Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Basilicata

Phenomenal location with beautiful views. Accommodations were great and communication with host was easy. I locked us out of the apartment and host was there very quickly to let us in. We rented a car and the parking is quite expensive and confusing, which our host notified us about. I would definitely recommend Daniela’s place and would come back again. It’s a very local feel, but close enough to be in the “thick of things”.

I highly recommend this beautiful house in Matera, it’s so cozy and in the perfect location. The view from the terrace is so amazing! Giuseppe is a wonderful host, very responsive and he let us check in early, which was great because my small kids were tired. Thanks so much for everything!

In the heart of Matera’s quiet streets: A private home with a terrace overlooking the small square below and a rooftop terrace above. Very spacious, typical local house with all the modern comforts. Thanks to the great communication with Stefania, we were able to park the car easily and quickly made our way to the Duomo square, where Stefania was waiting for us. From there, it was just a short walk to the Airbnb. We truly enjoyed our stay in this unique setting. I would book again without hesitation.

We loved Habitat. Being on the outer edge of the Sassi it was easy to find and easy to return to throughout the day. Compliments to Emanuele - he has created an intimate space with all the modern comforts within an ancient stone structure. Appreciated the water that was in the fridge upon arrival ! Excellent internet too. A memorable stay in Matera.

We absolutely loved this cozy understated and charming little place. The location is so central and yet there was almost no foot traffic in front of the apartment not to mention that there are no cars in this zone. There are tons a great spots to eat nearby. Patrizia was great- she reached out ahead of our arrival to make sure we knew where to go and was very responsive when we had questions about the hot water (which were quickly resolved) . Some bigger-bodied people might find it hard to get in the door of the apartment as well as the shower. Pareizia put out a few breakfast items which were handy for our departure day when we had to leave for a long bus ride before the cafes were open. This was a great little place and it made for a unique experience at a very reasonable price. I would happily come back or send friends.

I have booked this apartament 24h before arriving and have to admit that I wouldnt be able to find anything better. Flexible check in hours, cozy and comfy apartament with really unique style, friendly and proactive host - 100% recommend to everyone!

The sweetest, most accommodating hosts & perfect location. We couldn't have asked for a better spot and start to our trip. Right in the heart of the main area, easy walk to any point of the city (we love getting our steps in), and the view was so beautiful. Plus not a horrible amount of stars to get to the spot. Would go back over and over again!

Wir waren ein paar Tage in AnnaLisas und Beppes Unterkunft und es war wunderbar! Schon im Voraus haben wir alle nötigen Infos und Antworten bekommen, die unsere Ankunft benötigten. Wir sind mit dem Mietwagen angereist und hatten keine Probleme, die Adresse zu finden und einen Parkplatz zu bekommen (es gibt direkt vor dem Haus kostenfreie und kostenpflichtige - 50Ct/Stunde - Parkplätze. Die Wohnung ist hell und sehr sauber und es gab alles, was wir für unseren Aufenthalt von ein paar Tagen brauchten. Vor allem die Lage direkt an der historischen Innenstadt ist sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man zu Fuß etwas die Umgebung erkunden möchte. Die Altstadt ist wunderschön und es herrscht eine freundlich-offene Atmosphäre. Besonders die historischen Bäckereien und vielen Konditoreien sollte man auf jeden Fall erkunden. Wir hatten eine sehr entspannte Zeit und würden jederzeit wieder kommen! Absolute Empfehlung!

Prospero est extrêmement gentil et arrangeant, plein de bons conseils. L’appartement était très propre et particulièrement bien équipé. Nous avons pu facilement nous garer dans la rue et le centre historique est accessible à pied.

Luciano is awesome, the apartment is awesome, and Matera is awesome. We stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute! The view of the Sassi from the small balcony is something we spent hours enjoying and will never forget. It was fun to stay in a cave and yet enjoy modern amenities. Luciano left us great reading material about Matera and made excellent recommendations for food and sight seeing. We would not hesitate to stay again if we are lucky enough to come to Italy again. Thank you, Luciano, for giving us the opportunity to experience such a magical place.

