Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Ameland

We highly recommend this place. The apartment is clean, cozy and equipped with everything you might need. On request, a travel bed and a high chair were provided for our son. The apartment is located right in the city and you have restaurants, shops and co. right outside the front door.

What an excellent house to stay. Very great surroundings, quiet and beautiful stargazing at nights. Close enough for travelling around Friesland and/or visiting the isles of Ameland/Schiermonnikoog. The house itself has all features you need. Great kitchen, very good beds and big badroom. Highly recommended for a stay.

Peter welcomed us and showed us the premises. We felt very comfortable in Peter's apartment from the beginning. The apartment is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything. For our bike tours, the apartment was a very good starting point. We are happy to recommend the apartment.

If you want to know something new about the house and the amenities, then we can't add anything to the fantastic description and the many guest comments. A beautiful, cute Frisian cottage. But what we can tell you is that we have never and nowhere experienced such great host qualities as those of Gaby and Peter. Something heartfelt, whether via text messages or live on the phone. As if you've known each other for a long time. In addition, there is the almost limitless trust in the guests. Experienceable through: Everything is open, everything is filled, everything is yours to use. We give 10 out of 10 points!!! :-) Maren and Ludger

What a fantastic place! We enjoyed the view, the many animals that jump around in front of you, the Koekkoek. And the beautiful beach so close. The cottage is well organized and very clean and complete and the contact with Nicolas was very pleasant. Proactive and clear and fast. We prefer to come back at least every year.

We had a nice time on Ameland. The beautiful, clean upstairs apartment of Marjolein is a few minutes walk from the center of Nes. A good base for hiking and biking.

Ina and Peter were very good hosts. We found a very clean, quiet and very well-equipped apartment. There was also a small welcome gift. In addition to the excellent beds (including huge duvets!), we particularly liked the location of the apartment. Both to the sandy beach (about 25 min.) and to the dike (about 15 min.) the paths were very short. We will be happy to come back and thank you for this very pleasant stay.

Sita's place was perfect for my two night stay in Dukkum. Perfect location and lock box for easy and flexible check-in. Sita was a wonderful host and left a nice welcome gift. Definitely will stay here again when I am back in the area.

The place met the fullest satisfaction and was very clean. Jurjen and Ytsje were always very quickly accessible and were also able to quickly help us on site on request. We felt very comfortable and can only recommend the accommodation.

Had a very nice stay at Thereza's on Ameland. Beautiful quiet location, with the village of ballum (and the rest of Ameland) on walking/cycling. The house was perfect! Everything was super clean and new. Also in the kitchen, all necessities were ample (e.g. 3 different coffee makers), very nice.

We had a very nice weekend at Sven's apartment. We traveled with 2 small children, they also had a good time in the apartment. Because everything was so clean, they could play wonderfully on the floor.

Beautiful apartment, overlooking the dunes and close to the sea and shops. Enjoyed it, experienced all kinds of weather, sun, a lot of wind, rain, etc. Enjoyed the fresh air.

The place was/is very lovingly decorated. The surrounding area as well! It is a very functional place to stay and my personal taste is small and cozy. Yfke was present and accommodating when needed. She just has a knack for creating a nice and friendly atmosphere. All in all, recommended if you want to treat yourself.

Stay is in a good location to the city center of Leeuwarden. Museums, restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Well cared for stay. Good communication. Nice detail: the photo wall with what the street used to look like. Tip: the Miniature People hiking trail!

There were two of us for 4 nights in the accommodation, which belongs to a larger complex. Communication with the owner was straightforward and friendly. Everything necessary was available on site, coffee, tea, etc. was ready for the first day. Thank you! We were able to rent bikes directly in the building and explore the area. All in all, our vacation was very relaxing. We liked the place and Ameland very much!

Renske's home is nestled in the last village of the island, and a moment's walk into the dunes. So it was perfect for us who were searching for peace, quiet, and nature. The kitchen was spacious with great amenities, and the bedrooms were soo cozy! It was a bit challenging to find her home. It's amidst several other homes/doors. There was no sign, whether with a name or number, on an outside wall like other cottages/doors did. So we asked neighbours who were out and about if they could help us find the correct cottage, which we did. Renske was super supportive with my questions with prompt responses, I really appreciated her warmth. Thank you for having us Renske!

Wonderful and nice central place to explore Schier. In the middle of the village, near the bus, restaurants, supermarket and cozy terraces. Cozily furnished and nice terrace at the front where you can watch the world pass a bit. Also very nice to be able to use the two basic but good quality bicycles. Adjustable saddle without tools in height. Recommended!

we enjoyed this place. there was enough space for 2 families, the play area inside and the horses in the yard, made it complete.

Great place to stay. Was easy to find. Fenna let us check in when suited us and met us at the apartment. Gave us a quick tour and explained the best places where we could eat out in the area. The flat was warm and cosy with plenty of kitchen ware.
