Chalet vacation rentals in Tignes

Overall: Came for a winter skiing week with 3 adults and 2 children. Everyone was very satisfied with this very nice chalet -- but prepare yourself for some low ceilings. Pros: Larger than we were expecting. Split toilet and shower helps with larger group. Lots of places to dry your wet items. Area outside for kids to play in snow with toys and sled(ge)s available. Sheltered picnic table just outside the front door. Able to borrow a variety of cooking equipment for making local delicacies. Extremely helpful host. Beautiful interior and exterior. Cons: You WILL bump your head on the large ceiling joist over the beds in the 3-bed room. No matter how much you think you have learned where it is, you haven't. On the last day while packing achieved concussion level impact with this joist, despite a week of experience. Other low areas such as over stairs could be an issue for a taller person. Garage has limited space for accessing vehicle and we parked only half into the garage.

We had an amazing stay at Maryvonne’s incredible chalet. It was not the easiest to find but with one quick phone call to Maryvonne, we were greeted with open arms and escorted to the property. The property itself is just incredible. The photos on the listing do not do the place justice. The craftsmanship and the finishing touches are simply delightful. We have friends that live locally and we will be sure to bring the family and stay again. Superb host and superb property.

We had a great time at Alain and Sandra's! The apartment is beautiful, everything is in accordance with the listing. Very clean and nothing missing! Alain and Sandra are very friendly and responsive. The location is ideal for discovering the Beaufortain! I would 100% recommend it! We'll be back! :)

Very good stay at Laurent's cottage, the place is very cozy and pleasant. His wife welcomed us warmly and everything was very clean. Thanks to them for hosting us.

The Barillon cottage is in a green setting, lulled by the gurgling of a nearby spring and birdsong. The place, after a winding climb, is extremely peaceful and quiet, far from the din of the city and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The view from the kitchen and terrace is well worth the climb! The cottage is equipped with all the comforts you need and the stove is there to warm up wet and cool days even at an advanced time of the season! For walkers, a few walks at the foot of the chalet, otherwise easily accessible by car. We had a great time! Plus, the hosts are lovely and attentive...

We spent three nights in this amazing apartment. One could not ask for a better experience! The place itself has everything you need. We were very comfortable. What really stands out however, is the incredible view! The apartment is located high up on a mountain slope. The view from the terrace is just absolutely breathtaking. Never seen anything like it in all my 52 Airbnb stays. We were met by Cyrille, one of the hosts. A most welcoming and charming man. It was very nice meeting him and listening to his stories. We will most likely be back for more. A highly recommended listing!

Very pleasant and clean accommodation. Good location, with beautiful views and quiet. Welcoming and caring host. Clear instructions and responsiveness. We really enjoyed the setting and the welcome. We loved our stay here. The house is so well set up for a family or friends spending time together. We used it as a base for skiing (many stations are accessible in 20-30 mins) but we loved the evenings in the house. Absolutely lovely kitchen/dining/entertaining space and four great bedrooms in a beautiful secluded location with amazing views. As mentioned on some of the reviews this is a converted wooden building without sound proofing between the floors but this didn’t diminish how much we loved the place. One thing to note if you are visiting in the winter - the house is 10 minutes up from the main road up a fairly steep hill - we managed to get our long wheel base VW van up and down easily enough but make sure you have good winter tyres and snow chains if required.

Julian's chalet is a great find in Tignes - it's located in a quieter area with a fantastic balcony overlooking the valley. The hot tub was fantastic and Julian was extremely responsive and helpful throughout. Thank you for a great stay.

Great chalet where we stayed for our week skiing. The slopes are not far away and the chalet is super warm. I recommend it!

We had a great time in this nice cottage, both warm and very comfortable. The equipment is complete, nothing is missing to feel at home. Kids loved the games available, a real plus! The host is friendly, caring and always available when needed. We would definitely recommend it and will gladly come back!

The chalet is beautiful! Really spacious, great sized rooms and exactly as described. It’s in a quiet hamlet but walkable to the town and an easy drive to all the ski resorts. The chalet was really well equipped, particularly for us travelling with a toddler and older children. Sophie couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We had an unforgettable stay in this very modern chalet, with a direct view of Mont Joly. We were 3 families with children and were able to enjoy the comfort of the chalet, in a peaceful environment, 10 min walk to the center of Les Contamines. Marine was very responsive to our requests and gave great tips. The concierge service offered is very appreciable and allowed us to discover local artisans. Great for a stay with family or friends in the mountains. We'll be back!

We came to spend a few days with the family for the Ascension week and the Maxi race. We had all the comforts in Marie and Rodolphe's cozy chalet located in a beautiful setting in Doussard. Aboslutely the best location in the area. The view from all rooms is exceptional. I would not hesitate to book this property again. There is one thing of note, and this was not a problem for us, but something to be aware of. The house is a duplex. The large deck in front connects to the ajoining unit. It is owned by the same (very friendly) family. I hope to return to this wonderful place again soon.

Perfect accommodation for a family gathering, access close to the ski resort, very peaceful environment. The only downside in my opinion is the price of electricity to be added at the end of the stay. We had it for 107 euros without excess and without using the sauna ...