Perfect location to explore Sassi, easy parking, walkable, fabulous restaurants recommendations, and every thing was so perfect with welcome fruit, breakfast, coffee, and more. The place is so new and well cared for that 5 star rating is just not enough. Really great experience.

Het verblijf in de b&b van Cosimo was top! Het was een superleuk loft appartement waar wij verbleven met onze zoon van 1 jaar. Cosimo was erg behulpzaam en aardig en als er wat was kon hij direct helpen. De auto parkeren was ook geen probleem en stond praktisch voor het huis. De sfeer van het huis is superleuk en ook de ligging is top. Je loopt zo Matera in en alles wat je nodig hebt is binnen handbereik. Oh en niet te vergeten: het internet is hier super! Mocht je ergens remote willen werken (wat ik wel af en toe moest) dan kan dat hier echt mega goed! Nergens in Italië was het internet zo snel als hier. Kortom: een heerlijke plek! Als wij weer in Matera zijn, komen we zeker terug!

Beautiful place that is very close to the city center and all of the sights of Matera. You can walk everywhere from the apartment. We especially appreciated private parking, where we could keep our car safe. The host was proactive, helped us park on arrival, and very responsive. Excellent experience, would absolutely stay again.

The view from this airbnb is incredible! Comfortable beds, great shower, the host was very helpful with parking and other tips. They do charge more per person that stays in the airbnb, which I guess is an increasingly common practice but worth knowing if you need flexibility with that.

Eliana welcomed us with a thorough tour of her apartment and some great ideas of what to do in the area. She supplied a handy map with walking tours illustrated. The apartment has a quirky layout and a spacious bedroom. It was great to have access to the outdoor space to enjoy our wine and cheese. Though we had to get used to all the steps of the town, Matera and its surroundings are really magical. Since we were there for three days and four nights, we were glad to have our own kitchen and so handy to have access to her potable water dispenser in both still and sparkling options. It was also great to find a small supermarket at the top of the street just a few minutes away! We certainly got lost in the sassi several times, but that's all part of the experience. And the hike across the gorge to the caves on the opposite side was more than worth it. I've been to Europe many times, and I think this is one of the most unique places I've stayed. Thanks for the memories :)

I stayed for a few days at Anna's place with my dog. It was wonderful! Right in the middle of nature in a small village, there are plenty of trails to hike around this area. Anna and her family were incredibly friendly. Anna even took the time to show me around the village and its church! The apartment is very cozy, with a beautiful wood stove. I highly recommend!

Nicola y Eleonora fueron muy amables y respondían rápidamente para ayudarnos a encontrar un estacionamiento y se mostraron bastante gentiles desde que llegamos hasta que nos fuimos. El lugar se encuentra a unos minutos a pie del centro histórico de Bari, donde se pueden encontrar varios restaurantes y bares. Estaba bastante limpio y ordenado.

Le logement était impeccable: propre, bien équipé et bien situé. Nino a très bien communiqué. Nous recommandons ce logement pour visiter la belle ville de Matera.

Angela est une personne incroyable, le logement proposé est superbe, l’endroit est calme et reposant, la piscine est un vrai plus, et le jardin avec transat et hamac est génial. Angela nous a recommandé des restaurants qui étaient divins, où nous avons été accueillis super bien, elle avait même réservé pour nous ! Bref allez-y les yeux fermés ! Gros coup de coeur pour Malaika et surtout Nana, ses chiennes qui sont tellement adorables !

Perfectly located in the center of Bari at a 10 min walk from the old center. Very spacious. Would definitely eat at the restaurant that Angelo recommendates.

We absolutely loved this place. Clean and beautifully renovated. The balcony overlooks a stunning piazza. It’s a walk to the old town but situated in a great area with lots of yummy affordable restaurants!
