Family-friendly vacation rentals in Tomales Bay

I stayed here with my wife and 15 month old daughter. It was a perfect getaway for our family, located right off PCH with easy access to local beaches and restaurants. The home was very well appointed with everything we could need including kitchenware as well as toys for our developing toddler. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. You can’t beat the view from the hot tub!

A gem of a space, spent 6 relaxing days enjoying the sound of waves, the wind and watching Karl move in and out. Thank you Yeshi for being an amazing host and human being 🙏

This is our second stay at Nancy's cottage and we love it! it is so peaceful and rejuvenating. Lots of birds, even a few owls at night! The cottage has everything we need, with a fully equipped kitchen which we put to good use! Pt Reyes Station is such a fun town to explore, with good food, art galleries, and a wonderful bookstore. And if course Pt Reyes National Seashore is a gem. We spent all day Sunday exploring it. The cottage is the perfect home base for all those fun activities. I am already looking at the calendar to figure out our next stay at the cottage!

We loved the property and its proximity to the water and two large beaches. The house itself is thoughtfully decorated and has the furnishings and supplies just like it would if someone actually lived there rather than the typical Airbnb “shell” that only has the bare necessities (or less). We did have an unfortunate complication that occurred when we arrived. Things happen, but what matters more than anything is how a host handles an unexpected event. Jay was kind, understanding, and empathetic and did everything needed to make things right. We will absolutely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Deja Blu. The location is perfection! Private, with beautiful gardens, only a hop, skip and a jump from the ocean. Falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves at night was divine. The home was clean and comfortable, and Barr was a lovely, helpful host. If you are looking to unwind in serenity, I highly recommend this home.

Wonderfully quiet location in the trees next to a tiny creek. Perfect getaway from the city, yet so accessible and decorated with beautifully woven fabrics from the owner’s business.

The place was awesome. Beautiful scenery. We felt right at home. Ryan and James answered all our questions. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with beautiful scenery and all you need to be comfortable this is the place.

We had a wonderful stay in Dillon Beach at Wabi Tei. The host, Jen was awesome. She was responsive and polite throughout our stay and made us feel so welcome. The house was very clean and felt very comfortable staying at. The views from all of the windows were absolutely amazing and our kids & dog loved spending time at the beach. Would highly recommend and hope to come back again.

We really enjoyed our time here and extended for an extra night. Majestic views of tomales bay/dillon beach from all rooms/deck and 5 min drive down hill to dillon beach which is dog friendly. The dogs had a blast splashing around in the natural tide pools at low tide.

The Fox Lodge is a very spacious home, ideal for group gathering, optimally located near Point Reyes/ Inverness and outdoor activities. The master bedroom suite was gorgeous with an amazing view and comfortable bed. The kitchen was well stoked with state of the art appliances, although a bit dark for food prep and with limited pantry space. The family room was very comfortable and cozy with a beautiful and large L-shaped couch ideal for lounging and relaxing. There is a nice deck off the kitchen/living room for outdoor dining and lounging. We enjoyed are stay!!

Perfect place to stay for trips over to Napa while being very affordable. The place was just as described and loved that there was even a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toaster if needed. We didn’t spend lots of time in the room as we were doing wineries and BottleRock. We didn’t mind the 25 minute drive to Napa but did hit an hours worth of traffic Saturday night of BottleRock coming back. We would still donut the exact same way just make sure you’re aware that could happen for big events :) for the price and peacefulness of the stay it’s totally worth the drive! Love that there were full length mirrors, soft white robes and even soft reading lights above the bed. Only other thing to note would be to bring an eye mask if you’re very light sensitive, as some filters in. Kate was very response in helpful when I needed an iron too! Highly recommend this stay!

We loved every minute at Virginia’s place…it was one of our favorite Airbnbs ever! From the bottle of wine that greeted us upon arrival, to the lovely free pastries at the bakery to the hot tub under the stars and perfectly designed house…we didn’t want to leave!

Absolutely one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in. It was immaculately clean with vibrant, fun, eclectic decor. We loved the style and setup. It was well equipped and then some! Thoughtful touches. Such a cozy and comfortable place to stay. Bed was very comfortable Nice hot shower with ever toiletry you can think of available for guests. The patio was exceptional, again beautifully decorated. We enjoyed starting our day with coffee out there. Location was perfect. Downtown Petaluma minutes away. Surrounding area has breweries and wineries. Monica was a very attentive host, checking in to see if we needed anything a few times during our stay. Excellent communication. Answered our questions prior to booking. We have family in San Fran and will absolutely make this place our home base whenever we visit.

The place was amazing!! My family and I have stayed at 2 properties by Russian River Getaways and both are simply magical! This is the perfect place to have a relaxing retreat. The patio was built right along a babbling brook which is the perfect sound track to a nature filled weekend. Opening the windows at night to hear it allowed us to have amazing sleep each night. I especially enjoyed the trail around the brook and spring. You can go further up into the mountain than you'd expect on the property. There's a hammock and lots of chairs and tables at scenic parts along the trail. There's even an outdoor cot perfectly placed for a mid day nap next to the stream. Obviously, the hot tub led to a perfect ending each evening on such an enjoyable vacation of hiking and wine tasting. If you love the outdoors, wine and a peaceful atmosphere than this is the perfect area for a getaway and you can't go wrong with this lovely rustic retreat being your homebase!

We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Maurine and the hosts of this AirBNB! This house is truly a gem and exceeded our expectations! We loved everything about this property- from the comfortable, homey setting to the beautiful landscaping and outdoor spaces. Directions and communication were clear and guest friendly. On behalf of the 5 of us, on our girls' getaway, we thank you all wholeheartedly and are already planning on returning next April! Thank you for sharing this truly special home with us. It was a perfect 5 star get-away from beginning to end!

We loved our time here! Not only were Darren and Laura wonderful hosts and communicators, but the property genuinely exceeded our expectations, the Airbnb was MORE beautiful in person than in the photos (hard to believe, I know), and the location of the neighborhood was incredible — high up on a hill of a beautiful and safe neighborhood. 😍 Only recommendation for future guests — book one extra day!! There is so much to do and such little time! We would’ve loved to have one more day to enjoy the Airbnb a little more. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Wonderful little cottage getaway on a pleasant and peaceful property. Kathy was an amazing host making us feel right at home. Plenty of space for a couple and very tasteful decor with a well stocked kitchen! Would highly recommend staying here! :)

This place is increíble! Hosts were friendly and proactive. The pool was heated to a perfect temperature and the view is unbeatable. The recommendations for hikes and restaurants were spot on. My husband and I had an amazing little getaway and we’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, gorgeous place to stay!

We came a second time to Fred’s river home oasis. Our kids love the grounds and the stream is so peaceful. Pool is delightfully warm and with a Forest view. Come here for a nature escape. We will be back!

I almost don't want to tell you how good this place is, so we can rent it again sometime. :-) But it's that good. We visited over spring break with our daughters, eight and 11, and had one of the most amazing stays we've ever had at an Airbnb. The home, the land, the pool, and the local area are all 100% amazing. And the sunsets. You know how you sometimes stay at Airbnb's where you feel like the hosts did the bare minimum to qualify to list it? This is *not* that place. There is everything you need and more. Description and pictures all matched. It was very private despite the main house being on-site. The hot tub was excellent and was so peaceful among pine and palm trees. Polina met us and showed us around. We did not use the pool but it was available. Bed, pillows and linens comfortable. We had very late nights due to our plans and felt easy and safe returning later at night. Parking on-site was appreciated.
