Amazing converted church -Dorset’s Jurassic Coast

KateRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a lovely surprise for we history buffs to find ourselves in an historic church and graveyard. Once inside, delighted at the little touches on theme, eg welcome goodies greatly appreciated. On our long trip, the most comfortable beds and pillows yet. Also compared to many AirBNBs, Gordon’s place had good kitchen facilities eg plenty of cups, plates and cutlery etc.

The North Transept

JadeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had the most wonderful relaxing holiday. I had always wanted to stay in a converted church and it did not disappoint. Everything supplied was of quality and we had everything we could possibly need. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. The gardens are beautiful and spent a long time wandering through them, sitting in the chair swing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Sarah was lovely, very helpful and accommodating. I would happily go back and would recommend to any couple looking for peace and relaxation in a wonderful setting.

Stunning 5* Converted Church, Strangford, Co Down

AlisonRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Four generations of our family stayed here for a week while here to celebrate my sons wedding in Tullyveery Killyleagh. What a week of weather! What a fantastic property which has been beautifully and lovingly restored. Very comfortable seats and beds and the space can be and is comfortably warm despite the high ceilings in the living area. We never needed to use the log burning stove .The road outside can be busy during the day but quiet at night. Strangford is a lovely wee place with a few shops and eating places and walks on the doorstep. NT Castleward is very nearby too. A 5 min ferry takes you over the other side to Portaferry where you can explore that side of Strangford loch. We enjoyed our trip very much and would love to return one day. Many thanks to Marty who is very helpful and responsive to communications

High Haven - 11th Century Church

AmyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a such a relaxing and unique stay at the church for a long weekend with the family. The renovation of the church is beautiful with lots of lovely design details. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the Pembrokeshire coastline is only a short drive away. 8 of us and a dog stayed at the church (one child and baby) the bedrooms are small but it didn't feel too cramped. The downstairs feels very spacious with a high ceiling and the log burner is really cosy especially for a rainy night! The place was very warm and calming, would definitely recommend for a place to recharge your batteries. Charlotte sent very clear instructions and there was a folder of information within the church so we didn't need to contact her at all but knew we could if we needed anything.
The exterior of a beautifully converted church is showcased, featuring intricate stonework and arched windows. A winding path leads to the entrance, framed by well-maintained greenery and flower beds. Seating is placed outside for relaxation in the garden space.

Honestly this converted chapel is REALLY nice! Spacious, modern, clean, bright, practical, homely, and very tastefully done up. Kitchen is very, very well equipped, with everything you need to cook for a group of people. The natural surroundings are stunning, with lots of hikes, walks, and rivers. I 100% recommend it for reunions, retreats, and informal group gatherings. Dionese is incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved meeting her and she really does keep the place in tip-top shape! Unique 3-bed loft in a 19th century church

OliverRating, 5 stars37 months ago
Nice place to stay in London near Westham, Stratford and not too far from Camden. Near Victoria Park and the canals. Own parking and safe space for bikes. Very warm welcome by Leena and wonderful tips for the area. Apartment needs some refurbishing but seemed as if this has been started. A bit more kitchen equipment would habe been nice. But besides it was a fantastic stay!

School House, The Old Chapel

SophieRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had a great stay at The Chapel, it was very central in Fowey and the house was charming and well equipped. Driving to the property through one way busy Fowey then parking was more challenging than expected but the host gave clear instructions on how best to navigate this.

The Old Chapel - *New for 2025*

NeilRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a lovely week at the converted chapel. It is in a nice peaceful location and the space itself has been beautifully transformed into luxurious, well appointed accommodation. Loved the welcome pack of bread, jam and granola. The chapel is located in GREAT Habton, a small peaceful village conveniently located close to MALTON, Pickering and Helmsley and not too far from the Yorkshire Coast. Would definitely recommend this place.

Unique room 'Bodhicitta' at Buddhist Centre

Ilona ElisabethRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I've been there several times. And for the second time in the double room "Bodhicitta". I especially like this room. :-) Also this time: Great!!! Everything went great! I was very satisfied with the accommodation: the room is cozy and practical, the location is central and the hosts, the "Lotus Guesthouse"team, are warm, friendly and helpful. I spent a few very nice days in total at the "Lotus Guesthouse" at Jamyang London Buddhist Centre, in London. Will definitely go back! Thank you! I'll come back! See you soon! :-)))
