beautiful black labrador too.

We had a lovely couple of days in Histon! Our accommodation was cosy, clean and in a great location. Beck was a thoughtful and friendly host, who ensured our stay was comfortable - especially as it was during one of the hottest days of the year so far! A highly recommended destination by us.
