Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Truckee River

We loved our stay at Mark and Chelsea’s. The cabin exceeded all expectations. The home had everything we needed including very comfortable beds, outdoor games, well stocked kitchen and fire pit we used each night for smores. We didn’t use the jacuzzi but it was clean and serviced while we were there. Our 2 year old begged to not leave and we didn’t want to either. Thank you for hosting our very special family vacay.

Wow what a great cabin for families! We all had our private areas which is great with little ones. Tons of amenities and things to do around the home. Was fully stocked, updated and very clean. All together one or the best rentals I’ve stayed at! Highly recommend :)

This was a beautiful home. It more than comfortably fit my group of six. It was clean, spacious, easy to find, close to fun things, and very comfortable. Staying here was a blast and we’d definitely stay here again!

Such a wonderful stay for the weekend! Everything was clean, warm and welcoming. The neighborhood was so serene. Instructions for check in and check out were clear. As far as checkout, I recommend taking the trash out the night before you plan to leave. It’ll save you a back and forth trip the morning of! I would definitely plan a stay here again!

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this beautiful high-end cabin in Truckee. The attention to detail was exceptional—from the luxurious furnishings to the stunning mountain views, every element was thoughtfully curated for comfort and style. The kitchen was fully stocked and perfect for cooking meals after a day of adventure. We especially loved the cozy fireplace, hot tub under the stars, and the peaceful surroundings that made it feel like a true escape. Just a short drive to skiing, downtown Truckee, and Lake Tahoe, the location was unbeatable. This cabin is a gem. What truly set this stay apart was the host. Korri was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. It felt like staying at a five-star retreat with the personal touch of a caring host. Blue Mountain Haus offers the perfect balance of comfort and convenience. With parking right in front of the unit and a shuttle to the village just two doors down. This beautifully remodeled unit in NorthStar at Tahoe feels like home. Thoughtfully decorated, it offers a warm, inviting atmosphere. The well-appointed kitchen has everything needed for the family chef, seamlessly connecting to the dining and family rooms for quality time together. The cozy living room features ample seating, a gas fireplace, and stunning snow-capped hillside views. A quaint balcony with a bistro table is perfect for coffee, wine, or simply enjoying the scenery. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated with plush mattresses, soft linens, and fresh pillows. A stocked laundry area with new machines keeps up with outdoor adventures. Thoughtful details and communicative hosts made this our most memorable vacation rental. Anastasia was a wonderful and responsive host. She was incredibly helpful and flexible, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Her kindness and attentiveness really stood out. The place itself was charming and beautifully quiet — a perfect, peaceful retreat. Highly recommended!

Carol met us right in front of the property and showed us our place. The place was overall very clean and temperate! It was easy to access and easy for ride shares to navigate to. Carol is a lovely host and I would stay here again.

Best part, they had a EV charger.

We stayed there for memorial weekend and absolutely liked the apartment. It was spacious, clean and has everything to enjoy the stay. We liked the kitchen especially, it has utensils, spices,and very clean without any bad odour. The location is so close that you can walk to the downtown and enjoy the stroll along the Truckee river. We will definitely stay at this place if visiting Reno again. Thanks Mike for making the stay very comfortable.

Jack's place was just what we were looking for. Great location within walking distance to restaurants, the Great Basin Co-op, and the Riverwalk. It was spacious for a two-bedroom. Clean & comfortable. Nothing fancy, but good value.

The place is clean, well appointed, and a great location close to resort. Hosts go out of their way to make a first class experience with several nice amenities including stocked coffee bar, well equipped kitchen, and a nice welcome package sitting in each bedroom. The place is awesome for the price.

Stayed at Eric's place and would definitely stay there again if it's available in the future. The studio was clean, well-maintained, and in a great location. Eric was easy to communicate with and provided clear, detailed instructions for check-in. Thank you!

There's no closer ski-in / ski-out condo in the village than the ones in Catamount! What makes this one special, though, is that it's so quiet with the balcony facing the mountains, and the massage chair is a real luxury! Excellent stay overall, will definitely return!

Loved our stay. Nebojsa & Sladana were very quick and responsive to questions before and during our stay. The place was clean, the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we could have needed, and the location was great for ski in and out access. Bonus for being in the first floor. Hope to book again next season.

This condo feels like a home-away-from-home the moment you walk in. It’s tucked in a peaceful spot just minutes from Lake Tahoe, yet blissfully quiet at night. The kitchet is well equipped, the living room is awesome, and the beds are super comfy. If you want a stress-free base for exploring Tahoe—or simply for curling up with a book while pine trees sway outside—look no further.

This is our second time staying in Northstar and this time around we really liked the condo we stayed in. The kitchen was newly remodeled and it fully loaded with all the basic essentials to make a meal. The deck off the living was a nice spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and bird watch. My family had a great time playing with the mini foosball table and we loved the rec center. So much to do! The rec center staff were very helpful and polite. We look forward to booking again in the near future!!
