Vacation rentals with a kayak in Sullivan County

Excellent weekend getaway from the city. Alan is a responsive host and allowed us an earlier check in and later check out. House is super cozy and quaint and although can accommodate more people it also works perfectly for a couple. Hot tub was a great addition to the home and perfect for two. The lake is super close and serene. So many fabulous little towns to drive to and explore within 20 minutes of the house for thrifting, great coffee shops and good eats. Alan provides a guidebook with everything you can think of, so much helpful info. My partner and I also loved playing the games they had in the living room for family fun. It was a perfect weekend getaway. A peaceful nook in a quiet community. Just what we were looking for. Would highly recommend.

I rented to celebrate my sister’s birthday with our families. The house it was perfect for our three couples and one teen teenager. It had everything you could think of for an amazing stay. We barbecued dinner, made s’mores around the fire pit and spend time on the lake. It was a great time and can’t wait to go back. Marzena was a great host!

Great property, great host. always in communication throughout the stay, helpful with any questions we had. comfortable house, great spaces to relax and take in the scenery. outdoor kitchen/grill is awesome for cooking up burgers and dogs while relaxing on the deck.

We had an amazing weekend in the Catskills thanks to The Nest at Swiss. We brought five kids and 5 adults and we had the greatest time. Plenty of room to spread out while also a ton to do. We watched movies, played cards, made pop corn, built fires, smoked meat, went fishing, kayaking, played endless games of manhunt and monopoly. The Nest was set up for everything. We really enjoyed the short walks into Jeffersonville and hanging out on the decks. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect for Memorial Day weekend it did not matter to us. The Nest is also really close to Bethel Woods and we took him to concert on Saturday night super convenient location. The house was fully stocked and had everything we can think of. Well done Matthew!

Suzanne’s home is absolutely beautiful! We had a great stay, albeit cold and rainy during most of it. The well-stocked house allowed us to feel right at home and during the rain we played plenty of games of pool and darts. The kayaks were fun to take out and we even caught a few fish (although it did seem the fish were smarter than us- stealing most of our bait). The view of the lake is amazing, the area is quiet, and there is an eagle that hangs out on the rock just beyond the dock!

This was a second stay at Chris's place because our family so enjoyed it the first time. Interestingly, our grandkids remembered it but had a completely different experience as they are older. This time they were old enough to enjoy the kayaks and paddle boards on Lake Huntington! And now there are foosball tournaments! We shared meals, campfire, games and laughs. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, recently renovated house. Big, spacious bedrooms with very good mattresses. I agree with all previous  reviews - absolutely stunning property, one of the best I've rented. Peter is a very nice, responsive host; we asked for earlier check-in - "no problem"! I highly recommend this house, and most likely we will be back next year.

We wanted a place by a lake where our family members can travel to meet and be together. Heidi's place was perfect. The house had a comfortable feel to it and we fit 9 adults and three small grandchildren in our own rooms. The yard, deck, and dock had plenty for us to do as well as rainy day things to do inside which helped since part of our time had rain. Heidi provided details of things to do and that was helpful to go exploring. We all enjoyed going over to the Bethel Woods Center to see the Woodstock museum. We made some awesome family memories at Heidi's house and hope we can come back again.

Anais home was spacious, clean, open and airy with great natural light and outdoor space which worked really well for our two small families with one 6 year old and one infant. It included all the amenities including toys children’s books packnplay and a great little surprise playroom and open kitchen and living area. Very close to food shopping and an urgent care which we had to visit bc of a tick bite my husband got so the location came in handy. Unfortunately bound to happen in the woods! The town of Liberty did not seem to have much going on otherwise but close to Bethel Woods and other towns worth a visit. And staying at the house using the grill and playing worked out great for our young families.

Four of us and two dogs had a great time at the lake house for three night! Steven has programmed the space nicely with fire pits, hammocks, and boats to use during your stay. We had so much fun, and enjoyed hanging out on the porch by the grill. Beds were comfy, and the both room was clean with lots of towels. Steven was super responsive and helpful whenever we had any questions. Don't second guess a reservation here.

Couldn't have been happier with this cottage. Modern appliances, beautiful surroundings, quiet, gorgeous view overlooking the lake. The kitchen and master bathroom were standouts. Would stay here again. Bob and Julie did a fantastic job communicating before, during, and after the stay.

