Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Amsterdam-Zuid

The place is really very cozy and inviting. Due to the existing Rituals products, the house also smelled very good. I can only report good things about the immediate surroundings. It is nice, quiet and idyllic, yet you can get to Zandvoort or Amsterdam within a good 20 minutes by car. Ruud gave us really helpful tips on this. In addition, we were personally accompanied by him from the parking lot to the accommodation, which makes you feel immediately positive. We really enjoyed our time here. :)

The apartment is great, but the absolute highlight is the terrace on 3 sides of the house, right on the water. The large glass fronts in the living room give a view of the water, which makes the apartment special even in cool temperatures. The only downside is that you don't want to go on a trip, but just want to stay in the apartment.

Our hosts were so responsive, thoughtful, and gave great recommendations! The location was perfectly located and central. Can’t recommend this apartment enough!

After a long day in Amsterdam, we enjoyed the tranquility in Broek in Waterland at Haico's. The house is cozy and has everything we needed: a comfortable bed, a clean shower and a well-equipped kitchen where we could prepare our breakfast and make small meals like pasta or sandwiches in the evening. The location is ideal to get to Amsterdam quickly, and the bus connection is very good.

Joost was an amazing host to me and my family! It was the first time that we were traveling abroad with our 11mo son and he made us feel right at home- even had a travel crib set up upon arrival. The location is very convenient - right above a coffee shop which Joost gives vouchers for :) very walkable and overall great space!

Astrid’s place was an absolute gem and worth every cent. It’s just outside of Amsterdam - in a beautiful part of Zaandam, close to shops, busses and the historical (and magical!) Zaan Schasse area. We were able to party hard in Amsterdam, and catch the train and bus back late at night without issues. We would also go into Amsterdam for the day, and then retreat back to the cabin for cozy, quiet nights. You get a feel for Dutch city life and Dutch suburban life here, and we are so glad we chose Astrid’s place. PS - the cabin is a near a cocoa factory - so every morning you wake up to the whole area smelling like chocolate! Big win.

We stayed here for 5 days. Wonderful to relax and unwind in the rural cottage with large private garden. The children had fun with the swing and the trampoline. With the canoes, we sailed a few times between the farmlands. Wood was provided for the fireplace where we also lit the BBQ. I was hoping to be able to fish here from the garden. Unfortunately, this did not work. There was only 20 cm of water and the bottom was very blubbery. After a hot day, the upper floor was very warm where our children slept. Fortunately, it cooled down well in the evening. In short, we had a few very nice days. Kind regards, Gerard, Tjitske, Doutzen and Rinske. PS. Laura and her husband Arjan were the perfect hosts! Arjan served us breakfast each morning which included a basket of fresh bread, fruits and cheese. Arjan provided us with great recommendations and most especially - showed us how to use the tram system! It is a lovely apartment and they made us feel very welcome.

This was a beautiful little studio. I loved how charmingly it was decorated, and that it didn't look like a generic, gray Airbnb that so many look like. The location was super central. Less than a 10 minute walk from the train station, and in the center of tourist attractions. The only thing that I didn't love was that to lock and unlock the door from the inside, you had to use a key. This seems unsafe in an emergency when you would need to exit quickly and might not be able to find or access the key. But overall a great place and great host.

The location of the apartment is ideal with views of the canal and the old courthouse. Just a few minutes' walk from the Jordaan and the museum district. Theodora and her family, especially her son Stan, were very responsive and available. I highly recommend renting here

Fantastic apartment, really clean and comfortable in a great neighbourhood: peaceful but walking distance to everything you could need. Loes and Fokke are wonderful hosts, warm and helpful- we had a brilliant few days exploring the city from the perfect base.

The location is excellent. I was able to walk to the rijk museum and the Van Gogh museum. It was also an easy walk to the city centre. I had been taking the tram until i noticed that i could walk there.

Great location and great recommendations on food and drink. Would stay here again.

I can honestly say that this has been the loveliest stay I had in an Airbnb. The place feels like home right away. Sometimes you’ll be welcomed by two lovely very friendly and playful cats when get to the reception. The place is clean, and looks as good as the photos and even better. The best was very comfortable and the bathroom had everything you needed. There’s a wide collection of teas that I really enjoyed as well. Yes there’s no kitchen but I don’t think it’s really needed. The location of the apartment is so perfect. It’s near everything you’d need. There are many nice shops, cafes, bars and restaurants very close by. I’d really consider coming back to Everts place next time I come to Amsterdam.

Madelinde is a great host and was very welcoming. We had everything we needed. Great location! Close to bus stop and tram and an easy walk to the main attractions. We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next stay. We recommend.

The Condominium is in a nice quiet part of Amsterdam, but still easy to get to city centre. Was very clean and comfortable.

Jessica and her partner were very proactive and we were greeted the minute we parked the car. They live right next door. The apartment was immaculate and the views are stunning. Also good recommendations for nearby restaurants. Thanks for the hospitality.

Wonderful space! Beautiful interior, very well equipped for everything you might need over a long weekend stay. Marina was lovely, very helpful and communicative. The bed was extremely comfortable, location excellent, every part of the space is well thought out and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Location is perfect, place is nice and roomy, steps and hallway are a bit narrow but was totally fine for us. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Cute cafe nearby for breakfast. Host was great as well. Lots of good recommendations!!

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

Outstanding stay at Huis Roomolen! Henri & Mel were terrific, kind, and very responsive hosts ~ they assisted us with bike rentals nearby, loads of dining options, and a fully stocked studio for our brief time in Amsterdam. The studio itself is in a beautiful, quaint, and very safe area of the city, just blocks from many canals. The studio was impeccably clean, the terrace is lovely, as are the fish and greenery; and the bonus breakfast goodies made for such a relaxing morning before touring around. We highly recommend and would absolutely return! Thank you again, Mel & Henri, for a fabulous stay!

We enjoyed staying at Fleur’s apartment. It is very close to a tram stop which made it easy to get around, and it was well situated between the main areas of the city, making it a good base to explore from. The apartment was nice - it had everything we needed for a couple days in the city. The only thing to note is that the stairs within the apartment (from living area to bedroom) are narrow and steep, but this seems quite typical of stairs in this area- the same was true of stairs in restaurants in the area. Overall we had a great stay and I would stay there again!

A pleasure to stay here. Much better than a hotel. Felt like home from home. As a result of a great stay, will come back again with my wife. So close to the centre but also perfectly set a little away. Great restaurants, bakery and bars nearby. A great place for taking a run each day and of course, pick up a bike and take a ride.
