The 1621. 3-room apartment Historic Center

CarolynRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Fantastic location! If you love history, nature, quaint shops and restaurants, beautiful surroundings, and historic archetecture, you will love it here. It was my favorite stop in my travels through five countries over three months. The town is magical and of course, the town is a short drive or bus ride to the Normandy D-day beaches and quaint fishing villages/harbors. The loft is spacious, well-appointed, and has great views of town. The building is old (about 400 years old, I think), so you must forgive it some rough edges, so to speak. But, it was warm (I was there the month of January), comfortable, and met all my needs. Wonderful, warm, responsive hosts. Grocery next door, restaurants and pastry shops up and down the street. I could not have asked for more.

Beautiful ground floor apartment, terrace and garden in the city center

BobRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
As others have mentioned this is an excellent holiday flat and superb base from which to explore Normandy and the beautiful city of Caen. The flat is clean, comfortable and is very well equipped for self-catering though the nearby town center bars and restaurants may tempt you out at little more that you planned. Highlights include secure and convenient parking, excellent bathroom and shower, comfortable bed and the bonus of a lovely private garden to kick back while sampling the local calvados in the evening. As mentioned the flat is very central with a five minute walk into the center for fresh bread and croissants in the morning. Caen itself is full of surprises with beautiful churches and abbeys combined with a very laid back atmosphere. Though we did not meet Christine her ongoing communication was both discrete and charming. Book you wont regret it. 5 stars all round

G, apartment in listed building 50 m from cathedral

JayneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We spent one perfect week at Mathieu’s place and had an absolutely terrific experience! If you’re looking for an apartment in Bayeux, this is where you want to stay, hands down. The location is perfectly situated for walking to shops, markets, and cafes in the old town center and is also centrally-located for exploring the Normandy area. The apartment is inviting, peaceful, and clean with a comfortable bed. We especially enjoy livable locations where we can hear the church bells ring, and this was no exception at Mathieu’s place since the cathedral is just down the street (with a stunning view from the family room window). The bells add to the ambiance and experience, and fear not for they don’t ring through the night so your sleep isn’t interrupted. Only good things to say about this place!

Charming & vintage house, landing beaches

AbbieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We simply can’t express how much we loved our stay. Pascal met us when we got there and wished us well when we left. The home is comfortable and historic. We celebrated our 25th anniversary while there and Pascal gave us pastries from a local bakery. It was a lovely place for exploring Bayeux and all of the D-Day sites. We will never forget it.

Holiday cottage, 14400 SAINT-LOUP-HORS, BAYEUX

RichardRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Bernard and Isabelle were great hosts, the place is as described and was perfect for our needs. We were able to walk to town in ten minutes where you are spoiled for choice of restaurants and bars. Bayeux itself is a beautiful town with close proximity to the Allied landings, which is why we came. I would not hesitate to return myself or recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

The most spectacular view in Port-en-Bessin!

JillRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay in Franks waterfront house. We enjoyed watching the fishing boats go in and out of the lock. Able to easily walk to restaurants and cafes. Wifi was strong. Parking was easy. Beds were comfortable. The perfect ending was spending the last evening soaking up the warm sun on the comfy patio couches. Very relaxing. We did not spend much time in the house or use the kitchen, but it looked very well stocked. Thank you ! Would definitely stay again and recommend.

The perched house

MaryRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Aurore was a great host and responded immediately to questions we had. The place is absolutely charming, yes it is old, yes the stairs are not what you might find in modern home—— thank goodness for that! It gave us the great experience of a typical early 18th century Bayeux home. The place was nicely furnished and the bed was super comfy. Everything worked as it was supposed to. I don’t think we could have asked for more. (And the best towels we have had during our week here!). The parking, though not super easy was fine once we got our bearings. The area was safe and we had no reservations about parking on the street in the free spaces around the corner. I would highly recommend this wonderful unique place! Thank you Aurore for sharing your home and thank you for the thoughtful welcome gifts.

chez Noella

VictoriaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay at Noella’s place. She was so kind to go above and beyond and help us transport some of our bags from the train station. She was also very patient with us, as we don’t speak French, but we understood enough through context to communicate. The place was very clean and had exactly what we needed for our stay. We had three people sleep in the two beds upstairs and two others sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, and everyone was very comfortable. The only downside was that our stay was so short. We would have loved to explore more around town and I know we would have enjoyed an even longer stay at her place!

Maison Saint Floxel, Bayeux city center

BradleyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was such a great find for our trip around France. The location was perfect: it was quiet, yet less than a 10 minute pleasurable walk along the river into the shops and restaurants in Bayeux. The accommodation was cosy and had a separate garden in which we could sit in the evenings. Beatrice and Oliver made us feel so welcome and did everything they could to make sure we had everything we needed, including giving us access to their laundry room to store our bikes! We would definitely recommend Beatrice’s accommodation for a stay in Bayeux!!

Renovated house beautiful garden 10mn walkdowntown

RobRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Beatrice’s house was great! It is conveniently located between the town center of Bayeux and a huge grocery store. The garden yard is beautiful and amazing. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, and the decor had a warm, maximalistic feel. The master bathroom was efficient and equipped with commode, sink, and shower. The second bath is really two half baths, one half has a sink & tub with a hand shower, but the commode is in a small room down the hall. Nevertheless, this is a great place to stay in Bayeux!
