Castle vacation rentals in Southern France

We had a wonderful stay at Château de Monciaux. We were 12 adults, 5 infants and 3 children and there was plenty of space for all of us. They were even able to accommodate our request for 5 high chairs and 5 cots, which came in very handy. Agnès was incredibly helpful during our stay and responded quickly to our enquiries, even dropping by in person one day to help sort something out. I would definitely recommend this place to any large groups!

We had a great time at this beautiful mansion, spacious, bright and warm. Its cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for hosting people or for a family stay. Despite a view of factories across the street, with continuous smoke and a little noise, we were fully satisfied with the standard offered. The interior design is a clever mix of old charm and modernity, which brings a lot of character to the place. We strongly recommend this mansion. It would certainly be even more pleasant in summer, especially to enjoy the pool. Again, thank you for this great experience!

Wow. The pics don't do justice to this place. It's a real medivel castle, well preserved, full of history and art. I had no idea the village, the castle itself and everything in it would be so impressive. Adria was beyond helpful and I think this is the most authentic, impressive property I've been to.

We had a wonderful time in the idyllic apartment of Christiane and Bernard. Everything was as described, the generous space and the unique views even exceeded our expectations. The hosts are particularly friendly and helpful and responded to our questions within a very short time. The place is the perfect base for exploring the surroundings, which are rich in attractions and sights. We only regret that we do not speak French, we would have liked to talk longer with the charming hosts😉.

This place is a true labour of love and testament to Eric&Remy's skill and expertise. An impressive castle, with carefully selected furniture that matches the rooms and a garden that one couldn't get enough of - absolutely beautiful, and with interesting bits to explore everywhere. If you love antiques, gardening, history, this is the place for you. Eric&Remy couldn't have been more lovely and helpful. Thank you for a beautiful stay!!

Hands down THE BEST Airbnb stay for my family and I. We meticulously chose this chateau to celebrate a family reunion, and planned it 2 years in advance. The minute I contacted Vince to inquire about the place + its surroundings I knew this was going to be a spectacular place to be—and it was nothing short of that. From the fairytale castle, to its royal decor, furniture, amenities and gardens to Vincent’s special tour of the place when we arrived, matched with a delightful welcome gift, my family was astounded and happy every day. The quaint storybook towns just as described within a half hour drive, Bordeaux within the hour, to winery chateaus and Paris available by train and car, we literally drove through a postcard and enjoyed the beautiful scenery at the castle for 2 magical weeks. This place was everything we wanted and needed to lift our spirits and create the most wonderful memories! Thank you, Vincent for being the most incredible host with the most incredible place!

We had a great time at Sophie's place. We particularly enjoyed the rooms all with bathrooms, the outdoors, the pool and the spa. The environment was extremely quiet.

The apartment was absolutely lovely. I would highly recommend this apartment. It is in a wonderful location. It is somewhat difficult to access and you need the assistance of the hosts if you have a car. This is because many of the residential roads are blocked off unless you have a pass. . The hosts are wonderful and very accommodating. Again, I would recommend this apartment to anyone.

Château Le Grave is a beautiful property and was a wonderful choice for our group holiday. We had a lovely stay and found the house very comfortable. The photos don’t quite do it justice—it’s even more charming in person. The kitchen is well-equipped, which made cooking for our group easy and enjoyable. There were a few small issues that affected the overall experience. There wasn’t quite enough toilet paper provided for the weekend, the pool area didn’t have lighting at night, and we encountered an electrical issue that we needed to resolve ourselves. I noticed similar mentions in past reviews, so it may be worth addressing these for future guests. Communication with the host could have been more positive. There was some confusion regarding the cleaning fee, which had already been included in the booking total, and we were asked to pay extra for a few broken glasses, which seemed inexpensive to replace. That said, the property itself is truly lovely and we had a great time.

Certainly one of the most beautiful accommodations I could ever stay in. The remodeling of the orangie has been masterfully successful, the kitchen is wonderful and the location is wonderfully quiet. Pure relaxation. Jitske and Matthew are also warm hosts. — Certainly, this was not the last stay.

A wonderful stay. Maud was the local contact and extremely helpful and friendly to deal with. We loved the home and it was beautiful, clean and well equipped. The location is in a quaint small village. Perfect for a calm, quiet break. It’s a bit away from anything though so if you need groceries or want to go somewhere it’s at least 25minutes to do that. Overall still a wonderful visit

A beautiful, quiet place, close to a city that deserves to be discovered. The place is very peaceful and relaxing, and makes you want to stay there to read a book in one of the lounges or jump in the pool rather than visit Loches, which has so much to show. The rooms are large, well furnished and the bedding is of very good quality, which, combined with the tranquility of the place, adds rest to the charm.

We had a very pleasant stay in the chateau! The place is very beautifully renovated and decorated. Its extremely spacious and all rooms were very clean. The garden is also great for kids to play. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back!

We spent 3 wonderful days with friends in this beautiful estate! Frédérique is an available, attentive and very kind host. The mansion is perfect for recharging, enjoying the park and pool in complete tranquility. We'll be happy to go back!

Absolutely beautiful place! The house and pool are gorgeous and so well-equipped. It's in a quiet location but there is a lovely small town 10 mins away. We would stay again!

It was a real pleasure to stay in the lavender gite in the grounds of the chateau Michael's renovating. What made our stay special was the warm and friendly hospitality from Michael and his friend Gabi, and the beautiful gardens he's created around the gites, the chateau and the swimming pool. It was a bit too chilly to use the pool in our stay, but it looked very inviting in better weather!

Excellent stay for our family reunion. The setting is ideal (large swimming pool, ping pong, large garden...). Only small downside it would be nice to add an extra table for the outside as well as chair cushions. We'll be back!!!!!

We had a lovely time staying here for two nights. It was easy to get here from Nîmes and Claude was very responsive. The space looked just like the photos, very beautiful.

We have been very comfortable in the castle. Everything is very well maintained and Cristina and Gabriel are charming. We'll be back for sure!

A beautiful two bedroom apartment in a historical Villa surrounded by a French style garden which we absolutely loved! We were welcomed by Damien and felt right at home in the flat. We loved big windows, lots of light, and attention to detail that Damien demonstrated by decorating a Christmas tree for us and preparing a welcome gift - some candies. The bathroom in the main bedroom is spacious and beautifully designed. We especially loved the combination of traditional elements and modernity, such as electric stove that looked like a traditional 19th century one. A fireplace is another great feature. It makes you feel like being in a French chateau. All in all, a great stay in a great place with kind and welcoming host. We can highly recommend the flat and Damien!

We had a fantastic time at Suzanna’s place. It’s an absolutely beautiful setting with nice views out of the chateau and lovely swimming pool. We stayed for a week with our kids and their grandparents and all had a great time. Suzanna herself was extremely responsive and accommodating. We actually had an issue with another booking for which I was awaiting a refund before booking last minute. Suzanna was extremely helpful and accommodated us last minute and we absolutely lucked out with it being such a nice place.

Halim's place is superb - as advertised - spacious & clean. We only spent one night as we were passing through, enroute to the French Riviera but it was a special one: our 25th anniversary! Halim made it extra special with small thoughtful gestures :-) We only had one regret: that we couldn't stay longer to enjoy the lovely accommodation & amazing amenities! Would be happy to recommend to family & friends and hope to come back again one day! Merci beaucoup Halim!
