Beachfront vacation rentals in Balboa Island

This place was exactly as advertised. We spent hours sitting outside in the yard relaxing during our stay which is exactly what we'd hoped for. The location was perfect: right near the beach and restaurants but in a quiet community. I'd love to stay here again.

We stayed at the Dana’s Ocean View residence in Huntington Beach for several days in early May 2025. We brought our small pup hoping to find a location that was close to the beach and near restaurants and stores. Its proximity to so many places within walking distance means we can spend more time staying active and exploring places nearby. After long days of fun and sun, the back patio with a fire pit and grill meant we could relax outside while the ocean breeze rolled in. The residence itself was clean and well maintained. We would spend time here again without hesitation. Thank you Dana for allowing us to stay here!

The bungalow at Newport Beach was perfect for our family. We had beach towels, chairs,umbrella surf/boogie boards and beach toys available for use along with a wagon to haul items. We had convenient walkable access to beach. There is not a drip coffee pot so we had to purchase one. The weather was perfect and I loved having the windows opened for fresh air. We hope to be back in the future.

This place was perfect for our family! My husband always has a difficult time sleeping away from home, but he didn’t have trouble sleeping here! The beds are super comfortable, along with the linens, pillows, etc. We were able to get great use out of the wagon and boogie boards. I loved the location; we walked to the beach in under 10min, walked to the grocery store, and of course my husband enjoyed his morning walk to Starbucks every morning. The kitchen had a beautiful gas stove where we enjoyed cooking every night. Greg, I can’t thank you enough for our best family trip yet!!!

We had an alternate booking cancel less than 24 hours of arrival so I was in a panic to find something dog friendly. John responded immediately to my booking request and was very helpful. The place ended up being a great location a block from the beach and just a walk to lots of great food. Very clean. Thank you!

The PERFECT place!! Location. Location. Location. Clean. Responsive. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. It had it all. Parking for 2nd vehicle was a challenge but really not that bad. Neighborhood was super safe and plenty to do and walking distance. Truly amazing in every way. Highly recommend.

Fantastic house in a fantastic location. We stay in Newport often and this is one of the best bang-for-your-buck spots out there!

This is a cool spot! I’d stay here over anyone’s spare bedroom for the same price in the OC area. Staff is kind, amenities are awesome, and the location is hard to beat! Minutes walk to the beach. We were able to stay here for about 7 days for an awesome price. I want to visit again!

I absolutely loved this Airbnb! The 2 bed, 2 bath setup was perfect. The couches were super comfortable, and the view of the beach from the balcony was stunning. There was plenty to do in the area, yet it still felt peaceful and relaxing. You really can’t beat the location—just minutes from the Long Beach Aquarium and close to everything we needed. Hands down, one of my favorite Airbnbs ever!

Fantastic stay at a beautiful property. Unfortunately, I was just in the area for a 3-day conference, so didn't get a chance to really enjoy the unit or all the things to do in the area. We had an amazing stay! The resort offered so many activities, beautiful pools, and was just steps from the ocean. Everything was gorgeous, both inside and out. The room was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed. Bethany was wonderful — easy to communicate with, very helpful, and always responsive. Any small needs we had were quickly taken care of by the resort staff as well. It was truly a perfect vacation. We would absolutely love to come back!

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The space was spotless—everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The location was incredibly convenient, close to everything we needed with easy access to restaurants and shops. The beds were very comfortable, and we all slept great. The design and furnishings were modern and stylish, and the amenities went above and beyond—from a well-equipped kitchen to thoughtful touches throughout the home. Highly recommend this place and would absolutely stay again!

never stayed on the bay side &I ended up loving it. beautiful &modern + huge front patio AND a back patio, perfect for my husky. barely left &already booked another visit in a couple weeks

We celebrated our son's birthday at this location and it was a blast. So close to all the restaurants and bars and a five minute walk to the sand! We love Newport Beach and you cannot beat this location. We will hopefully visit again soon!

Had a great stay! Perfect location, just one street away from the beach and the pier. Todd was very communicative. There was an issue with the garage during our stay and Todd took care of it very quickly and had clear communication through it all. We had an exceptional experience! Fits 4 people maximum. The two sofa beds unfortunately weren’t very comfy and could’ve used a mattress pad! Luckily, after a day on the beach we were so tired that it didn’t really affect our sleep.

Our stay at Ellen’s place was wonderful:) Studio is equipped with all you can possibly need. On top of that organic coffee, cheeses and champagne made our days and evenings even more special 🥰 Location is perfect!! 10steps from the beach and walking distance to everything(park, tennis courts, grocery store, restaurant, pier). We did not use a car at all while visiting! Last but not least, hosts are very lovely people who welcome you with open arms! Thank you, A&S

Great location - for proximity to beach and value for money this can't be beat. Kitchen was well stocked but also tidy - so much keurig usage (thank you!) plenty of bath and beach towels, cozy fireplace, and very nicely sized master suite upstairs in main house. For a family and in laws this is PERFECT.

We enjoyed our stay. Great host, always replied quickly, and kindly accommodated check-in and check-out requests. Thank you!
