Farmstay vacation rentals in Sullivan County

We enjoyed the lovely cozy, private cottage with our family. It was a pleasure to have the animals nearby for the kids to interact with, a safe environment to roam in the woods, and very convenient to have the farm shop a few steps away for local eggs, meats, etc. The cottage was stylishly modern with a clean aesthetic and modern conveniences. Josh was very accessible via text/phone and checked in with us during our stay. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and would recommend to nature lovers, families, and those looking for a getaway in the woods!

This A-frame escape was exactly what I needed — the perfect break from the city. The place is beautifully designed, cozy, and filled with thoughtful touches. The jacuzzi was absolutely incredible, especially under the stars at night, and the A-frame structure made the whole stay feel like a peaceful retreat.

Close to Sullivan County Golf Club plenty of space and beautiful grounds behind the home. Plus John is so nice!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and peaceful getaway, just a short 2-hour drive from NYC. The place is beautifully laid out, quiet, and surrounded by nature, it really feels like a true escape. We especially loved spending our time playing board games, relaxing by the wood-burning stove, and listening to the birds each morning. One small suggestion to the host: consider installing an electronic lock for convenience, as it’s easy to accidentally leave the key inside. Also, adding a microwave would be a great bonus for quick meals. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

This was a great house for our 3-generation family (with dogs) get-together. Big rooms with places for the kids to play and space for them to run around. Huge kitchen! (Though we didn't cook much.) And the big dining table was able to fit us all easily. We enjoyed seeing the farm animals and the walk to the lake and around some trails. The yard is big and far enough away from the road to let our dogs chase balls safely. We missed the driveway our first time since it wasn't marked and the house didn't look like the photo from our direction (we came from the south and west on 52) but once we got to the lake side it was obvious. The owner lives nearby and was very responsive and friendly (including letting us into the edge of the farmyard to get a closer view of the animals). We hope to come again in the future.

We had such a great stay at Eugene’s place! The house was perfect for our group — spacious, comfortable, and full of fun things to do. We especially loved the private theatre, the hot tub, and especially the sauna — such a great touch! The volleyball net was a hit, and there were tons of games in the closet that kept us entertained. The kitchen was well-stocked and roomy enough for us to cook meals for our large group, and there were plenty of different areas to hang out in, everyone could find their own space to relax. The towels were plentiful (huge plus) and having access to the washer and dryer came in handy during our stay. Eugene was a fantastic host — super friendly, very responsive, and just really helpful all around. We also got to enjoy a few deer sightings right in the yard, which felt magical. We visited the nearby alpaca farm and did the Beer Mountain hike, which was a nice outing. All in all, a wonderful stay. Would absolutely come back. Thank you Eugene!

Had a lovely getaway from the city.. very peaceful. Just what I needed

This property is a wonderful place to stay. It is as described and communicating with Ellie and Martina couldn't be easier. Our group of 5 was there to fish the lake and enjoy a relaxing weekend. The fishing was great, multiple 2.5+ LB bass along with 4 or 5 other species of fish as well. It did rain one day while we were there, but the screened in porch was a nice place to hang out and play some cards while we waited out the weather. Everyone in our group enjoyed the stay and we'd highly recommend giving this property a chance. Martina even gave us fresh eggs from chicken coop which were delicious! Thanks to Martina and Ellie for letting us stay and we look forward to returning in the future.

We were staying with Eric for a wedding in honesdale. House was perfect for all the guests. House was cool inside even with the 90 degree heat. Clean, modern, cool set up. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to have a fire outside but it looked like a chill spot. Great restaurants close by, one in walking distance. Small liquor store right across the street with a nice selection. Neighbors are close but we didn’t bump into anyone. Would definitely like to stay again sometime.

It was a wonderful stay in such a cute town! We really appreciated the fact that it was pet friendly! My boyfriend especially loved the shampoo and conditioner that was in the shower- he said it smelled incredible. Also, the bed was incredibly comfortable. The power ended up going out (while we were at the wedding reception!) and Susanne was proactive and reached out to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back and would love to stay again when the time comes!

