Farmstay vacation rentals in Southern France

What a gem of a place and hosts! We traveled to quite a few places during our 2.5 week trip through Europe, and this was by far our favorite stay. Located in the Luberon Valley in the medieval town of Ménerbes, Provence, you only had to look outside of your window to see the vibrant purple shades of the blooming summer lavenders and lavandines. The stay was well appointed with everything you’d need, and the private courtyard provided breathtaking views of the valleys and nearby mountains. The town and stay are rich in history - you’ll enjoy learning about it from hosts Maria and Francois, who are absolutely delightful. A beautiful breakfast of local fresh fruits, pastries, eggs and yogurt was provided, which gave us enough fuel for a long day of walking and sightseeing. My favorite part of it all were the conversations we had with Maria and Francois over breakfast - they’re quite charming and funny; we exchanged stories of our lives and travels. Highly recommend this stay!

Unique. Very nicely located, quiet, direct access to the sea or 5 min to the sandy beach Renécros. Very pleasant and fast communication with Sébastien. Only: I am 190 tall, the beds above the ship's ladder are a lesson in humility with 170 cm ceiling height. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

we loved our stay with Tracey. The spot was so relaxing, and unique overlooking the vineyard. Truly one of the best airbnbs we have stayed in. Private, yet an easy walk to the town.

As a family with kids on our first trip to Barcelona, we had a long list of things we had planned doing.. That had to change, the kids loved the pool so much and we loved everything else in the house and surrounding area. Just perfect for families.

One of the most beautiful places we have stayed in Switzerland with amazing views of the lake and mountains. Given that it is nestled in a secluded area to get such views, it would be best to drive . Also, the house is pretty much an open concept (i.e no curtains or doors segregating the bedrooms and kitchen) but we didn't mind it one bit and it was great for a family stay! House was big and well equipped and it was very convenient to get around to all the iconic tourists attractions (being 30 min drive away to almost everywhere - Oeschinensee, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen). We brought along our 2-year old maltipoo and the surrounding areas was perfect for morning walks to take in the fresh air and amazing scenery.

Myriam and Nicolas were wonderful hosts and made us feel extremely welcome in their wonderful home. The accommodation was extremely spacious and comfortable, even more so than can be conveyed in the photos. I highly recommend for a peaceful and relaxing trip.

A perfect place to hide away in plain view in Provence. Right in the middle of the stunning town of Menerbes. Steps away from all the restaurants and the curated epicerie. Although pricey, definitely worth it. Maison O was exactly how we imagined it to be. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Beds extremely comfortable and bathrooms with excellent showers which were definitely needed since the day time temperature never went below 30 for the whole week. Apropos that. A little more shade for the terrace would have been much appreciated. Although there is no AC the interior rooms stayed coolish if all doors and windows were kept closed. The whole experience was fabulous. Our favourite evening activity after the heat of the mid day was a stroll to Cafe Progres, purchasing an Apéritif and sitting on their terrace overlooking the valley. A light breeze to cool us down and a chat with the locals. It really was the quintessential experience in Provence. We would not hesitate to return.

Thanks again for this stay in an ideal setting, in the middle of the vineyards! The accommodation is very pleasant, a little dark, but very cool for hot days! The equipment is beyond what you would expect, and Olivier's tips are very good for discovering the region. Olivier and Hiroko are very thoughtful hosts, it's a pleasure. When we left, we only had one desire: to return!

Attentive, these are the terms that can be used for this accommodation. An unusual place, quiet, with all the comforts possible especially the bedding, and the small stove! A cozy bathroom, half indoor, half outdoor (discretion in nature). Everything was thought out by Linday and her husband to be able to disconnect in the bubble but have access to electricity thanks to the bathroom area! This short romantic stay was refreshing, I highly recommend it and I will gladly come back!

A magical interlude with the foxes and especially the adorable Kitsu. Very beautiful decoration of the Lodge. The caregivers were welcoming. We were able to see the Kansas pony and also the llama, alpacas, cow and sheep. We will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Angelo in Canale. The location is close to great restaurants, charming villages and outstanding wineries. Angelo even invited us to join a party he was hosting at his winery- we really felt welcomed by Angelo and his friends.

