Kid-friendly vacation rentals in South Oxfordshire District

We really enjoyed our stay and were made to feel very welcome. It was great to be able to wander down the garden and sit peacefully by the Thames. Michael and his wife Sue were very hospitable and even brought us fresh eggs for our breakfast.

We spent an enjoyable 3 weeks in this very old cottage which has been tastefully and sympathetically restored keeping its original low beams and features. Sydenham is a charming Oxfordshire village very close to the Chilterns. It’s an ideal place to explore from. There are lovely walks and views. It’s an easy drive to the market town of Thame and other thatched villages, many of which appear in Midsomer Murders. The Crown opposite provides pub meals and has a lovely garden.

This is an ideal studio apartment for single person/couple with double bed, basic well appointed kitchen and bathroom/shower. Although incorporated physically in the larger house it has its own side passage entrance and sitting out area and is well soundproofed for maximum privacy. The surrounding countryside is on the doorstep for beautiful walks and Didcot is a short drive away for a wide range of shopping options and transport links, particularly rail. Phil is a genial and responsive host and we had a perfect stay.

I love Goring and going to the George Michael celebration the past 2 yrs. Deb’s place was a block away from where I wanted to be. Totally walkable location. The home itself was tidy, clean and just like the photos. I would definitely stay again.

Het is een heerlijk verrassend plekje met een schitterende tuin èn zwembad, we hadden het geluk dat het mooi weer was dus ik heb iedere ochtend gezwommen, heerlijk!! De keuken, waar ook twee stoeltjes en een tafeltje staan is wat klein maar als je niet zoveel buiten kunt zitten dan kun je ook boven in de gezellige ruime slaapkamer zitten! Bed is prima, fijne badkamer en ook de keuken is compleet. Georgina en Alex zijn enorm aardig en gastvrij, als het je aan iets ontbreekt dan zullen ze er alles aan doen om het te regelen voor je! We had a wonderful few days. We do like outdoor space, so booking the riverside cabin with the cottage makes for a perfect combination especially in warm weather. We have never stayed in such a spotless Airbnb. We will be back as this is a perfect base for us, close to family and Heathrow (we live abroad). The owner was super generous and made our stay special. There is traffic noise, but this is clearly mentioned in the listing so we came prepared - airline earplugs.

We hadden een geweldige tijd in het prachtige appartement van James waar ons aan niets ontbrak, heel gezellig, comfortabel en met oog voor detail. Rustig gelegen, lekker fris niettegenstaande de hoge temperatuur buiten, en op wandelafstand van een mooi middeleeuws stadje aan de Thames, waar de jaarlijkse regatta al in volle voorbereiding was, een unieke belevenis.

I stayed at Francesca’s place for a week while I was in Oxford to attend my course module. It’s a great location with plant of restaurants and shops near by. It was an easy walk for me to get to Computer Science department for the regular classes. I really appreciated how responsive and proactive Francesca was throughout my stay. The place was clean and had everything that I needed.

I LOVE staying here! Everything is just so perfect and easy. Tom and Jenny are fantastic hosts and communicate so well. The space is so clean and tidy and has been well thought through and looked after. Can’t wait to stay again, of all the places I stay when travelling for work this is my favourite AirBnB.

We came to Oxford because my daughter had to have an operation and when we got there it was like traveling from home to home. The flat was clean and tidy and felt homely. The flat was a walk away from the hospital. Umu always communicated with us and if there was anything we needed she was just a message away. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

Mark and Lesley were wonderful hosts -- very responsive and helpful without being overbearing. The apartment was very clean, cozy, and light-filled (when the English weather cooperates.) It feels bigger in person than the pictures might suggest and has everything you need, including a combination washer/dryer. I stayed for around a month and found it to be a comfortable and peaceful spot. The walk along the river from the nearby New Hinksey park was a highlight. For me it took about 20 minutes to get to Christ Church (closer to 30 to get to the Weston Library), but I am a slow walker. It is a nice walk and there are convenient buses if needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Cute, quiet space out in nature. All was as advertised and a nice spot to spend the night. Particularly liked that it was over the garage, so we didn’t have to worry about our toddler crying or making noise throughout the night. Bathroom is down a fairly steep set of stairs - so if mobility is an issue that might be a challenge.

I had another wonderful stay here. It’s such a beautiful, clean and well-equipped place. Anna and Glen have thought of everything their guests might need and they made me feel very welcome. Thank you!

I was staying for a party in the area, so needed to drop my car early and check in late in the evening, which was readily accommodated. The space itself was a very nice, clean and well set up annexe. The bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchen set up for cooking if needed - with a fridge. All in all I was delighted, would have been perfect if I'd needed a few days away for work too.

Great location and perfect accommodations for our 2 night stay. Easy to walk to pubs and restaurants and shopping nearby. Parking available at the house was key for us.

This place truly made me feel right at home. absolutely incredible place and it is extremely clean. The flat was nestled in a peaceful yet convenient location right. The hospitality is incredible. free chips and wine what more can one ask for.

Fantastic accommodation! Comfortable, cozy, very clean and well-maintained, perfect for business stays or medium/long-term visits. I stayed in this accommodation for a long-term stay and needed a space with a kitchen. The apartment truly has everything you need and more – it's very functional and equipped with thoughtful touches that make the stay really pleasant. The kitchenette and the kitchen area in general are perfect even for one person and well equiped. It's located in a convenient area, close to green spaces and the river, and just a few minutes’ walk from the city center. Supermarkets are nearby. Cathy is truly an exceptional host, always available for any need, very communicative, and quick to respond if anything comes up. A super positive experience – highly recommended, even for long stays.

Susan’s apartment was perfect for what we needed. Spacious, excellent condition and great location for not visiting nearby friends and walking to town.

Loved my stay in this beautiful apartment on first floor of a secure building. Very central for exploring the town. Plenty of cafes and restaurants along with independent shops and beautiful scenery. Everything in the apartment was as described and better. Beds, bedding and towels were top quality. Bedrooms are spacious. Great to sit at the window overlooking the square. Left our car in allotted car parking space during our few days stay. So easy to walk everywhere. Sian was a great host and we knew we could contact her if need be. All instructions were very clear and local recommendations helpful. We would highly recommend Sian’s place. We would definitely return if in this area.

Nice little annex - everything you need. Peaceful location and Andy was really friendly and approachable.
