Welcome to Whispering Willows, a luxury attic space apartment that you will instantly fall in love with. The apartment is quite stunning. There are so many things for you to see in this area so come and explore... I feel it is important to get away from the daily grind to 're-kindle' why you got together in the first place! We have plans on other quirky spaces to stay in the future, so watch this space... We hope to see you soon... Deborah & Steve
“We loved Deb & Steve’s place. As Londoners, we couldn’t have wished for more of a welcome escape from city life. It’s quiet, rural, dark (if you’re after low light pollution) and well located for walks, English vineyards and good pubs! The place itself is cosy, nicely furnished and with a decent-sized kitchen if you’re up for self-catering. Can’t comment on the hot tub, as it was January and we chickened out of going in! They are right about transport - you’re definitely better off with a car but we did manage to get to Appledore and back a couple of times (only 20 mins stroll, mostly with pavement) and to the Ferry Inn, even at night on foot. Deb & Steve do provide bikes if you’re up for a country lane cycle. Can recommend the Black Lion pub in Appledore and Miss Mollets Tea Room. The former for fish pie or any seafood really, and the latter for excellent tea, cakes and sandwiches. If they have the sticky toffee date cake on the menu, order it without hesitation. Deb & Steve are excellent hosts, very welcoming, with great comms and plenty of local tips. And even picked us up for the station!”
The family suite can be available as either a bedroom with king size bed, dressing room & en-suite shower room at £85p.n, or taken with an additional twin bedroom to make it a superb family suite at £135p.n. Please note guests staying in the twin room have to access the shower room via the interconnecting door to the other bedroom. Please get in touch if you have children under 10; unfortunately we can not take families with young children as the noise can often be heard in the guest room below.
“Lesley´s place is delightful! The rooms are much bigger than in the photos and they are extremely comfortable. We loved the garden views with the wind mill and really enjoyed the continental breakfast. Communication was very easy and the Lesley was really helpful. We would absolutely come back and recommend staying at her beautiful place!”
This is a small timber cabin within a rural setting. It comprises one room with a double bed, a separate toilet and shower room, and a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, kettle and mini-fridge. Generous continental breakfast ingredients are included . There is a secluded decking area, with open views. Due to the coronavirus we have had to close at present. I will keep this message updated when more information becomes available . I look forward to welcoming guests again as soon as possible.
“Thank you! This hut was a lovely little retreat to recharge our batteries with the fresh country air. We felt so comfortable and relaxed we could just sit in bed and read all day and let the time pass by. We did pop out for a little walk and there are lots of routes nearby but you need a good map and sense of direction as they're not well used. The hut is lovely, very warm, super warm and comfortable bed (want that bed at home) and the food supplied is amazing. Really spoilt for choice. Thank you so much for stocking up for us. We really loved being in the hut during the wind and the rain, felt really relaxed and comforting hearing the rain on the windows. Enzo is a very friendly and lovable dog with alot of energy who you'll also see around the farm, our dog liquorice who is a bit older got on fine with him.”
