Great host and place

Luke is a fabulous host! Not only is the cottage idyllic, peaceful and charming, but Luke left us some goodies for our arrival. These included a bottle of fizz, some delicious bread and eggs from the chickens he keeps on his small holding. There was loads of good recommendations for walks and activities within the cottage and Luke trod a wonderful balance between giving us our space and being there to offer advice and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the countryside!

We had an amazing weeks stay at the barn. Steve and Tessa were such amazing host, the barn is immaculate, clean, comfortable and very welcoming. They both went above to ensure that we were comfortable, providing extra dog towels, Steve instructions on how to find the barn, checking that we were warm enough and had everything we need. The barn is surrounded by beautiful tranquil forest and miles of walking routes. Thank you so much for having us .

Thank you so much for an amazing stay. The barn was beautiful and spacious and perfect for socialising with friends or family. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, our only gripe was that we wish we had booked longer!!

Great communications from the host with some suggestions for walks/ days out and also responsive to queries. The accommodation itself is lovely and as per the photos. The real gem is the lovely waterfront view, especially enjoyed in the late afternoon sunshine. We liked Calstock and enjoyed the walk around the wetlands and to Cotehele and back and the mobile Pizza on Wednesday evenings is to be recommended. The Calstock ferry had just restarted and this would also be a nice way to head up to Cotehele and back once the schedule is fully established. Provisions need to be brought in from outside the village though, we found the Asda Express near Gunnislake pretty good for that.

Our family of four had a lovely stay at Snowdrop Cottage. The property was comfortable and had everything we needed for a short break. We enjoyed the views, whether it was the charming village life at the front with its beautiful cottage gardens or the peaceful church and rolling hills at the back. Innana was quick to respond if we needed anything, and it was lovely to receive her kind message of appreciation after our stay. The cottage is in the heart of the village, easy to find, and has the added bonus of off-street parking. It’s full of character, with lovely features throughout.

Fabulous place with all the amenities for us and 3 kids. If anything the photos don’t do justice to how enjoyable and convenient the place is with sheep in field opposite, 30 seconds to great pub and five mins walk to the moors. John was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to make our stay perfect. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to explore this part of Devon.

The Old Sunday School is incredible. Property: 5* in every way, super clean, lush decor, smells like a spa! parking is right outside. the patio and view are stunning. bathrooms, shower all amazing. comfy bed, lots of storage space. Hosts: Jay and Lisa are lovely, they are next door but not imposing at all. super helpful and knowledgeable, we enjoyed chatting to them. Leonard is obviously the most important one and he is adorable! Area: the field below the patio was superb for our 2 black labradors, just a short walk away is a woodland walk, just magical in the early morning sunshine. short drive are some lovely country parks and places to eat. the super generous welcome gifts were very much enjoyed. we can't wait to book a return visit.

The apartment was 5 stars all the way. Beautiful location, sophisticated decor, hi tech appliances and stunning views. Chris and Tanya were helpful and responsive, it was an exceptionally enjoyable stay

This is a fantastic accommodation. Our rooms were very comfortable and clean. My little kids really enjoyed there .Would highly recommend this place.Carlose is cool and polite.He was very helful and always available when needed.I would say,this is the place with all facilities like TV,wifi,cooking essentials and so on.Would stay here again.

What a beautiful little place and a fabulous location to stopover for a couple of nights. We absolutely loved Josie’s style at The Apiary and it was perfectly clean and comfortable for us and our little dog. Wandering through the grounds of Southcombe House and its pretty wildflower meadows was just delightful. An idyllic spot in wonderful location.

We had a lovely stay in Pilton - comfortable, clean and as described. Very quiet and lovely soft towels! Easy parking outside, and great access to the coast.

we spent two weeks at Pippa's place. it was everything that we were told and more. Pippa, Matt and the children were very welcoming and friendly. The Annexe is very spacious clean and comfortable with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would happily stay there again in the future and would absolutely recommend it to friends and family

What a fabulous stay! We had a great time, the place was a charming and cottagey feel place set in beautiful location. The apartment well stocked, they provided everything from cleaning supplies to every conceivable food item you require for breakfast including fresh chicken eggs - straight from the farm. The hosts were wonderful and welcoming and communicated efficiently and I was kept up to date. Location is down narrow lanes, in the beautiful countryside of Devon - it was my first time but my friend is a confident driver, we did get lost, as we were admiring the views and not paying attention to the instructions but the instructions and pictures the host provided were very clear. There are few animals at the location, you just have to go see for yourself! Loved every minute, thank you so much - definitely see you next year!

We really enjoyed our stay at this listing. Gavin was very quick to respond to messages and the location was peaceful. No issues with parking and the home had everything we needed. The attention to detail was what really elevated the experience and made this stay one of our favorites. Thank you for having us and we look forward to being back soon.

We had a perfect weekend at Phil and Larraine’s. The apartment was clean, spacious, well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The outside seating area and garden was lovely. Our hosts were always available if required but also respectful to our privacy. We felt like the place was ours and settled in from minute one. Thank you Phil & Larraine . Just one more thing - those views WOW!

I have stayed in B & Bs and hotels on my previous visits but this gave me more flexibility. Sarah was a great host and I had everything I needed for my stay. Will definitely return soon! Thanks for providing such good accommodation.

We've stayed with Di a few times and intend to do so again. It is so convenient- only a few minutes from the High Street and all the shops, restaurants etc. It is also very quiet and peaceful at night, unlike so other town-centre locations! It is always extremely clean and we feel very comfortable here. Thanks Di!

Great garden flat in the center of Ashburton. Peaceful and secluded. Very comfortable king size bed and good quality linen. Bathroom with bath and shower over bath, small but very clean and neat. Clean well equipped kitchen. Fab lounge with comfy sofa. Courtyard garden is lovely! The only thing to possibly improve is to have a blackout blind to the bedroom window. Ashburton is lovely with some great pubs restaurants and cafes and great easy access to Dartmoor. Thanks Helen! Loved our stay x

A beautiful apartment in the most perfect location for cycling the Devon Coast to Coast. Julie and John were great hosts, and have created a gem in Okehampton. The breakfast that was provided (which is a huge bonus in the first place!) was more than we could have expected, and perfect as we were on our bikes. Really comfy bed and amazing to have the bike store with pump/bike stand if you need to do any maintenance. They’ve thought of everything and we hope to stay again to be able to explore Dartmoor in sunnier times. It was still beautiful in torrential rain. Highly recommend :-) thanks Julie and John :-)

It’s a great flat in a great location. Slight hiccup with hot water but Dean sorted promptly. Would recommend.
