Chalet vacation rentals in Truckee River

The house was really great. Lovely, peaceful neighborhood with a trail to hike at the end of the cul de sac. Nice balcony to sit on and have your morning cup of coffee and a great big fenced in yard for our dogs to run around in while we played cards on the picnic table. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful retreat.

We stayed in the chalet with our 7-year-old and found it to be an ideal getaway. The home was cozy, functional, and filled with natural light from its many windows. We especially appreciated its child-friendly atmosphere and games and convenient location—just two blocks from the shuttle to Diamond Peak Ski Resort. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!

We had a great stay! The Cabin felt cozy and comfortable! It felt like home! Would stay again! The view was beautiful and breathtaking! We were close by to South Lake Tahoe downtown area and Holiday Market super close by which was convenient. Loved our stay!

This Airbnb was perfect, amazing location in Tahoe city, close to Palisades and restaurants. The hot tub was great. The host was extremely communicative and accommodating

We enjoyed our stay in Carnelian Bay! The location is great, walking distance to pebble beach and other activities nearby (coffee shop, mini golf, hiking trails). The cabin was very clean and cozy, the kitchen is great if you're planning to make your own meals like we did.

I don’t even know where to start!?! It was our first time in Tahoe and like any road trip you need a clean bed and peaceful home haha ! Michael’s home was beautiful and well kept, the carpets were new, the furniture was clean, the bathrooms and rooms were well dusted with not a cobwebs in sight haha ! 🤣 the property sits on a beautiful hill and the flowing stream of water in his property ads to its charm and a hiking trail around the corner! What more could you ask for!

Rob’s place was a cozy comfortable place for our family of 5 to get some R&R.

We went with a friend's family and there were 4 kids aged 1,3,4 and 5. The jungle gym was an instant hit. The backyard was gorgeous and plenty of snow to play with for the kids without having to drive or go anywhere. Warm home , warm host , basic common sense rules and simple instructions. Good location just a 4-5 mins drive to King's beach. Had a great time - couldn't ask for more.

Kim was an excellent host. Our stay at Kim's place was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, Kim was the epitome of a perfect host: polite, professional, and incredibly communicative. She was always accessible and quick to respond to any questions we had, which made our trip planning and stay completely stress-free. The property itself was exactly as described, offering breathtaking views of the lake. It was a quiet and peaceful retreat, allowing us to truly relax and unwind. It was clear that Kim takes great pride in her listing. I cannot recommend Kim and her property highly enough. We had a great stay! Z was very responsive when I messaged with questions both before our stay and during. We got to the house really late due to a delayed flight and a very snowy drive so we did a few circles before finding the house. We were tired and it was kind of hard to see and bad gps, but once we got used to the area it was so easy to find! Location was great if you like the Nevada side of Heavenly, which we do. The house was well equipped with kitchen equipment and even seasonings. We loved the very cozy dual living rooms with fire places, both upstairs and downstairs. We appreciated the hot tub after a day of snowboarding. Everything was clean and comfortable, we enjoyed our stay very much. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Molly’s place was the perfect long weekend getaway for our family of 8. Location was perfect, close to Heavenly and the downtown area. The place was spacious, has great communal areas for relaxing, and large kitchen area with updated appliances. Only thing missing was a hot tub after a long day of skiing! Molly is an excellent host and was responsive to all of our requests/questions. We greatly enjoyed her house and would stay here again!

Our family of 9 plus an infant and a toddler stayed at Steve’s for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Steve was very responsive to any questions we had. The labels in the house and instructions made it really easy to know where things were. Steve’s place met all of our needs and was more than enough room for our family. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you’d need to use to cook with. The open space with the living room and kitchen was the perfect place for all of us to gather and the view is stunning! There is also a hot tub out on the deck looking out to the lake. Steve also gave me recommendations for golfing in the area. Some of us went and enjoyed an afternoon at the nearby golf course that he told me about. We had a great family trip and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home in Tahoe Donner. Home was perfect for our large family. Bunk room is perfect for the kids and pilot space for the adults. Open kitchen, living area was perfect for everyone to spend time together. Jason was a great host. Would definitely stay there again.
