Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Waterland

Beautiful family home and welcoming hosts-highly recommend for families! Hosts were so helpful in recommending nearby restaurants, offering tips for the transit system etc. I wish we had spent more time enjoying their home during this trip to visit Amsterdam as the home is a gem-the outdoor spaces are lovely. The movie projector screen and large collection of movies was so fun to use. The home is in an ideal location to use as a home base to access nearby Amsterdam or the even closer and very charming town of Zaanse Schans.

We were traveling by bicycle and used Ben and Inge's accommodation for 3 nights. On the one hand, the proximity of Amsterdam (with a bus stop nearby and the train from Weesp... totally easy!) and the really beautiful small towns of Weesp, Muiden and Naarden. Inge brought us an incredibly great breakfast every morning on request. She is a great, very friendly host. Thank you so much for this great start to the day. We felt very comfortable with Ben and Inge and appreciated their hospitality very much. The small independent apartment is very quiet, very clean and cozy (as in the photos). Ana Mer's home was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, cozy, and well-maintained the house was. Every detail matched the description perfectly, and it even exceeded our expectations. The thoughtful touches throughout the home made it feel like we were staying in our own home away from home. The space was not only comfortable but also beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Ana was an excellent host—clear with communication, helpful, and kind, ensuring our stay was seamless. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the surrounding area while still offering a peaceful retreat to return to at the end of the day. We felt comfortable in the accommodation, which was tidy and fully equipped. The location is good and we used public transport, tram number 19, if you are a group of up to 5 people you can buy a daily group ticket for 26 euros via the app, which paid off for us because otherwise it is about 9 euros for a single daily ticket. There is also a shopping mall and a train station near the accommodation. We felt safe in this neighborhood.

Very nice terraced house with great comfort on 3 levels. Close to a train station that allows access to the center of Amsterdam in 25 minutes.

Birgit and her home are so wonderful! Birgit was so helpful showing us around the home and so gracious when our train was cancelled and we needed to stay another night. The home is clean and beautiful. We had plenty of space and loved having a quiet space after a day in a busy city. We hope to stay here again!

A beautiful home immersed in nature and surrounded with friendly animals. We had a very peaceful stay and we felt very much at home. We will return!

Thomas is really a great host, very accommodating and helpful! We had a great stay and felt completely comfortable. There were four of us who could have stayed there. The beds were comfortable and we would check back in anytime!

I can't recommend Martijn and Lucy's place enough. The apartment itself was extremely well furnished and thought out, including a well stocked kitchen, decent shower and plenty of towels provided. The bed and sofa bed were both very comfortable. There are several flights of stairs to reach the apartment at the top floor of the building, but these are well worth it for the benefit of a roof terrace. The location is great, with plenty of food options within a few mins walk (it's worth checking out the Foodhallen!) and an outdoor market on the street below. A tram line that can take you towards the central station is only a couple of mins away or it's an enjoyable walk to anywhere in Amsterdam. We had a great stay, thanks so much!

Menke’s place is in the perfect location - just outside the main tourist area so it is authentic, yet still close to everything. It was a wonderful stay and we’ll definitely come back when we are in Amsterdam next. Menke is also very easy to work with and accommodating. Easy 5 stars all around.

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment has a modern a spacious kitchen and it was a pleasure to have our morning coffee there. There's a cozy little yard where you can hang out and a stylish newly renovated bathroom. The hosts were very helpful, friendly and communicative. Definitely the nicest airbnb we've ever been to in Amsterdam!

I enjoyed my stay in Muiderberg. I needed a convenient place to stay for one night in between moving house and this apartment was the perfect solution. The host was very flexible with the check-in time and even let me park a large van in her driveway. The accommodation itself was spacious, clean and had a nice atmosphere. It's actually much nicer than the photos used on Airbnb. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a quieter place to stay nearby Amsterdam or to someone who wants some days away in a cute dutch town.

Excellent location! Very nice neighborhood, walkable everywhere, supermarkets close by, restaurants nearby...Jurgen was very proactive, responsive and very flexible.

Tijmen was an excellent host. The apartment is a bit tricky to find, and the stairs are very steep and difficult with luggage. The location is wonderful and the flat is superb. Comfy beds, plenty of amenities and lounging area, with phenomenal natural lighting throughout.

A comfortable and beautiful flat in a peerless location. Only problem is that you won't want to leave to explore Amsterdam as sitting at the window in the flat is so beguiling.

The cottage was beautiful, very peaceful with views of sheep and the hosts happy chickens walking about. We were able to get public transport into the centre of Amsterdam fairly easily, the bus stop is super close by and they come regularly. Having two bathrooms was great as there were 5 of us! The honesty box was lovely and very helpful for when we first arrived, this contained cold drinks, snacks and honey from their own bees. Thanks for having us! 🥰

We had a wonderful stay at Adva’s place! The house is beautifully tucked away in nature and perfect for a peaceful getaway. Everything was exactly as described — clean, well-equipped, and very dog-friendly, which we really appreciated. The self check-in was smooth and Adva’s instructions were super clear. We also loved the forest walks right outside the door. Highly recommended for anyone looking to disconnect and relax.

I have stayed at several Airbnbs in the past few years and had wonderful experiences with each. This place has been the best place I have stayed. The host Maaike, is absolutely wonderful. Easy to communicate with, helpful, friendly and kind. The place itself is exactly as advertised. A great hideaway not far from several great destinations in the Netherlands. Quiet, comfortable, and private. When I come back to the Netherlands again, I will absolutely stay here again.

We were completely satisfied with our stay at Mandy & Remko's. The two were always very friendly and helpful - just great hosts. The bikes are also a great thing, except the weather is not good then better via taxi/ Uber. All in all, the accommodation absolutely met our expectations, pleasant location a little outside, an absolutely heavenly bed, and a clean kitchen as well as a clean bathroom. That's all you can ask for. The only improvement that can be made - a second towel rack in the bathroom to hang the small towels to dry. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back. This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Alkmaar! It is close enough to enjoy all that the city has to offer, yet it also provides a beautiful, peaceful escape from the business and crowds. Han and Kelly were great hosts, providing helpful recommendations and even rides from the train station and into Alkmaar. We also enjoyed hanging out with the dog, cat and chickens! We would definitely stay here again.

This garden hideaway was a perfect place to unwind and take walks to magical places nearby. After several days in various cities I was ready for a break. A nearby island with a beach can reach by a pedestrian bridge just past the little grocery store. An old forest preserve with long allees of towering trees leading to a manor house and gardens can be reached just up the road in the other direction. Other reviews mentioned the occasional sound of planes which I barely registered. The sounds of the city were replace by the sound of wind in the trees and of a neighborhood rooster in the morning which I liked. Marjolein and Anton were a sheer delignt. Take a break and stay here for a few days.

We had a wonderful week at the Duinstudio. Particularly noteworthy is the equipment, everything is available, from kitchen accessories to the equipment in the bathroom with plenty of towels, bath mat, etc. A warm welcome from Annelies, who was always there to help. We really enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden after a bike ride or a hike. Here, too, everything is well prepared, nice seating areas, charcoal for the grill, wood for the garden fireplace. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back!

We were in Rose's amazing cottage for our first wedding anniversary for a few days. Rose had made a rose and a card very thoughtful for us, which immediately made for a nice welcome! We had wonderful days by the fireplace, enjoyed the area with our dogs and the sunrise from the dike is fantastic!