This was our third stay at this beautiful home, and once again, it was perfect! The view is absolutely stunning, and the space is always clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The host is incredibly responsive and helpful—communication is always quick and smooth. We truly feel at home every time we stay here. Highly recommended! ❤️

It was immediately clear upon our arrival that Matthew cares deeply that his guests enjoy their time at his home. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. The property is so idyllic and peaceful with so much great space for our city kids to play and explore. We had a great weekend playing in the grass and lounging at the pool. We've been to this area many times and Matthew stands out as a truly lovely host.

Our three generation family met at Kaethe's Mountain Dale home for a 5 day Thanksgiving weekend - there were 10 of us, including 4 children. The large kitchen and especially the large living room made it very comfortable to be inside cooking and playing games while we were there. There were lots of fun games to explore - our group really had fun playing Stratego with a vintage set. We woke up to several inches of snow on Thanksgiving morning - beautiful! The fireplace in the living room got a lot of use. We visited Mountain Dale (some of us even went dancing there one night at the Dale), and had two days of hiking: at Minnewaska State Park and also at a park along the Neversink River. It was a great trip in so many ways. Thanks, Kaethe.

The lodging was clean, quiet, and exactly as described.

Relaxing weekend at the cabin! Very dog friendly, very clean, comfortable, a couple miles to town, juke box was fun to pick out songs, Debra and Mike are on site to help with local recommendations or anything you need (complimentary wine!), grill was great to make dinner. Had a wonderful weekend!

Jeff’s home was a great place to stay. It was very close to town, easy to find, and plenty of room for everyone. It had great views and lots of outdoor space. We had many birds and wild life visiting which was charming. Jeff was an excellent host, very responsive and flexible with our checkout time. The hot tub shown on the listing was not working which was disappointing and the fire pit was unusable due to being full of water and wet ashes. Hopefully these amenities get fixed soon! We’re looking forward to coming back soon.

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend at Zach's house. The hot tub was a lovely added bonus. The kitchen and dining room space was perfect for our group of five to hang out and share some snacks. House was clean and as described in photos. Super close to cute restaurants, ice cream shops and shopping.

We cherished our time in the serene mountains, where every detail of the space was thoughtfully designed. Watching deer wander in the morning as we lounged was a peaceful delight, and the massage chair added a perfect touch. A special thanks to Trevonne for being such a wonderful host—your professionalism, kindness, and guidance truly made our stay special and perfectly suited to our needs during this difficult time of bereavement. We’re grateful for this peaceful retreat and highly recommend it to others.

This was a second stay at Chris's place because our family so enjoyed it the first time. Interestingly, our grandkids remembered it but had a completely different experience as they are older. This time they were old enough to enjoy the kayaks and paddle boards on Lake Huntington! And now there are foosball tournaments! We shared meals, campfire, games and laughs. Extremely well-equipped home for travelers. The spacious kitchen had everything from wine glasses to plastic dishes for outdoor dining & kids to an extensive collection of spices, teas, and an array of cutting boards. The house was even well-prepared for the seven-hour power outage we experienced due to a windstorm (plenty of wood for the stove-provided by the hosts-as well as battery-powered lamps and extra blankets). Though it would have been great if they'd had a back-up power generator. The house feels cozy and private, has beautiful views from the bathrooms and upstairs workspace, and it was fun exploring the expansive grounds. Communication with Christina was very good. The house is filled with thoughtful touches. Note that the upstairs bathroom has no door, though it does have visual privacy, and you have to go through the bedroom to which that bathroom is essentially connected to get to the master bedroom. Vegans will love Red Dot Cafe located in Wurtsboro, NY.

Hide & Sansan were A+ hosts! Their home is just beautiful, comfortable and pristine! We loved the scenic views & grilling on the patio. Hide & Sansan are very communicate and made it their business that our stay was 5 star!!! Would absolutely stay here again.

Stunning property and gorgeous house. This was the perfect place for my family during our wedding weekend in long Eddy. Nyneve was so friendly and flexible . She was also kind enough to let my husband and I extended our stay another few days. It was the perfect end to our wedding week. Thank you so much for having us ! We would come back anytime.
