Cottage vacation rentals in Bayeux

The stay at Magali's was perfect. On vacation with our 3 children under 10 years old, we were looking for proximity to the sea, but also a beautiful house so that we could also stay quiet on some days. There were plenty of games and a Jacuzzi that made the whole family happy! We could reach incredible beaches in 5 minutes and do very nice bike tours! We recommend this house! (just be aware: there are no shutters in the bedrooms, only non-blackout curtains)

Very good stay at Michel and Martine's. The house is very nice, clean and a very nice garden. Several historic sites are near the property. They gave us some very helpful recommendations for our visits. We highly recommend. Thanks a lot for a lovely stay in Normandy. ☀️

We had a great weekend at Virginia's place, the kids enjoyed nature, we were able to fish and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, Thanks, we'll be back with pleasure.

Perfect stay in a beautiful rural part of France. All D-day and other historical events within easy driving distance with Bayeux 10 mins away for meals and shopping. Recommend you use a bike to explore the local areas.

Agnes was very attentive and responsive to my requests. She was kind and courteous. Its accommodation is conveniently located to radiate on the coast, between St Vaast and St mère l'église.

A cottage of great beauty with technology (TV, internet, jacuzzi) and rusticity (fireplace, half-timbering, nature)! A peaceful and warm place. Available and very pleasant staff, from arrival to departure. This is a place we would recommend without hesitation, and to which we will be happy to return!

Very quiet and relaxing countryside home, if you don’t mind the church bells, next door, tolling every hours and half hours. The house has been renovated with brand new kitchen and bathrooms. The hot water capacity is adequate (the majority of homes in France we stayed at allows for warm shower enough for one person, not this one) Régine is very sweet and quite accommodating. We felt at home, the moment we arrived at her property. Thank you Régine for sharing your gut with us.

We had a fantastic week at Deborah and Jean-Olivier's. The house is sumptuous, nestled on the edge of a wonderful park and accessible to guests, 2 steps from a huge orchard where our animals could walk safely. Jean-Olivier showed us some beautiful hiking trails nearby. We had a nice visit to the shop which is 2 steps from the house. We'll be back in this "little" paradise soon. Very beautiful house , Well decorated, clean. Very welcoming host who took the time to recommend a place to go for a drink and watch the game. I would recommend it .

We had a nice relaxing stay at the gite. It is quite remote and not walkable to any restaurants or amenities. But it’s an easy drive to Omaha Beach, Bayeux, Utah Beach and Saint Mere Eglise so a great location for exploring Normandy. We enjoyed our visit to Normandy and loved sitting on the deck in the morning sunlight before our day.

Good value location for exploring area by car. Compact but well equipped apartment. Only negative was advertised as three beds, but sofa bed was unusable, so two adult children had to share small double bed

A wonderful place to stay in rural Normandy. Jean-Francois is an excellent, friendly & helpful host. La Baronnie offers everything you need for a peaceful getaway, with excellent outdoor space to complement the cosy lounge and kitchen/diner. Gouvets is a lovely quiet village with nice walks, and well located for the major sights and attractions of Normandy

We were happy with the place. It was all very clean and quiet. Unfortunately, contrary to the description, there was no baby crib. Otherwise, it would be important to know that if you bring your own bed linen, the French size (240x220 cm) is required. Unfortunately, we did not consider that - it is also not specified.

A big thank you to Nathalie and Damien for their hospitality and the quality of the accommodation. Everything comes together for a great stay: the cottage is clean, nicely decorated, cozy and very well-equipped. It immediately felt good. We had a great time as a family and would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to discover Normandy. It's a really great starting point, between the sea, the countryside and lots of places full of history.

Description perfectly accurate. The house was perfectly functional, very clean and super quiet with great WiFi for working if needed. Finally, Catherine and her spouse were very welcoming. I would recommend it without a second thought and would definitely be back. Thanks again

Odile’s place was idyllic. Our kids loved the goats, chickens, sheep and horses surrounding the property. Odile was very sweet and easy to communicate with!

This was an amazing stay! Tony was very proactive from the beginning with helpful information and recommendations. The house is nestled in the countryside and would be hard to find were it not for Tony's very clear instructions illustrated with pictures to make sure we found it easily. The location is breathtaking, even in March when spring hadn't quite fruits way there yet. I'd love to return to see the blooms and fruit trees ripening. The surroundings were straight out of a storybook. The interior matched that effect. Rooms held decor featuring bunnies and florals in a true French country style that reminded me of childhood and tales of Peter Rabbit. We frequently saw wild rabbits nibbling the grass outside our windows. It was magical for our children. The house is well stocked with everything you could possibly need and more, even a play area with many toys, games and books. The beds were comfortable and the linens were soft and warm. There was heat & hot water. Highly recommend!

We had the best stay here, everything was clean and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with a baby. The private outdoor area was perfect for Al fresco lunches, it was a quick and easy walk to the beach and onto the high street, there was private parking and an amazing park just behind the house. Pascals communication was excellent, letting us know we could check in early and providing so many helpful instructions for the house and tips for the local area. We can’t wait to stay again!

Beautiful home, very cozy, clean and lovely decor. Very spacious with everything you need. Has 2 sofas in living room with dining table. Great having two bathrooms and showers, also a bath. Has TV in first floor bedroom, further 2 bedrooms on third floor. Also Kitchen has everything you need including dishwasher, was great having large wine glasses and cups. Has small conservatory area where you can sit and has a lovely outside raised decking with sun beds. Location is great, right next to restaurant, very quiet, did not hear any noise. More great restaurants near by and ideally situated to see all the sites. Good communication from host and good instructions for gaining access to the house, was someone there to meet us who showed us around. Had to ask a question to the host on first day and they were very responsive. Would definitely recommend this lovely house. Thank you Freddy for a lovely stay.

Very good location, easy to get around to the different museums and a few minutes' walk from the boardwalk along the sea. The house renovated with quality and the content met our needs. We regretted not booking longer in this place.

We had a great time in this peaceful retreat, in the middle of the calm of nature and a few sheep in the garden next door. Ideal for relaxing and enjoying the Pays d 'Auge. The house was perfect for us (couple with 1 child). We really appreciated Brigitte's welcome and kindness. The house is very well located and allows you to visit the whole area with a minimum of travel.

We felt very comfortable with Véronique and Rémy and can only recommend this quiet and cozy apartment. They are very nice and helpful as hosts, the apartment was exceptionally clean and is sensibly equipped. We knew beforehand that it is a bit off the beaten track, but if you want to make excursions to Caen, the coast and the picturesque Suisse Normande, it is wonderfully located. The property is like a small park, beautiful, quiet and extremely well maintained. We would book with Véronique and Rémy again anytime.
