Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Balboa Island

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful weekend rental! The unit itself was modern, spotless, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. The location couldn’t be better — close to the beach, shops, and plenty of great food spots. The host was incredibly attentive and responsive, which made our stay even better. One thing to note: this is the unit in the back of the property, not the front, which was a bit confusing at first, but once we found it, everything was perfect. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a convenient and stylish place to stay!

A fabulous house, excellent location.

Fantastic stay! We loved our time here. The house was beautiful and clean. Exactly as described. Very well stocked kitchen and linens and towels. Not stripped down like other rentals I have stayed at. The location was perfect. Walked right to the beach or restaurants. No driving needed which is key as parking in the area can be tough. Neighbors are friendly and even though this house is so close to the pier it was very quiet. Will definitely come back to stay again.

Great Location - house extremely well stocked - house was very clean & bright - house layout was fantastic for our family of 12 persons - great kitchen for cooking - street side parking was always close by and convenient - It worked very well for us - 👍👍

Fantastic stay at the Marvel house!! It was amazing with such great theming, lots to do, great scavenger hunt, and a super host! You must stay here and the grand kids loved the arcade games, heated pool, and movie room,etc…too much to mention….

Nothing but a glowing review. We stayed for over 5 weeks while we renovated our house. My top compliment is that the manager, Dana, was incredibly responsive, friendly and accommodating. The times we reached out, she responded within minutes. The home was incredibly spacious, comfortable, clean and we immediately felt at home. The rooms are all a great size with ample closet space. Loved the setup downstairs with a large living room and garage parking was a huge bonus. Everything was very clean and well-stocked. We don't have one complaint and would stay again in a heartbeat.

This was probably our favorite Airbnb we’ve stayed at to date! Amazing location, you are literally steps from the beach. Newport is such a great area!Took a short 10 minute walk to pick up coffee and bagels in the morning, and ate on the private upper deck. Beds were super comfortable! Hosts were always friendly and responsive. Would highly recommend, easy 5 stars all around. Thank you!

Our first impression when we drove up to our entrance meet our expectations. The garage, walkway and entrance was clean and welcoming. Easy access into all spaces. The apartment was clean, spacious and was full of natural light. Loved the fans that kept the space cool. The kitchen had everything we needed. A big thank to our hosts. They were able to give us access early access and were responsive when we had questions. If they would have us again, we would love to come back. ❤️

We had the best time in this little gem of an apartment. Located in a lovely, quiet residential neighborhood of Aliso Viejo with direkt access to trails, a good connection to the freeway and only few minutes by car to beautiful Laguna Beach. Cari is an exceptional host, very thoughtful and attentive whilst always being mindful of everyone’s privacy. The unit sits tucked away in the lush and green backyard of the main property and allows for a quiet stay and feeling of safety and calm. The unit is fairly small with a tiny kitchenette, but offers everything one can need to handle daily life. Very thoughtfully equipped to make the most of every square foot, clean and high end appliances. Highly recommend this place - whether that’s for vacation or for seeking a temporary home.

Alex is one of the best Airbnb hosts I’ve come across. I had lots of questions and he was so flexible with all my requests. If we return to Disney I would definitely stay again (however keep in mind it isn’t a walkable distance to Disney if that’s your purpose) Such a cute place!

A Perfect Stay! I couldn’t have asked for a better Airbnb experience. The home was exactly as described—immaculately clean, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. Every little detail had been thought through, from the cozy linens to the fully stocked kitchen. The check-in process was smooth and communication with the host Janet was prompt and friendly throughout. The neighborhood was close to everything I needed—restaurants, shops, and attractions. It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and seamless stay. I’ll definitely be booking again!

We had to evacuate our home in LA due to the wildfires. Michelle was quick to answer and very kind. Check in was so easy! We felt comfortable and safe.

This is the perfect little place right next to New Port Pier. It was clean and spacious. It was fun to be next to the pier with all the restaurants and shops. The beach is just steps away and they have a cute farmers market on Sundays. It was perfect.

This place was spectacular. My fiance and I really enjoyed this cozy spot and everything was as described. Place has a vintage look and feel to it that I really loved. Plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and nightlife that we’re walking distance. Cynthia, I would like to say you are awesome! You were so responsive to our messages and just made our stay much more comfortable. Again thank you for everything.

The place is so peaceful and steps away from the beach. As other reviewers have mentioned, can hear the sound of the waves from the space. Sheryl is awesome and responsive. The apartment itself is so clean and well-equipped.

Fantastic place to stay, helpful instructions from the host, impeccably clean and a perfect location for us, as we wanted to be able to visit both LA and San Diego so being between the two made it so easy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay around orange!

Megan was amazing! She was extremely responsive, gave great local recommendations, and made us feel at home. The Daisy suite was so cozy, neat, and beautiful too! I would most definitely recommend staying here, it’s a gem in Long Beach :)
