House vacation rentals in Almyrida

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Philia. A lovely peaceful private house in the heart of the beautiful village of Gavalohori. Wonderful facilities, nice shady decks with great views of the White Mountains. The pool is amazing - you share it with the downstairs apartment, but it is super private. The local tavernas are amazing, and a nice little bakery and a couple of small convenience stores. Walking around Gavalohori is just beautiful. Angelos met us on arrival, shared his mother's home made spinach pies and of course, raki. The house was wonderfully ventilated with insect screens on all the windows - we didn't need to use the AC at all. If you are looking to escape the touristy towns, a stay at at Villa Philia in beautiful Gavalohori is a must.

We were a party of five, my wife and I and 3 30 year olds, our two twins and a son-in-law. We all couldn't say enough good things about this home: the view has to be one of the best on the whole island, relaxing, extremely private and immediately felt right at home. Starting and ending each day with that view, I didn't need anything else, but there is as much to do as you want. For example, just 6 minutes down the hill, you have the great little town of Platka with a few delicious local restaurants, market and a nice sports bar if you want a cocktail...like me. Another 10 minutes down the hill you come to Alymrida, the small coastal city that has nearly a dozen varied restaurants right on the water. 40 minutes away is the charming city of Chania, the jewel of Crete. This home is centrally located, 20+ minutes from the highway to go anywhere you wish to go...but keep in mind your leaving this view behind. I hope you enjoy it half as much as we did.

Ons verblijf was werkelijk fantastisch. de woning en vooral de tuin was nog mooier als op de foto's. Alles was ontzettend netjes en de woning is van alle gemakken voorzien. We kregen goede tips van onze host voor restaurants in de buurt en de locatie van de woning was voor ons echt een pluspunt. Er zijn genoeg leuke restaurants in de buurt en supermarkten en je kunt makkelijk naar locaties zoals Bálos, Kournas lake, Chania of de botanische tuinen. Maar als je dan terugkomt bij de villa heb je een oase aan rust. Ik ben al op meerdere plekken geweest in Kreta, maar qua ligging is dit absoluut mijn favoriet! Wij zullen zeker weer terug komen!

I recently stayed at this beautiful villa in Greece, and it exceeded all my expectations! The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the bedrooms were cozy and inviting. Hallo, die Unterkunft war sehr schön und wie beschrieben. Die Küche modern ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht, es gibt einen riesigen Kühlschrank. Die Lage der Villa ist auf dem Berg, man hat einen schönen Ausblick in die Bucht und auf die Berge, dennoch ist man zu Fuß auch schnell im Ort. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern lief reibungslos, sie sind immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend gewesen. Es gab ein Problem mit dem Wasser im Haus, bei dem uns sofort geholfen wurde. Den Privatstrand haben wir auch mehrfach besucht, der Strand ist steinig, aber dennoch sehr schön, man hat dort seine Ruhe und es gibt schöne Wellen. Alles in allem hatten wir eine sehr schöne Zeit auf der Insel und haben uns im Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich kann diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wer etwas in der Nähe von Chania sucht, ist hier genau richtig :)

Mogę się zgodzić z każdą wcześniejszą recenzją. Bardzo wygodny dom w spokojnej okolicy z pięknym widokiem na zatokę. Bardzo czysto, świetny basen. Wszystko zgodnie z opisem. Dobre wskazówki dojazdu i zameldowania. Mieliśmy idealny pobyt. Szczerze polecam!

Villa anasa exceeded expectations. The pictures don't do it justice, the attention to detail in the interior is impressive. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend. Gorgios was a gracious host and helpful in every way possible.

Alloggio stupendo, esattamente come in foto. Si trova a circa 6/7 minuti di auto dal centro di Gavalohori. Per raggiungerlo occorre percorrere una stradina piuttosto sterrata: ma la vista, una volta arrivati in cima, ripaga. La posizione è davvero tranquilla, l’unico rumore che si sente è quello delle pecore al pascolo (comunque molto piacevole!) La piscina è del tipo Infinity pool, affacciandosi sul mare, che si vede in lontananza. Meraviglioso. Nel complesso super consigliato, occorre solo seguire bene le indicazioni per raggiungerlo (utilizzate la georeferenziazione indicata!).

Tolle Gastgeber, sehr zuvorkommend & hilfsbereit. Die Familie kann man nur ins Herz schließen ❤️. Danke auch für den Osterkorb mit dem leckeren Gepäck und den Eiern. Und nicht zu vergessen, das selbstgemachte, kaltgepresste Olivenöl 😋 und viele liebevolle Details zum Empfang. Das wunderschöne und liebevoll eingerichtete Appartement mit großzügiger Terrasse hat unsere Erwartungen als Vielreisende voll erfüllt 👍. Besten Dank für die schöne Zeit auf Kreta.+

Geweldige accomodatie, fantastisch verzorgde woning ook halverwege de week extra linnengoed, handdoeken, en vloeren gepoetst. Goed uitgangspunt voor uitstapjes. Prachtig prive kapelletje met bijpassend verhaal. Zeer vriendelijke goed bereikbare host, die af en toe kwam kijken of alles in orde was, leuke gesprekken. Zwembad en bijbehorende privacy was top! In e woning was alles aanwezig wat nodig was.

