Superb detached house, in quiet location with a cosy feel despite being very large. Amazing views and spacious gardens ideal for adventurous kids. We had a lovely time here with extended family and the hosts have thoughtfully included everything needed for an easy home from home feel. Would highly recommended staying here.

Absolutely loved my stay; I’ve been coming to the Lakes for over 20 years and this place is the ultimate cosy retreat, just what you want to come back to after a long day out walking. The property has everything you need and is very dog friendly; I always come armed with blankets and towels but it makes it so much easier not having to worry about carpets and the coat stand came in very handy for drying things. The location is great; I arrived much later than planned in the dark and found it no problem. It feels very peaceful and private but Windermere high street is within walking distance. I will definitely be back again, thank you for a great stay!

We had a great few days staying at The Old Wash House - really well appointed and furnished to a high standard, with lots of quirky features. Extremely comfy bed and lovely hot shower. The hosts were very attentive and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place.

parking for 2 cars was perfect. location was great and so quiet and yet in the centre of everything.

The venue is stunning, the photos do not do it justice! Everyone has everything the need in each room with their own en suite and the grandness of the building is something else! You have so much space, the large garden area wraps around back and side and is beautiful with stunning views! Everything you could need in the kitchen and welcome bottle very kindly provided by our hosts! Plenty of entertainment and eating areas! When leaving one of our cars broke down and they were very understanding and accommodating! Perfect location, made our stay extra special!

Excellent apartment, spacious, well equipped, comfortable and peaceful. Car parking great, easy access & adjoining unit. Clitheroe was a surprise, a pleasant surprise - easy walking, great food shops and access to some great countryside drives. Tina’s recommendations on foodie spots and city high points were excellent. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely ground floor flat in an excellent location, it is very well equipped with a lot of nice features and has everything you could possibly need. It is also really nice to arrive to find coffee, tea, milk, etc when you get off the bus after travelling. There is even a little garden area to sit in or hang things out to dry, which is a big plus. Would recommend. It is fantastic for one person or couple.

Robin is an exceptional host with a just as exceptional home. We ended up arriving later than anticipated at the dead of night, and also had some car issues (which he ended up rescuing us!) and he went beyond what a host would ever be expected to do. As well as providing helpful pointers on where to go & what to do. The place itself is absolutely beautiful, exactly like the photos. The log burner really makes the space for when you get home late and just want to relax and unwind. I can’t recommend this place enough, for the actual space and for what you get with Robin as a host who clearly cares deeply about his BnB and making guests feel welcome. Thanks and looking forward to coming again soon!!

Enjoyed our stay at Kate's place for a second visit. Has all the amenities we needed and we can feel very relaxed there. Kate was very helpful with our booking. She dealt very promptly with one minor maintenance issue. She's a thoughtful host and there were fresh flowers, milk and biscuits to welcome us. We enjoyed chatting to Kate. First of all, I am very grateful to harword for helping me deliver the things we left in the bedroom in time, so that we didn't leave any regrets before leaving UK . Harword's house is our most most love house, and the environment is definitely many times better than the photos. There are two rooms, a big bed room, a double bed, a big kitchen and living room. The kitchen is well equipped and very clean. We bought food and cooked by ourselves and had a very pleasant two days. Malt Kiln is about 40 minutes to an hour away from Wendell Lake. Because the village path is very narrow, we drive slowly, but the scenery is beautiful and the cattle and sheep flock together, which is a visual enjoyment. highly recommended here. Janet's cake is very delicious, thank you also.

This home is delightful for anyone who needs a short break in beautiful peaceful country side. It has everything required, however a car is helpful. The shop at the petrol station opposite the property opens all the time for essentials. The home was spotless and designed to give you as much space as possible.

Church Street was a lovely place to stay, good layout, comfy furniture, plenty of room and all very clean. Location was good for us, 10 mins walk into the centre of Keswick or the lake. A great base for exploring this beautiful part of the country.

The apartment was clean, easy to access and in the middle of Ambleside, close to everything the town has to offer. Parking was close by. We had one question/request to which George responded in the most positive manner on the same day. Beautiful town. Good People. Good spot. Good value.

Just back from three nights and we had such a wonderful time. The property is in a great location with it being walking distance to bowness but also secluded. Kitchen amenities all great, excellent spec bathroom and very clean all round. We had a couple of questions which were answered very quickly. Highly recommend and we will be booking again.

Such a lovely place, had a nice girly weekend for my hen do with my bridesmaids and maid of honour and the hosts were really sweet. They were happy to co-ordinate with my maid of honour so the whole thing was a really nice surprise and it was overall really private and peaceful with such stunning views. Would highly recommend and think we will definitely be booking again 🤍

With a 15 minute drive into Lancaster and the Forest of Bowland on the doorstep. The Barn was set in an ideal location. It was what my wife and I needed. Some quiet time and fabulous walks in the countryside.

We had a great stay. The house was in a beautiful location, right on the estuary. Plenty of beach for walking. Beds were comfy and ample linen and towels were provided plus a great welcome hamper. The games room provided hours of entertainment and the hot tub was lovely for relaxing in after a busy day. The nearby rock park/quarry was a really interesting day out. We also enjoyed a meal out at the King William IV in Kirksanton. Jenny was a great host and was extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Really brilliant place. Lovely house and great amenities. Really well stocked (unusual to have such good wine glasses!!). Well def use again!