It was a perfect stay for me, my husband, and our two dogs. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard. And we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor swim spa and grill. Jason’s place had all of the cooking appliances that we needed to make meals when we didn’t want to go out. The place was spotless and the bathroom was stocked with all of the amenities you can think of. We will definitely be back if we come back to this part of the Catskills.

The house was beautiful and my family loved it. The swingset outside and the toys inside kept my kids occupied and happy the whole time. The house is very kid friendly which was great for us. The house is right by the lake and we were able to go fishing and even use the kayak. We had a very peaceful stay and would definitely come again.

Debra and Mike were great hosts and have created a very warm, inviting and comfortable place for those seeking to explore the Catskills. It's a home away from home! There's a grill available which we made great use of, a fire pit to enjoy nature and star gazing, and their two dogs Luna and Roxy are extremely friendly. Highly recommend their place!

Lovely spot. Quiet and well-appointed with a vintage vibe. The lake is great for paddling/fishing. Its central location is perfect for trout fishing the many creeks and rivers in the area, and exploring the towns of Roscoe/Livingston Manor/Callicoon. Would recommend!

Priscilla was a great host and was very flexible with some unforeseen last minute scheduling conflictions on our end. The cabin was very nice and clean and the dogs had a ton of fun in the pond. it was a nice, secluded location for a getaway and only 5 minutes from town.

Absolutely fantastic. Beautiful scenery. Lots to do on the property without even leaving the house. The house is fully stocked. If you accidentally leave anything behind.. this house will have it. Comfortable beds. The pool table and poker table was a lot of fun. The hottub was awesome. WiFi works great. I went in the river a few times but keep in mind the current is strong if you are not a good swimmer. I could have stayed even longer, I did not want to leave! Left feeling very refreshed as if I left the spa. This is a great house for a family or friend’s retreat. I really enjoyed my stay and recommend to anyone thinking about it. There are some shops 15mins away if you need anything. Chinese food, liquor store, convenience store etc

Our family spent a long weekend here and we felt right at home. The house was clean with plenty of room and thoughtful extras like a toothbrush, snacks in the kitchen, even the towels were arranged nicely like you were staying a hotel. We enjoyed our experience and it was just the little getaway we needed to celebrate our son’s 12th birthday.

We absolutely loved our time here! We loved how secluded and quiet the property was. There’s plenty of room to spread out and the house has everything you need to have relaxing evenings/dinners at home and it’s just a 15 minute drive to Livingston Manor for going out to eat. You also have access to Hunter Lake for swimming and kayaking (only a 5 minute walk) which was the perfect way to unwind and cool off after long days of hiking. Heather was also very responsive during check in and check out and we felt well taken care of.

Prime location with private lake access and hiking trails within 50 feet of the home. Leo’s property was perfect for our family fishing trip - northern pike, yellow perch, sunfish and catfish are in abundance. The house was beautifully decorated, clean, and cozy. Kitchen space was an absolute hit - spacious and full of the best appliances and cookware. Truly felt that we took advantage of everything this hidden gem had to offer. Leo even offered late check out! This stay cannot be beat. Next time we head upstate we will be heading straight to Livingston Manor. Highly highly recommend.

Bob and MarieAnn's cabin is amazing. You feel right at home as soon as you walk in. Lots of small little touches that make you feel welcome instantly. The place is really nice and has everything you need. Plus having access to the lake with canoes, kayaks, etc. is amazing. The lake is gorgeous. I highly recommend and I will definitely go back. The only downside is if another guest is using the unit besides it, you can hear pretty much everything. The walls are pretty thin, so hopefully you get a respectful neighbour, and you are respectful yourself.

Lovely setting, comfortable beds environment, and all tools to enjoy outdoors , barbecue and fire-pit. The only downside was difficulty finding the property. Street not listed on GPS and not very visible, and wifi is not great until you arrive inside-.its also a dirt road. Very close to all venues, like Bethel woods and fine dining.

This is our second time coming to the Cozy Cottage on the lake. Our stay was even more memorable than the first time and we loved all the new upgrades that were done with the house, making it even more special and easy to relax and take in the stunning home. Emmett and his family were again incredibly helpful and thoughtful—quick responses, clear instructions, and little touches that made the stay feel special. They even remembered we were coming for my dad’s birthday and made it even more memorable for him ;) The place was spotless, comfortable, and in a great location. The family takes pride in their home and it shows. Highly recommend!
