Cottage vacation rentals in Vancouver Island

This has been our 5th or 6th trip here and it’s always perfect! Josha and Sam are so friendly and the space is completely private. It’s the perfect get away.

The little cabin remains an absolute treasure. I first came here 17 years ago and it remains as wonderful as ever, impeccably cared for and very private. The view from the deck is breathtaking and the hammocks are a special treat!

Carol’s place was AMAZING! The kitchen had everything needed to make meals for dining in, which we did a lot of because THAT VIEW!! We didn’t want to leave, just wanted to sit and watch for marine life. We saw seals, dolphins, eagles, and a family of 6 sea otters playing. When the evening started to cool we moved our binoculars to the hot tub to continue enjoying the views and serenity. My family agreed the beds were comfy and we all slept well. If you are looking for a go go go vacay Pender Island is not your place. If you want easy hikes in gorgeous surroundings, peace that reaches your very core, and super friendly people I definitely recommend Pender Island! The didc golf course has discs for public use and was really fun! Driftwood shopping center has all you will need. We recommend Sea Star Winery and a stop at Bee Wild distillery for tastings. We HIGHLY recommend Carol’s place!

We had a great stay! Grandkids swam in the pool most every evening, and it was great to have the beach so close! Accommodations were very clean, comfortable beds, and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils needed for preparing meals and grilling. The grands loved discovering the box of toys too!

Very comfortable bed - firm with some soft. Hot tub was amazing, beautiful location, private and quiet. Conveniently located between Ucluelet and Tofino. Highly recommended.

Sally and Dale have such a BEAUTIFUL property - it was the perfect location for a girls’ bachelorette weekend. They were also such kind and responsive hosts, quick to respond to anything we needed, we truly felt right at home.

This Kinsol cottage is well worth the price, and is entirely private, unlike most Airbnb rentals in Vancouver Island, which are suites in someone’s house. It was clean and well designed. As an avid Airbnb booker I really appreciated that Liz had all the condiments and spices you would need for a trip away from home. The backyard is peaceful and we had no neighbours while we were there. We enjoyed the hot tub and the sound of the birds, we even had an owl land in the yard. The bedroom loft has steep stairs, which is noted in Liz’s description, you should go down them sideways (we were fine, but probably not suitable for elderly). The bed was firm yet very comfortable and the reclining loveseat had us falling asleep every night. One hour to Victoria, one hour to Nanaimo, 1 3/4 hour to Port Renfrew (if you take the Pacific Marine route be prepared for a very very windy road). Kinsol trestle was a 10 minute walk away and an amazing hike. Would I recommend Liz’s cottage, absolutely!!

Coastal Cottage was idyllic for my husband's birthday retreat. It was close to hiking, walking trails, the ocean, Ayum Creek Park, the Stickleback Pub & Sooke Oceanside Brewery; we were able to park our vehicle and thoroughly enjoy the area on foot! The cabin was so cute, cozy & well-stocked. The bed was comfortable. The private hot tub was a definite highlight for us. It was a peaceful, relaxing getaway, and exactly what we were hoping it would be! Kimberly was a super friendly, kind and responsive host! Thanks so much for hosting us! 🤗

This might be the first time I give 5 stars for an airbnb and it is absolutely well deserved. Julie and Johns place was beautiful, clean, quiet, and peaceful. The privacy and natural setting was well worth the price. The hosts were very thoughtful and had the placed stocked with all that you would need for a comfortable stay. The tall trees, sounds of birds, and animal sightings (eagles and deer) made it hard to want to leave! We truly loved our stay!

Was an amazing little oasis! Definitely can’t wait to come back! So well equipped with all the things you need and being pet friendly was so amazing! Thanks for an awesome little getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at Louise’s Cottage! very clean, comfortable bed, wood burning stove and thoughtful little welcome note. Home surrounded by greenery and only a short driving distance to town.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your cozy oceanfront paradise!!! We felt right at home and felt honoured to be able to spend time in what is obviously such a cherished family cabin. The location is absolutely incredible and we really appreciate how well stocked the whole cabin is with games, kitchen items, etc. We especially loved the sunroom and our kids loved cuddling up and reading books on the couch in there. Kevan's home is thoughtfully decorated, cozy and comfortable. There is lots of seating, indoors and out making it a great place for our family to hang out together. The kitchen is fully equipped, and all appliances function well. The beds are comfortable and everyone slept well. The standout is the spectacular garden. A true oasis. We hope to have the opportunity to stay again. Lisa

Had a wonderful stay, our pups had a great time, just walked across the street and we were on the beach. The road in front is a dead end with more people walking on it than cars! Wonderful view out the bank of windows - even saw a Black Bear early one morning walk down the driveway. Place was well stocked and exactly what a rustic cottage should be.

Gill and Sue are fantastic hosts, they are very friendly, responsive, helpful and proactive in their communication. Their cabin is just fantastic and located within a beautiful area, literallyon the beach front. "Sleeping under the stars" was a very apecial treat. When we can, we will definately be back. This place is spectacular. it is so private with sweeping views of the water and beautiful trees. Perfectly appointed inside. Just lovely.

Melinda’s cottage was a beautiful, quaint, and lovely place to stay on the island. Everything was well thought out and we had many moments where things were forgotten, but they were already provided. Melinda was communicative and the sweetest! The cottage was within walking distance from the beach and everything we wanted to do on the island was within 20 minutes ! Everything you could ever want and more for a little get away on the island; a home away from home. I can not wait for our next chance to come back!

Great little cabin in a nice quiet part of the island, had everything you needed in the kitchen, it was perfect for a weekend getaway. Looked just like photos and did not disappoint, we got to relax with a nice indoor fire a glass of wine and some card games 10/10 would recommend if you looking to go to Pender island

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful lake-side cottage. The place is right on the lake with amazing views. The interior is super cozy, with comfy couches and beds. It's one of those places where you immediately feel at home. Our hosts were incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful. We would love to come again!
