Opened in December 2024 [hatto] is an inn limited to two groups per day that has been renovated from a 50-year-old building. 9 mins walk from Fukui station, It is located at the entrance to the Hamamachi area adjacent to the downtown area. The Hamamachi area still retains the atmosphere that was once bustling as Chayamachi. The location with a view of Mt. Ashiba, facing the Ashikawa River, is located in the city, but you can feel the nature. I can have a relaxing time. I usually spend time in Fukui. Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

It is a house along Wakasa-cho, Fukui Prefecture. * There is an office of an operating corporation in one room in the building, so there are people coming and going during the day. * For consecutive nights, kayak tour participants may use the bathroom between 10:30 and 15:30. Please note that we will try to avoid any inconvenience to the guests entering through the back door. Limited to one group per day, there are no private houses around, so you can relax and enjoy your private time.

To ensure you enjoy the stay to the fullest, I set check-in and check-out time to both 12:00 Noon. So you can stay up for 24 hours with one night booking. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
