Set in a peaceful garden with a pond, this cob house would suit travelers interested in natural Earth building.Built originally to house a stone mill, the cob house still mills fresh flour when unoccupied. Perfect for a couple and a roll out mattress can be provided for a child or third person.This abode is for the adventurous with it's composting toilet and small solar geyser. There is a pizza oven you can use with fresh flour when the miller is home. 'Artists cottage' is on the same property.

Numbi Valley, a magical Permaculture Farm

Numbi Valley is a wonderful example of off-grid sustainable living. There is one private guest cottage on the farm and Kath and Ross welcome you to enjoy their uniquely created space. There are abundant organic gardens, a spring fed fresh water plunge pool with amazing views, all in a very beautiful and peaceful valley in the klein karoo countryside. Off-grid eco cottage situated on a working regenerative farm in the heart of the Overberg, with panoramic views towards Walker Bay and the Kleinriviersberg mountains. Surrounded by fynbos and vineyards, this cottage has pure spring fed water, a wood fired hot tub, solar power so is not affected by load shedding. Guests are welcome to wander around the farm, swim and fish in the dams, and meander through the veggie gardens We regret no babies, children or pets are allowed for safety reasons.
