Cottage vacation rentals in St. Ignace

The house looked exactly like the pictures! The house was very clean and updated. Our party of 7 had plenty of room to enjoy ourselves. The location was private, peaceful, and quiet. We were able to use to local pool access included with the stay, which my kids loved. The couch was very comfortable to relax on and enjoy TV and games. My kids loved the loft area where they could watch TV and play games. The kids room with bunk beds and another bed was a big hit! It was great to have a bathroom upstairs and downstairs. The fire pit area was nice and the deck was wonderful. We had a great stay!

Omg, I don’t have the words for how awesome this place is. First, it is exactly what you see in the pictures and more. Second, it’s not far from anything and third, it’s so peaceful. I could get lost in pure bliss there. Weather I was in the hot tub, the porch, at the table on the deck, the fire pit, the dock, or even just sitting on the beach collecting rocks. Absolute Heaven. I’ve even told the rest of my family that next time we go to Michigan, we’re going to Traverse City and we’re staying at this house. Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Anna’s cottage! It was the perfect peaceful sanctuary we were looking for. The property is charming, thoughtfully designed, and elegantly outfitted. The location offers a very private vibe tucked away in the woods while being being in the center of the peninsula and convenient to get around. Anna was a super friendly and helpful host, making sure we had a positive experience every step of the way. We are psyched to return for another retreat at this amazing cottage in the woods!

This cozy, quiet, very clean and homey space has become our favorite rental home of all we have rented. The personal touches really made us feel we were staying at a family or friend’s home. It had paper ware, seasonings, clean pots pans, coffee, zip lock bags, candles throughout the home. The bedding, pillows and towels were top notch. Not to mention the wonderful hot tub, kayaks, dock space, grill and fire pit. I will make mention the 2 bedroom are upstairs. 2 full bathrooms but bathroom upstairs next to bed rooms is a bathtub only. Mark was so pleasant and attentive to answer any of our questions and we look forward to a return trip.

We had a wonderful stay on Crooked Lake! The house was beautiful. Being right on the water was an incredible experience—watching swans, cranes, ducks, woodpeckers, and other birds made it feel like a peaceful retreat. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, and the fireplace added a cozy touch to our evenings. The hot tub was a highlight—we thoroughly enjoyed unwinding in it while taking in the serene surroundings. Marc and Mitch were excellent hosts, always responsive and helpful. When we encountered a plumbing issue, they immediately contacted a contractor to inspect and resolve it, which we truly appreciated. The location of the home was fantastic! It was close to several wonderful cities, allowing us to explore Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Forest Beach, Middle Village, Good Hart, Cross Village, and Mackinaw City. One of the best parts of our trip was driving the scenic Tunnel of Trees along the coastline—it was breathtaking!

We (and our dogs) had an amazing time at Nathan's beautiful home. The setting is ideal—the house is right on the water, the amenities are fantastic, and the neighborhood is beautiful and serene. The house has everything you would want. There is a sweet deck and outdoor area along with a dock and your own private beach—the next house in either direction is almost a half-a-mile away. The perimeter around the house is essentially fully-fenced, which allowed us to swim, paddle board, and hang outside with the pups without worries. Nathan is a great host: He checked in throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well. He provided clear instructions about the house and its features, as well as great local recommendations. We really can't say enough great things about our stay. It was by far the most peaceful and relaxing trip we've had and look forward to coming back soon!

We had a lovely time at Carlie's cabin. It is in a great peaceful location, right between Sleeping Bear Dunes, and 30 minutes to Traverse City, with lots of beautiful hikes all around. The cabin itself is rustic but very comfortable, and a perfect amount of space for a couple or small family. We would highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

If you are looking for a place to unplug and enjoy nature this is it. It is about an hour from the Soo, so just keep that in mind if you are needing anything. We came here to mountain bike and drove an hour into Sault Ste. Marie everyday and it was honestly no issue. We came here to bike and relax, so the location was perfect for the relaxation part. Just a walk across the road is the waterfront where we were able to catch the sunrise. Arlen's family is lovely, his parents live next door and sell freshly baked bread that his dad will deliver to you next day. There were three humans, our dogs and cat that stayed here and there was more than enough room. The bunkie is perfect for someone wanting some privacy, it is basically a cozy bedroom. Place is clean and as described. Lots of towels and linen provided. There are board games and Netflix. The only thing I will say is that although the water is potable, it did have a weird taste to it, so I ended up buying water. 100% would recommend.

