Cabin vacation rentals in Vättern

We enjoyed our stay at Kathy’s converted barn. It is in a very convenient location, just off the main road down a small lane, at the end of which is a petrol station and supermarket. It is only a short stroll into the pretty centre where you can find historical sights of interest, pretty streets , independent shops and a variety of restaurants. Kathy has taken great care in ensuring the barn is comfortable and clean, ensuring her guests have all they will need for their stay. The bed is comfortable and she provides good quality linens and towels. The hot tub was immaculate and a real treat, as was the cava and chocolates that were part of our welcome package. Kathy’s attention to detail makes this accommodation stand apart from others. Thank you Kathy.

Great location, it was so peaceful. It's cozy and we immediately felt right at home. Just the sounds of birds and wind in the trees. We loved the hot tub! on our second day we saw a moose just 3 mins from the cabin. Nox was very responsive and proactive with the communication. Would definitely come back again!

Fantastic accommodation with large social areas as well as inside and outside. Fitted us perfectly which was a family with 13 people. Quiet and pleasantly far from neighbors and traffic, only lovely birds chirping around the corner 🌸 A nice host family.

The gas bottle for the grill was empty, but it was resolved by us going to a gas station and buying one and the host paid for it, so it was okay. Guess it was the guests before us who ran out of gas without notifying the host.

A cozy cottage and a nice, helpful host. A fantastic location, just lace up your shoes and go out and walk in a peaceful forest. A couple of lovely days of cycling and walking. Highly recommend the cabin.

We stayed here for the second time. It is a perfect retreat from the daily life. Beautiful, relaxing, quiet and directly in the nature. Hans-Olov and Gull-Britt are very nice and forthcoming hosts. Looking forward to visiting next year again.

Charming country house, good food was served inside their restaurant in the barn, take the opportunity to eat there when you visit them. The kids could run around and play, our dog was allowed to come along. Good parking. And a cozy jacuzzi by the forest.

Good accommodation with a very nice location and good trails in beautiful nature. Walking distance to restaurant Hestraviken Spa o Restaurang. And if we had been golfers, we would have been even happier as it is walking distance to Isaberg Golf Club. We really recommend this home.

Great little cottage, we could enjoy the evening sun in the garden. The village center with supermarket and restaurants and the lake are within minutes walking distance. We felt very comfortable!

The peaceful lake views and morning birdsong made our stay truly unforgettable. We especially loved exploring the Tiveden national park — the trails were wild and beautiful. Christina was welcoming, responsive, and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. This place is a perfect mix of comfort, nature, and quiet moments. We’re grateful for the memories and already hoping to return!

The room was incredibly cozy and cute and the surrounding area was peaceful and lovely. We had a wonderful time here with our dog.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Relaxing vacation in the middle of Swedish nature – highly recommended! We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. The location is fantastic – in the middle of untouched Swedish nature, surrounded by forests and lakes. Peace, fresh air and pure nature! The separate guest house was perfect for our daughter who was traveling with us – plenty of space and privacy for everyone. A real highlight was the private sauna: ideal for relaxing after long walks through the countryside. We were particularly pleased that dogs are welcome. Our four-legged friend enjoyed the large garden and nature just as much as we did. The house is very lovingly decorated, sparkling clean and superbly equipped – you immediately notice how much heart the host has put into it. The contact was friendly and straightforward, the check-in was easy. We would come back any time – a real insider tip for those looking for relaxation in nature!

It was so lovely to stay at Ewa’s place and it is incredibly picturesque and quiet. There are shops and restaurants within 20 minutes which is helpful for lunch / dinner etc. Ewa is a lovely host and makes the most wonderful breakfast every day - such a treat! I look forward to returning :)

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The house is very cosy and looks like in the photos. It is equipped with everything you need. The lakeside location is very quiet and the access to the beautiful lake is close. Lise and Michael were easily accessible and friendly. We would have preferred to have stayed longer. Conclusion: Highly recommended!

We spent one night in the beautiful cottage on our road trip. It is very quiet and the surrounding area is very nice. The outdoor shower is a real highlight, now I want one too. The dry toilet works well, it just takes a little getting used to but no problem. We'd love to come back and recommend it.

It was a fantastic stay for us with very friendly and helpful hosts in a wonderful environment. We particularly liked a wonderful hike around the lake, the subsequent bath and the sauna directly on the lake.

A fantastic B&B with a hotel feel. Wonderfully comfortable beds to sleep in and the charming little house had been carefully renovated without destroying the feeling of what it once was. To include all possible everyday luxuries. Highly recommend this accommodation and landlords!

Nice place to stay in an older environment. The hosts were very nice and the house very cozy. A plus is the sauna in the house. One disadvantage is that it is a bit low to the ceiling in different places in the house. The house is close to Mallboden and Motala workshop, which is a nice place with walking distance to the city center.

We spent almost two weeks in Alvasjö with a family of 8. The place is nothing less than magic. A lovely house, renovated just the way it should be, leaving the historic parts and gently adding modern needs. Sara and Ed were really helpful, always there when needed and very easy to contact. Excellent communication. The area is beautiful, went canoeing, rowing, fishing, mountainbiking, SUP, hiking, Sauna ob the lake, mushroom and blueberry picking. It was not „just another holiday“, it was more than what we all dreamed of when it comes to „holiday in Sweden“. Will certainly come back, a must go when you want to experience a comfortable and exciting holiday in the middle of wonderful swedish nature. Many many thanks for everything, Sara and Ed!

We had a wonderful stay at Katarina's place. It is really closed to the lake and the natural reserve. I highly recommend!!