I thought these houses only existed in the movies! Access to the accommodation is not easy, basically because you cannot access it by car, but it is worth every step you have to take to get to this paradise surrounded by nature and in a wonderful environment... we had not yet left and we already wanted to return. In addition, communication with Katja was unbeatable, and she gave us the best advice to get there with our baby and in the most comfortable way possible. Thank you Katja for sharing your fantastic house with us.

We had an incredible time at casetta nel bosco to start off our honeymoon! Giulia is so lovely, and incredibly thoughtful. It looks exactly like the pictures, except you will have to pinch yourself to remind yourself it’s real! We loved the sauna on the third floor and used it multiple times throughout our visit. Giulia set the bar in terms of hosting- she had snacks waiting for us on arrival, and because we arrived after restaurants, she had some pasta and sauce we could make. We were greeted with fresh pastries each morning as well. Don’t hesitate to stay here and get the peace and quiet you want. Wish we could give more than 5 stars and we can’t wait to come back. We truly enjoyed staying in Maria’s wonderful home. She was very helpful and communicative and provided clear instructions for getting to the house. We would absolutely stay here again!

The house is really perfect for a break from everyday life with friends, ideally located and very well furnished. It is clear that the construction of the house was done with the well-being of future vacationers in mind. I have absolutely nothing to complain about, even without having seen the otters! We were lucky enough to meet Gertjan who is really kind and available, and we had Helena by message who is just as nice and responsive. We will come back without hesitation!

Our stay was absolutely lovely! The space is exactly as pictured and advertised. We used the pools, games, and enjoyed private space. Although the property is connected to the family’s private home, you feel secluded and privacy while safe knowing you’re close to them as locals - they did an incredible job designing the space. This spot is the perfect location to explore Provence. Morgane had great recommendations and set us up for a wonderful trip. Cucuron and Ansouis are within 5 miles and perfect for food or pastries. The peacefulness, opportunity for adventure inside and outside the property, and Morgane’s attentiveness make this one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at. Would highly recommend this beautiful property!

Our stay at the cabin was absolutely amazing for us family of 4. The setting is peaceful and private, with stunning views that made it feel like a true escape. The cabin itself was spotless and cosy and solidly built. We especially enjoyed peace and quiet and lying on the sofa looking across at the big mountains on the over side of the valley. This hut is well equipped with good quality cooking facities, equipment and knives, and we appreciate the soldar handsoap and the washing up liquid. The host was responsive and made everything easy from start to finish. It’s close to great hiking spots and a nearby town with a shop, yet still feels secluded. We left feeling refreshed and restored and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this gem in the mountains.

The outside areas of the property are as comfortable as the inside. All the rooms are spacious and clean. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped for preparing meals. There is every piece of equipment you would need. There was plenty of hot water and the fire was a lovely addition for chilly evenings. There are also lots of kitchen supplies to get you started or bathroom necessities in case you forgotten anything. The garden isn't fenced but this didn’t cause us any issues with our dogs. The protection dogs across the road are secured behind fences and didnt cause us any problems. We found them very friendly once you'd be there for a couple of days. We would definitely recommend staying here, Valerie is delightful.

We had a very nice vacation. The apartment has flair and is really fully equipped. The location in the vineyards is very quiet. The many animals put you on a farm and in the garden you can relax wonderfully. Albert and Christine are always available and helpful but also discreet. All in all, one of the best apartments we've ever had and highly recommended.

Had a wonderful stay, really enjoyed our visit and how quiet and peaceful the location was. The hosts were very friendly and responsive! The house is pretty and has a spacious outdoor space. Country side location, that offers privacy but still a close drive to beach towns. Typical Spanish country house, with modern updates. Keep in mind you have to climb some steep stairs for upstairs bedroom. Living area, kitchen, and beds were very comfortable. Gracias por todo!
