Surrounded by trees, it is a special time to indulge in thoughts and reading. For those who want to be active, we recommend hiking trails such as Mt. Koasama and Mt. Asama. If you extend your trip to the Karuizawa area, you can also stop by a variety of restaurants and experience the unique culture that has been cultivated there. Enjoy a relaxing stay in the tranquil Kita-Karuizawa area.

It is a calm space with an old house motif. The living room has a large sunken kotatsu style Irori fireplace where you can enjoy meals and drinks. There is also a 4-seat counter bar. Nozawa Onsen Ski Area, Shiga Kogen, Madarao Kogen Ski Area, and Tohachi Onsen Ski Area are all nearby, making it the perfect base for winter sports. In the green season, there are eight golf courses within an hour, including the Madarao Country Club, and many day-use hot spring facilities. The owner lives on the right side of the entrance and can be contacted at any time, and understands everyday conversational English. In the green season, you can harvest fresh vegetables from our own farm at any time, and enjoy a barbecue in the garden. The garden is also spacious, so you can also enjoy a short walk. Iiyama's specialty is the famous green asparagus, which can be enjoyed from May to July, and there is also a roadside station nearby where you can enjoy fresh vegetables and delicious buckwheat.

There is a smoking table in the garden. There are no restaurants nearby because it is far from the city. Please have dinner before you arrive or bring your food. Gorgeous hiking routes in Shiga Kogen are 30 minutes drive beyond, which Suzie will suggest the best route for you. 30 mins walkaway to Snow mokey park, 10 mins away to best Onsen(Waku Waku no yu).

“Maison d’hotes KIRISI MIZU”, is a Irimoya style (traditional Japanese house, similar to Temple) that has been beautifully restored from traditional materials and passed down from my grate-grand parents generation. The entire house is done in a classic style as used to be, except for a newly built kitchen, toilet and bathroom that provide all the necessities of modern life.