House was very comfortable and easy for my elderly mother to get around. The handicap ramp and large bedroom and bathroom on the main floor made it possible for her enjoy the weekend. Road noise was not a problem once inside the house. The house was very organized and well equipped with everything we needed. We chose this place because we were traveling with a small dog and they even had dog supplies handy, leashes and paw wipes, right by the front door. The communication with the host was also amazing.

I would absolutely recommend the wet nest to anybody. Tracey was an amazing host and always in contact with me on everything. the place was exactly like it was described and we had an incredible time. thank you, Tracey

This is our second time staying at Laurie’s Airbnb and we love it. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the winter wonderland up there. Laurie is very communicative and very helpful. The place is comfy and we love that we can bring our dogs!

This location and house are amazing. The views from the crowsnest were a bonus. This is the place to be if one is fortunate enough to stay there when northern lights would be visible (the ever-present clouds over Canada prevented us from being so lucky). Monitoring an aurora site and marine traffic app is a must. I am so thankful that the steepness of the stairs was clear so that I was able to block them (pizza boxes from Superior Pizza came in handy) so that my curious pup could not try to go up - he would have definately gotten hurt trying to do so because of his size and how his pads would slide on the painted wood. Also, because we travel with our dog we routinely bring our own sheets, blankets and pillows to use on top of those provided at rentals I have to do something with all decorative pillows - this place has plenty. The ledges in the bedroom closets are a brilliant solution to living out of a suitcase! Loved this place

Loved our stay! The cottage was clean, cozy, and perfectly located by the lake. We enjoyed kayaking during the day and barbecuing in the evening. No staff on-site, but everything was well-managed and smooth. A peaceful, private retreat—highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and recharge in nature.

Quiet and peaceful. Very spacious. Plenty of living area inside and out. Access to garage was a big plus for bike storage. Neighbor who owned lakefront property was awesome. He initiated contact with us and offered use and access to lakefront. we really enjoyed our stay. Great location for Mackinaw tourist stuff.

We stayed for work and couldn't be happier with the cabin. it was super cozy and comfortable. The rooms offered plenty of privacy for us. The GPS wasn't taking us to the right spot but the signs made it clear. The hosts were amazing and very flexible with our stay.

First of all the location is just mind blowing. So quite and so private. Access to almost private beach. The cottage was cozy and had all the basic amenities that one would need for a small vacation with family. Whatever query we had Alec always responded within a few minutes. Was very happy with this stay. The only thing i would point out is that the exterior of the place needs a little cleaning and maintenance and i wish the kitchen had a little more utensils but thats about it. The lake is right across the street but not the best spot for bathing as its full of stones and too shallow but still beautiful to just sit and relax.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, tidy and cozy. The back deck was great and we enjoyed sitting out there watching the water. We like to cook so all of the lovely appliances were a bonus. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is visiting the area.

We really enjoyed staying at Dave and Marcia’s cottage. It was super clean, had all the amenities we needed and was really comfortable. Located on the water with an amazing view….we couldn’t have been happier!! The hosts were very friendly and provided us with a 5 star Airbnb experience. We would love to stay there again and highly recommend to others.

This place was great! Incredible setting with a beautiful view of the lake and a comfy cabin vibe. The fire pit and the kayaks made everyday very enjoyable and helped us feel right at home. Marc was very helpful and we would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away and unwind!

Great place for a family of 4. lots to do around or just sit by or in the lake. Wrap around porch and open living space with lots of windows overlooking the lake through a thin line of trees.

Our stay was beyond perfect! It was exactly what we were looking for, quiet, peaceful and private. We enjoyed the views of the lake, and the wildlife. Having the kayaks available was an added plus. We highly recommend this location and this cottage. We will be back next year. Thank you Gary, for everything.
