Staying at Vicky’s was so amazing. I’d highly recommend!! Vicky is lovely and kind, and was happy to chat, but also happy to give us our own space too. We had a great chat in the evening and got some excellent local recommendations, and even got to play with her adorable cat. Vicky provided us with a delicious breakfast with, with homemade jams and homemade ginger beer too! We’re already planning our next trip, and we will be staying with Vicky again!

Our stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of fantastic; the host was incredibly accommodating, and the space was clean and beautifully decorated, making us feel right at home! None of our Airbnb did, but Mia provided the best breakfast, the kids love the freshly made breads!

Andrea is such a kind and friendly host, welcoming us right into her home and making us feel so welcome. The offer of breakfast and games for the young ones along with lovely conversations if you’re up for a chat. Her place was just right for a quick stay in a beautiful safe and quiet area right between the cbd and the mount. Andreas place had two comfy firm beds with electric blankets and plenty of extra blankets for warmth, in a simple but clean and clutter free room that locks and is right across from the shared but private and clean bathroom. We had no issues here, great communication including helping with a last minute booking and early check in. Such great value we would happily stay here again. Thanks for having us 🙂

We had an amazing stay, was a beautiful home and property. Our 1 year old loved the animals, and the breakfast was great! Colleen and Clive were so lovely, and so accommodating with our daughter, offering her toys to play with and everything we’d need to feel right at home.

Great stay with Jane and Gary. They were eager to help us feel at home. Rooms were clean and great quality. We had full use of their kitchen if needed. They were very attentive. Highly recommend!

We felt so welcome and comfortable in Lyn and Andrew's beautiful home. They bedroom and bathroom were spacious and beautifully appointed. There was a lovely continental breakfast provided should we have needed it - unfortunately our schedule didn't allow us time to stay and enjoy it. Lyn and Andrew were so accommodating of our particular needs, making it the perfect location for our event in Cambridge. Thank you both so much!

Gavin and Petra were extremely welcoming and attentive hosts. They made us feel very comfortable at their home, which is beautiful, clean and tidy. The home grown fresh fruit, freshly brewed coffee and homemade museli for breakfast was delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely house, lovely cats, lovely couple.

Such a lovely wee place, home away from home! Enough space for me and my daughter. Spa was a bonus for those chilly nights and relaxation! Super comfy bed, slept the best I have in ages. Just perfect, the added extras were above and beyond, breakfast, snacks, juice all ready in kitchen area. Made our trip easy and enjoyable. Highly recommended!! Rose and Roger amazing!

Diane is most welcoming, generous and friendly. The room is quiet and comfortable with everything you need plus extras. The bed was very comfy and breakfast is supplied or cooked for you. This is a great place to stay.

We spent four nights in Sleeping Giant and fully enjoyed our stay. The guest room sits in a beautiful garden, the whole property tucked away in a forest upon a hill — we loved watching the birds dance around the tangerine and lemon trees in the morning. Kathy and Jono made sure we felt welcomed and had everything we needed. It's a great spot from which to explore nearby beaches and towns, and a lovely place to return to before the sun sets behind the mountains.

Nanette is amazing. She has a lovely place with everything you need for an overnight stay and more. She was so helpful collecting me from the bus and dropping me to my work location the next morning. Her breakfast was plentiful and beautiful, fresh made bread, yoghurt, muesli plus eggs bacon and sausage. The bed was comfortable. The only negative was the shower pressure was low but it is what it is. I would definitely stay here again next time I’m working in Taupo. Thank you

I love this place; both Gary & Penny's sweeeet home and beautiful Taupo! Though weather wasn't good, warm hospitality made my honeymoon the best of best; Room was clean with dedicated bathroom & bedroom, a wonderfull shared spaces with everything. Surely it's better option to take Gary & Penny's home rather than other hotels nearby Taupo downtown. Wish all the best to Gary & Penny!!😍❤️👍👍👍

This was my first time staying at Karen's home, and I was struck by how clean, comfortable, and warm it felt. Whenever we had a small question, we could easily reach Karen by phone, and she was always there to support us. She clearly puts a lot of heart into running this homestay, bringing a sense of warmth to her guests. This was the first time I truly felt a sense of "home" while staying at a homestay. Thank you to Karen and her family.

Marty & Lou's upstairs apartment is amazing! the furniture, the bed, the linen all incredibly comfortable. The space is so welcoming! so peaceful. An extreemly short walk to the lake's edge and so too the 10k walking trail that circles the lake. A short drive (2km maybe) to the blue lake (more trails, swimming, boating) and so maybe 3km to the worlds best mountain bike and running trails. While the breakfast room doesn't have cooking facilities that didn't worry us - Marty and Lou supplied breakfast and with less than a 9km drive to the nearest cafes and bars and maybe 12km to the CBD to find lunch or dinner we were set! We happily made basic meals thanks to simple cutlery and crockery, a small fridge, toaster and jug. We were able to store our mountain bikes and muddy running gear in the utility room. Marty, Lou and their cats were so friendly. We loved our stay and hope we can stay again.

Steve and Pauline were so accommodating! Pauline met us on arrival and talked us through everything we needed, they both provided recommendations for all the activities we planned on doing during our stay, which were extremely helpful! The best part of our stay was the outdoor hot tub where you could view the stars for miles, it was incredible. Thank you both, we will definitely be back next time we’re in the area! X

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The place was spotless, well-equipped, and had a real home-away-from-home feeling. Absolutely loved this Airbnb, it’s amazing!!! The whole setting was wonderful and different. We loved the uniqueness of this tasteful wee holiday home, not your typical set up so if you’re after something a bit different definitely check this place out! It is quirky yet well planned, colourful and provides everything you could possibly need and more. I stayed with my mum and 1yr old granddaughter and the space met all our needs. It has a great variety of seating areas and different spaces to hang out, we loved this. The caravan was our sleeping space, it was very comfortable, is large and provided the 3 of us with enough space. Jacqueline as lovely and very helpful. Thanks heaps Jacqueline for the chocolates, fruit, milk, butter, juice, jams, breakfast food and everything else!! We loved all of it and will be recommending your Airbnb 😊

Mel was a lovely host, super friendly and communicative. Her place was peaceful, the spa was so nice to use at night as we checked in later, and waking up in the morning to the view of the area and the surroundings were serene. Although the room is small, Mel goes above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need and more. Thanks Mel, we’ll be back again!