We had a lovely time at Sotiris and Katherina's house. The house is comfortable and in great shape and and Sotiris and Katherina are excellent and super friendly hosts. They were flexible with check in, highly communicative and super generous with leaving us excellent food, all self-made: wine, olive oil, pastries, and what not. The surroundings are quiet and pleasant, there is a beautiful view from the balcony, and the village has good tavernas and a nice playground for kids.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in dem kleinen süßen Haus! Es war alles perfekt und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir hatten das Glück Michaelis kennenzulernen und er ist so nett und gastfreundlich. Vielen lieben Dank Michaelis, wir kommen sehr gern wieder.♥️

Super séjour à Marathi ! Logement très bien placé, bien équipé et propre. Literie de qualité. Des hôtes très prévenants et d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle. Je recommande +++

We had a wonderful stay in Aptera. The location was perfect; close to Chania and an easy drive to other locations in western Crete but still rural, quiet, and private. There's an incredible view of the mountains right out of the front door. Mihalis was really friendly and gave us many local recommendations. We highly recommend a stay here!

Everything about this place is perfect. It is clean and very comfortable. I have a hard time with stairs so the futon sleeper and downstairs bathroom were very convenient. It is a very short walk to everything you might want to do, including getting the bus to Chania. I look forward to booking here again.

The villa is lovely and has everything you need for a holiday. Clean and well maintained. There was extra cleaning during the week. Great view of the sea and the mountains. The cars passing on the main road, which is 100m below the villa, create a slight noise, but it is not unbearable. Maria is a great host and despite the late evening time of arrival she was waiting for us with a smile. She took care of us all the time and gave us valuable advice. There was a problem with the dishwasher, which was fixed the next day as soon as I informed Maria. We had a great week and would come back again.

We had such a great stay! We were so close to the water but also close to markets and restaurants. Dimitri was incredibly helpful and was there when we checked in and when we checked out, despite the fact that we got in quite late. Would highly recommend!

From the minute we walked in the door until the last second we were there, Maria’s place impressed us. The views are stunning!! Every room has a balcony with a view. The view from the kitchen window above the sink and the outdoor sitting area next to the kitchen was magnificent. Everything was pristine, from the kitchen to the bedrooms to the outdoor areas. The bedrooms have double doors with pullout screens and roll down security/weather shutters. Thami Villa really was everything we hoped it would be and Maria was always responsive, helpful and friendly. We can’t wait to return!!!

Filipas House was a nice place to stay. The terrace upstairs was particularly great. Douliana was a charming village, with lots to see nearby. Myrtos was very responsive.

Wir waren zwei Wochen in der Villa Kapare. Das Haus liegt traumhaft auf einem Berg mit Blick auf das Mittelmeer. Insbesondere der Blick von der riesigen Terrasse ist positiv zu erwähnen, denn dieser ist tatsächlich unglaublich schön. Außerdem war das Haus total sauber und die Umgebung war sehr ruhig. Nett war es außerdem, dass bereits eine Grundausstattung im Kühlschrank vorhanden war. Von Mina wurden wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und haben nette Tipps und Ideen für Unternehmungen erhalten. Das Dorf hat einen kleinen Supermarkt um die Ecke, eine kleines Café und eine Taverne in der Nähe (alles maximal 3 Minuten zu Fuß). Der Sandstrand von Almyrida ist maximal 10 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt.

Nasz pobyt był bardzo udany. Gospodarze byli bardzo pomocni i komunikatywni. Do lokalu nie mamy większych zastrzeżeń. Jedyny poważniejszy zarzut mamy do okładkowego zdjęcia z widokiem na zatokę, które zostało poprawione komputerowo. Zostały z niego wycięte słupy energetyczne oi plątanina kabli, które psują widok. Boli to tym bardziej że właśnie to zdjęcie często decyduje o wyborze tego miejsca. Tak było w naszym przypadku.

Wir waren als Familie in dieser Unterkunft, es ist sogar noch schöner wie auf den Bildern! Man hat wirklich super Privatsphäre, die Straße ist ruhig! Das haus war super sauber es war an alles gedacht ! Eleni war super hilfreich bei allem , wir hatten sogar Obst Kekse als Willkommensgeschenk:-) Man hat sich super wohl gefühlt , was ich auch besonders gut fand , das schon Kaffee Putzmittel Salz Zucker und andere Sachen schon im haus waren so das man angenehm den Urlaub auch starten konnte! Das haben wir bei den anderen Villen bisher nicht gehabt ! Die Aussicht ist Mega, wir werden aufjedemfall wieder kommen

This was a family vacation for us. We had an opportunity to stay for the entire month of April. How lucky is that. Once we got to the village my GPS couldn’t find the property and Antonis met us and took us to the property. The home was as described. It was very nice and perfect size. The beds were so comfortable I slept like a baby. The primary bedroom and bath are a good size. Both additional bedrooms are a good size as well. The outside has a nice table that seats 6 and 4 lounge chairs. I would recommend this home and if I come back to this village I would rent it again.

House is utterly charming and authentically Greek village style atmosphere. Private entry courtyard is lovely with garden. Felt very at home and cozy with everything I needed. And so close to town! Dimitrios was very helpful. Even had yoga mat!
