Villa Taddei - near and away

Villa Taddei is a beautiful house built in the seventies by my uncle as a second house where to spend relaxing time away from the bustle of the city of Rome. My uncle, who was a veterinary loved nature and this was the perfect place to enjoy his cats and dogs and to work at his garden and plot and enjoy . The garden is huge and it's full of fruit trees: apricots, peaches, plums in summer, pears, apple and lots of oranges and lemons in winter! It really spreads peace and quietness. Villa Taddei is peaceful inside too with its walls totally white, a bright light and a pleasant natural atmosphere. There are 3 double rooms and an extra funny bed under a wall arch in the living room. Other extra beds can also be requested. There are also three bathrooms and a solar shower outside in the garden. There is the place to park up to 4 cars inside the property and the Villa has the automatic garden door and the camara at the door bell. Outside in the garden you have two porches and a stone barbecue and all you need to stay comfortable outdoor, including bikes for your trips. We are close to the coast (4 km) in the southern part of the province of Rome, at the beginning of the Pontine and close to the Castelli Romani. In these parts, it is a little 'history and a bit' legend, Aeneas landed, precisely in Lavinio, today also called Lido di Enea. The location of the villa, which makes it advisable but not essential to have a car, is an excellent base for your visit to Rome, with the advantage of accommodation in the open countryside away from the chaos and congestion and pollution big city. To get to Rome we suggest you arrive by car to EUR, important and interesting suburb south of the city, and then take the metro. In particular, you should take in the vicinity of the villa Via Laurentina and hence the Pontina (SS 148) which continues as Via Cristoforo Colombo in Eur, where there are several metro line B metro (Laurentina, Eur Fermi - most recommended - Eur Palasport, Eur Magliana) and where you can easily park. The total distance by car is about 30 km with a travel time of 20-25 minutes. Another solution is to reach by car or train from Santa Palomba-Pomezia or to Campoleone both about 15 minutes away and from there take the train to Rome Termini (website hidden). The Fiumicino airport is about 40 '. In addition Nearby Rome there are many things of interest and amusement. Here are some references: the Zoomarine water park between Pomezia and Torvaianica 15 ' the Landriana Gardens in Tor San Lorenzo 15 ' the Castelli Romani 30 ' the Manzù Museum in Ardea 5 ' Anzio and Nettuno to 25 ' the Gardens of Ninfa 30 ' the Shopping Village with a factory outlet stores of major fashion houses in the Castelromano Pontina to 20 ' Ostia Antica Ostia Lido and to 25 ' the rock and the natural park of Circeo to 60 '.

L'appartement était PARFAIT, et à la hauteur de nos espérances. La décoration était belle, colorée et très originale, ce qui change des logements aseptisés qu'on trouve parfois sur les plateformes. Tout était fait pour rendre le séjour pratique (machine à laver, fer à repasser, étendoir...) et nous faire sentir comme à la maison. La terrasse (avec sa banquette extérieure hyper confort) était le nec plus ultra où nous avons pu prendre des apéritifs avec vue sur le soleil couchant sur les toits de Rome. De quoi rendre notre séjour romain encore plus magique. Grazie mile !

Amazing stay. Really nice and helpful host. Great apartment. Fantastic private roof top terrace. Great Beach and Sea Big market on tuesday only 1 min. walk A lot of fun in Zoomarine theme park just 12 min walk away. Also good restaurants in the Area. Last but not least - never had better ice cream than from Dolce Vita very close to the apartment. All in all we had a great stay and would come back.
