Vacation rentals with lake access in Umeå

We spent an entire week here with my girlfriend, another couple, and their 6-year-old, and we absolutely loved it. The house is spacious and equipped with all the amenities one could ask for. Even though it was winter, the house stayed warm and cozy, and we thoroughly enjoyed all the fantastic features, including the piano, fireplace, and smart TV. There’s also a great selection of games to keep both kids and adults entertained, which we found really fun. Lars was an exceptional host—kind, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive. One evening, he even messaged us to let us know that the northern lights were visible, which was such a memorable experience. He was always responsive and super helpful. Thank you, Lars, for making our stay so wonderful!

Very cozy and quiet lake house with beautiful surroundings. The sauna and the grand piano were great extras. Charlotte was very flexible and even picked us from Umeå since we didn't have a car and arrived by train. You could get to the house by bus but it's definitely more convenient to have a car in this area. The house has all amenities you can think. Not a complaint but be aware that the tap water is very iron heavy. Would love to come back!

The cottage in Umeå, hosted by Hanna and Mattias, is a true oasis of peace. From the very first moment, we felt at home here – the interior was extremely cozy and decorated with attention to every detail. Everything was spotless, which added to the comfort of our stay. The neighborhood is gorgeous and very peaceful, perfect for resting and relaxing in nature. You can really breathe and enjoy the silence here. Hanna and Mattias are wonderful hosts – committed, helpful, and welcoming. They took care to make us feel as good as possible. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a unique place to stay in Umeå! 🌿✨

This is a unique house in a unique location. It's hard to describe, you have to experience it. There is a fantastic restaurant called Kajkanten at the local port (5 min. walk). The pasta dish was the best ever. The host Linéa is such a lovely person. Highly recommended.

A lovely house in a nice quiet place. Comfortable and all you need is there. Bring your own bed sheets and towels or rent them. You can sit outside and walk in the forest by the river. Dog was allowed. Vännäs is 8 km away and fun to go to. Also for groceries. Kajsa is very friendly and her parents who live in the house opposite too.

Amazing place with a stunning view over the lake. The pictures do not really catch all the beauty of this location. Very friendly and welcoming host, greeting you upon arrival and available to resolve any issues during your stay. Short drive to Ö-vik and the national park. Spotlessly clean and very cozy house with all amenities you may need during your stay. I really enjoyed the stay at Lillemor’s house and will be happy to return again.

We have had wonderful days in this incredibly nice cottage. We got a real wow feeling when we entered the cottage and also when we saw the balcony with the amazing view. Having your own pebble beach by the water was a real plus. We have been on excursions nearby, grilled and fished up several fish at our own rocky beach. We received a quick and pleasant response from Emma and also received a lot of tips on activities nearby. We are incredibly pleased that we booked this cottage and can highly recommend it!

Had a great stay in Lyktvägen - lovely apartment that fit our needs perfectly and felt at home. It had everything you could need. Close to the lake which was great for walking, running, cycling and kayaking in summer. Can imagine would be fun in Winter too. Marcus was a great host - responsive, helpful. Definitely recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Linnea’s beautiful home, which she cohosted with Oskar. Located on the peaceful outskirts of the charming town of Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, the house is perfectly positioned near the seaside, offering serene views of the water through its large windows. The home itself is spacious, thoughtfully furnished, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our children especially loved the wide-screen TV and the variety of toys, which made their time here extra enjoyable. Linnea was a warm and attentive host, making our stay even more memorable. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Large, comfortable, very clean and well-equipped accommodation. We only stayed one night but we are delighted. Anki was always receptive and keen to facilitate our stay, even if it was short.

House has a very nice decoration and very nice view over the sea. We were 4 people staying and the area was more than enough. We definitely recommend this place!

My mother and I stayed at Ulrika's cottage for a few days & had a lovely time. Everything was as described and as shown in the photos. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. The bedrooms were very comfortable as well. Our favorite spot was the glazed balcony where it was toasty and warm in the sun and we could watch the changing scenery on the lake. It is quite close to E4, however far enough away to be totally peaceful and quiet. Ulrika was very helpful with every aspect of our stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her cottage to anyone seeking a peaceful place to stay out in nature. Many thanks!

Very nice hosts and excellent communication. Lovely place with a beautiful view over the lake. Everything you need, including basics in the kitchen and bathroom (coffee, spices, shower gel etc.). Highly recommended.

We had a cozy Christmas celebration in the cabin, the view was very nice and there were good opportunities to walk/run in the area.

Comfortable quiet location in the countryside. Good beds, I got a good night's sleep. Nice, atmospheric grandma's cottage vibe.

The cottage offers plenty of privacy and is perfect for relaxing, though it can get a bit cold quite quickly. We especially loved being able to use the boat and sauna! Don’t forget to bring your own bed linen. And in case you’re wondering: there is a direct bus to Umeå.
