“The Casita Tofino was a perfect getaway for my 49th birthday! Sarah and Clover (the family's friendly dog) met me shortly upon my arrival after which I dropped off my things and headed out to Chesterman's Beach, a short drive away, to catch the late afternoon sun. A glorious mid-February welcome! This said, both Chesterman's Beach and Cox Bay are within easy walking (or cycling) distance---I enjoyed a walk to Cox Bay early the next morning. The cottage itself is tucked in the trees and gorgeously quiet. As a city-dweller, I sooo appreciated this earthy tranquility. The Casita features fine craftsmanship, including vaulted ceilings and lots of windows, and it is comfortably, tastefully furnished. Much thought and care went into the design of the space and the details within. Great colour scheme! and you'll also have an opportunity to enjoy Sarah's visual art. If you're looking for a simple, restful, comfortable, and happy-making space, Casita Tofino will not disappoint! This is a space in harmony with itself and with the land on which it sits. Ours is a new building on a historic street ... perfect! Only half block to the water and steps to gorgeous seawall walkways, you will experience the beauty of this great seaport city. All the downtown restaurants, shopping and cultural events are very walkable from here. Sleeps 2-4 persons, queen bed & q sofabed.
“Bonita is an excellent host! Checking in was simple and seamless. She met us upon arrival and showed us to this beautiful apartment; which was equipped with everything we needed. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home. She kindly left us coffee and delicious continental breakfast treats in the fridge. Our trip was for business and this apartment made it possible to rest and relax before another big day of work. The apartment’s location was a great bonus -- directly in the heart of the city, walking distant to all our favourite restaurants. Loved the views from the sunny balcony. I would return in a heartbeat! ”
