Lovely property, very spacious and clean with private parking. Lots of amenities within walking distance. Easy to find. We couldn't fault it!
The stone exterior of the cottage features a pitched roof with slate tiles. French doors open onto a patio area surrounded by a well-maintained lawn, complemented by decorative planters. A scenic view of the surrounding countryside is visible in the background.

Arts and crafts cottage

Really lovely cottage, in a lovely part of the world. We managed to make the most of the facilities in our four days. The grounds and setting are really lovely and give the impression of being really remote, although in reality you are 5 mins from the local town by car. This was a very spacious, comfortable and well equipped place to stay and acted as a really good base for exploring the county. Abbotsford, Peebles and Traquair House were all highlights for us and were handy by road. Recommend The Crown in Biggar for dinner and drinks, and then home to a roaring fire in the log burner. Reasonable access to nearby charge spots if you are EV users like us. Excellent hosts with an excellent property!
A modern bathroom sink is shown, featuring a sleek chrome faucet and a minimalistic design. The white basin sits against a dark textured wall, creating a contemporary look. The drain is visible at the bottom, complementing the overall clean aesthetic.

The room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Silviya was very helpful and friendly, advising on local facilities, and finding a place to store my bike overnight. I would come again if in the area.

Single bed in beautiful cottage in rural setting

AmyRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Omy, I had such an amazing time in Susan and her family home. It was my first solo trip, super exciting but also a bit scary! But right from the start, when i walked through the front door It fell as home. The home is just so beautiful, cosy and homey. Susan and her family made sure I was feeling at easy when i first arrived. They were out for a lovely birthday, but she made sure that i could find everything with ease (she hung post-its up for me!). When I got back from a day out, she made a cup of tea for me and listen to all the stories I had to tell (and i talk a lot haha!). I really can't wait to stay at their house again! Just thinking about eating my breakfast in front of the open doors and the garden, makes my heart full with warmth. Don't second guess for staying with Susan. You will feel the main character in your own The Holiday movie ;) Susan thank you again so much. With Love, Amy

Secluded off-grid cabin in easy reach of Edinburgh

JadeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We here for 2 nights to give our elderly dog Kiera a 'last holiday' and when we arrived, we were blown away by the cabin. The hosts vibe shines through in all the little details. Unfortunately, Kiera took a turn for the worse after spending just 5 hours here and we had to head home to the vets. Lotte was extremely understanding and compassionate when we had to leave the cabin early. We are gutted we didn't get to spend the full time here to appreciate it's full experience, but wouldn't hesitate in booking again. We plan to book here again every year to remember the time we had with Kiera. The cabin is located in a little piece of heaven and is exactly what you need to get off grid and forget about life for a while. the record player was a great touch too! 10/10

My employees stayed at the property as a home away from home for a work trip. Oche was helpful and friendly, proactive with responses and very accommodating. The property is great value for money, easy check in, nice & clean. Thanks again, will definitely book again next time we're in the area 😊👍️
The image showcases a serene path surrounded by lush greenery, leading toward a radiant sunset. The warm glow of the sun casts a soft light on the pathway, while the silhouettes of two horses can be seen in the foreground, enhancing the tranquil rural setting.

Dovetshill Guest House

AgnesRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Just returned from a 2-night stay @ Dovetshill Farm. Such a lovely peaceful place, added extra was the hot tub. Spotlessly clean with everything we needed for our stay. The dog & cats welcomed us when we arrived but they were no trouble at all. Jenny was kind enough to recommend a taxi firm in order for us to venture down to the local golf club for dinner/drinks. Amazing food/friendly staff, would highly recommend
