Cottage vacation rentals in Truckee River

Our best winter (Christmas trip) yet! My family & I have been spending Christmas week in Tahoe for years and this home is the first property that we want to come back to again! It is a mixture of the listing is a home and has all the comforts of an actual home. The location is amazing for skiing, dinning, shopping and still being walkable to "backcountry" trails. Lel is an amazing host and her heart to serve is what makes staying there that much better. She really took care of us for some of our winter adventures! As an Airbnb host myself, Lel's place (including her as a host) is the full package!

Samia was an amazing host! We appreciated the wine bottle she left us. I had messaged her a few times during our stay to ask a couple of questions and she replied really fast. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location walking distance from the slopes?

Perfect place for a ski week! Sarah was very responsive and attentive, and the cabin was private and well-maintained. Could not have asked for a better location.

Enjoyed our stay at Crawford Cottage. Check in/check out was super easy, and Cristy was a friendly and responsive host. The home is private, cozy and clean, has an appealing decor, and the rooms, including the kitchen, are all well appointed. We found the bedrooms to be nice sized, with comfortable beds and the bathrooms were bright and spacious. The front porch swing was a hit. We had all that we needed for a pleasant visit and would definitely stay here again. Take it easy on the short, private road.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cottage in Grass Valley! The home was very private surrounded by a beautiful forest landscape. The furniture, decorations and details were impeccable, and the host thought of every little detail from providing board games, snacks and tea, and great recommendations of things to do and places to eat at in the surrounding area. We highly recommend this place if you want a calm, private getaway in the foothills!

My friends were getting married at the corner barn this was the most perfect airbnb for my trip. Walking distance from the venue. I loved the wood stove! Definitely will be staying here again.

Being in the cottage was like being in a park. The neighborhood is quiet, beautiful, and perfectly situated for us. We certainly hope that we will be able to book with Andrea again for a future visit.

Adorable home in the heart of Nevada City. Perfect for a short girls trip while visiting my aunt who is a longtime resident of Nevada City and also celebrating her birthday. The decor is right up our alley. We have driven by this place so many times, wanting to stay the night and it finally happened. Host is very proactive with emails and instructions. We hope to stay at her other location in the future as that is our other frequent vacation destination.

Great place for a couple to get away. Tidy layout, nice area, everything you need close to hand. It was storming pretty heavily when we stayed and it was really fun to watch it out the windows and hear it on the roof!

We had a lovely stay at the cottage! JP and Tracy left us some light snacks and dog treats for our pup. It was such a warm welcoming! The cottage couldn't be a better location, it was exactly what we needed for a quick ski trip.

Beautiful cottage. Very accommodating and up-to-date. The chickens are absolutely darling. The best wineries just minutes away. Didn’t think it was possible to enjoy our second stay more so than the first. Can’t wait to return.

A private place in the heart of the city. The guaranteed parking space in a neighborhood of metered parking was a big perk. We ate at multiple neighboring restaurants and loved them all. So peaceful and exciting at the same time. Highly recommend.

One of the Best Airbnbs We've Ever Stayed In! Shasta was an amazing host, so friendly, responsive, and clearly committed to making sure everything about our stay was perfect. The home itself was exceptional: sparkling clean, beautifully decorated, and filled with high-quality furnishings, dishes, and toiletries. It truly didn’t feel like a rental, it felt like home! Check-in was seamless, and the location couldn’t be better. We walked into town several times and loved how close it was to hiking trails and the Yuba River. This is a best-in-class Airbnb in every way, and we absolutely hope to stay again in the future. Highly recommend!

Brandon’s place was so cozy. While it was a bit further than what we were expecting from the activities we had planned, the place was private and beautiful. He was responsive as well, but had clear direction and instructions that no questions came up! I would definitely recommend the cozy cottage - if you like wine, you have LOTS of beautiful vineyards to choose from!

Great space in a very walkable location. We stayed here for a wedding and it was everything we needed. The house is adorable, clean, and quiet, and the back deck is awesome. 5 minute walk to shops and cafes. Ione is also extremely responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.
