B&B Portacastello, Guest house - Basilicata

OrnellaRating, 5 stars85 months ago
Beautiful experience in the quiet borhetto Lucano! Rent new and super recommended rooms. Kindness, amenities, and cleanliness, really high. Large bathroom with fantastic multipurpose shower! The colors and decor of the entire structure that is located on the second floor of a home with entrance to the rooms that have private bathrooms are beautiful. Great breakfast at a nearby cafe. Very convenient location for a classic weekend in Basilicata but also for longer stays considered the exceptional value for money. The magnificent Castello di Lagopesole is easily reachable in ten minutes on foot and there are also points of Ristoro in the immediate vicinity while many tourist resorts such as Venosa, Castelmezzano, Melfi, Potenza, San Fele, Monticchio are just a few kilometers away and Matera is also just over an hour away. I recommend it to everyone and will definitely be back!

Suite Green Apartment with Terrace

Roberto is a great host, from the very beginning he was very friendly and responsive. While check-in, he provided all the details clearly, and gave a lot of information about where to visit, what to eat etc. Apartment has two separate sections. 1) Studio apartment: One bedroom with double bed and private bathroom. 2) One bedroom apartment: One bedroom with one double bed and one single bed + living room with small kitchen and one single sofa bed + bathroom. The building itself is very well maintained, everything as seen in the pictures. Shower cabin is a little bit small but this is something acceptable for such an old building. Location is great, in the middle of Old City Altamura. I would stay here again.

da Ciccio e Concy 1st floor apartment

Enzo was very helpful and communicative and gave us several helpful tips. The apartment has a beautiful panoramic view of Tursi and is just below the beautiful Arab fortress called Rabatana. The apartment is completely renovated with antique furniture restored by the Don Mazzi recovery community. Waking up in the morning with that view was beautiful. Tursi is a lively village inhabited by very friendly people. We would recommend Tursi and especially Enzo's apartment to anyone and we can't wait to return. F. & E.

The perfect place to stay! A real gem in Matera and a great place to stay close to the old city. Very clean and easy communication with the host. Upon arrival was greeted by the most lovely receptionist who was very helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend to anyone going to Matera and will return soon! Thanks again, Anna and Mike.

Room Sintonia,Villa Armonia,Praia a Mare/Tortora

LuigiRating, 5 stars22 months ago
Extremely courteous, attentive and helpful host. The villa, beautiful and thoughtful, has two pools. The room and common areas were spacious and clean. Breakfast is also great for the many options. The courtesy sets are very appreciated. The property is not in the center but in a favorable location to get around by car and reach the most beautiful places in the area. The stay was ultimately extremely pleasant even for the stately and selected context. Highly recommended.
A spacious bed is adorned with decorative pillows, and light blue bedding is neatly arranged. Fresh towels are stacked on the bed, alongside a soft blanket. A round mirror and a dresser are visible in the softly lit room, enhancing the serene atmosphere.

Suite Lux Panorama, Villa Armonia, Praia a Mare

AnnRating, 5 stars96 months ago
A very nice b&b. We had the suite in the family house which was very comfortable and had own terrace and sitting area and bar fridge. If possible though ask for the Panorama suite as you don't have to be in the family's house. The kitchen is in the family house too and but note it costs 20 euros to use.. You may as well eat out. The pool area is terrific with umbrellas and plenty of seating. Breakfast was tasty both mornings. The owner in Switzerland was helpful as was the host on site. We got lost using Airbnb GPS location - took us too far up the hill. Take the exit SP13 towards AITEA. Then It is the first turn to the right (less than 100 metres after you take the exit) going up the hill. If you get to the hospital you have gone too far.
A serene outdoor pool area is framed by palm trees and lush greenery. Sun loungers are positioned around the pool, which reflects the surrounding landscape. Rolling hills and fields stretch out in the distance, offering a peaceful backdrop for relaxation.

Amazingly beautiful, peaceful and romantic location. Moody and airy restaurant with tasty dishes in a nearby historic house. Lovely small villa with two bedrooms in sufficient privacy. Very friendly and well-organized staff. Wish we had more time to stay, arrived at night and had to leave next noon. Thank you so much :)
An outdoor area is presented with several round white tables placed on green grass, illuminated by string lights overhead. The building in the background features large windows and a wavy roofline, contributing to a relaxing and spacious environment.

basilicata on the fly apartments

JosephRating, 5 stars22 months ago
Nico was extremely helpful! We wanted to see this place, because some of our ancestors lived in the town. We weren't certain how to get here and back again and we had to cancel our first booking, but Nico was gracious about our difficulties and we were able to come for a couple of nights after all. He provided us everything we possibly want and treated us like old friends. We stayed in the mini-apartment under the arch, rather than the hostel, because of availability, and it was perfect for our needs. There is a small kitchen, a patio, a bathroom, a couple of couches and a bed. The town is very charming to walk around and there are a handful of small restaurants & bars. There is also a castle which is free to tour, and if you are in the mood to stretch your legs, you may find a steep walking path down the east side of the mountain.
