Lake house vacation rentals in Slidell

We traveled to New Orleans to celebrate our son's graduation and Rachels place on the bayou was perfect! Everything was exactly as pictured. We enjoyed the gorgeous ride in with all the spanish moss covered trees and even saw a few gators. Rachel was very responsive to messages and quickly added a night for us (we just weren't ready to leave). 10/10 recommend.

This was the perfect location for our stay. The cabin was clean and peaceful. We walked to the lake behind the property and enjoyed the front porch view.

Precious place! Had all amenities that made it feel like your personal weekend getaway. Had a swarm of flying termites come in during the night but no one has control over Mother Nature. Large yard to accommodate boat & truck. Will definitely be back!

This was such a beautiful home that was so cozy and comfy! Extremely pleased with the choice to stay here. Friendly hosts, beautiful space, just all around a great place to stay.

Thank you for a great stay! Everything was so comfortable and clean! The amenities were amazing! Kitchen and Bathroom were stocked with everything you need and more! We had fun playing basketball and corn hole. Lots of games to choose from too. My favorite part was coffee on the deck every morning. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to do. We hope to be back soon!

The place was absolutely beautiful! We had the best time not only at the house but with people who were staying in the neighborhood! Everyone was friendly and fun to be around. I recommend going to Jody’s snow and ice down the road, it was amazing as well! Overall a great experience and great host!

We had the best time experiencing the natural and urban cultures in the bayou! Henry’s place is amazing, clean, comfortable, spacious, tastefully decorated and fun! Crabbing, fishing, hot tubbing, cooking and relaxing in…and venturing into NOLA was so easy with so much to explore …and a day beach trip to Bay St. Louis was a nice surprise with gorgeous and clean white sandy beaches for miles and a cute seaside town. What a gem of a spot! A perfect blend of relaxation and exploration! The perfect family adventure!

Fantastic spot! Great house, great location, great host! I came with some friends from New Orleans for my 40th Birthday weekend. On Benjamin’s recommendation we rented a pontoon boat from Costal Pontoon Rentals and had dinner at the Jourdan River Steamer and it was, quite literally, absolutely perfect! House was clean, neighbors were nice, beds were comfy. Easy check in/check out. The only things I would note are: 1) if you have mobility limitations then this house would be difficult for you (lots of stairs); and, 2) bring extra pillows if you’re using the bunks (they are awesome bunks, all doubles/queens and the mattresses were so comfy, but we only had one pillow each- though they were long and comfy pillows and there weren’t enough of us for that to be a problem, so this is just an fyi). Loved this spot and we’re already planning our next stay! Absolutely loved it. <3

Was an amazing place would highly recommend

David and Cassondra were very gracious and set the house up for a good time. My sons fished every morning and every evening. We caught crabs in the traps daily. Plenty of tackle and bait shops nearby. It was a 25 minute drive into downtown New Orleans. So the best of both worlds. The house was stocked with spices and condiments. Really enjoyed our stay and recommend it with 5 stars ⭐️

My family and I were looking for a good place to meet up and have some family time. Stephen’s place was great and met all of our needs. We enjoyed the outdoor space and the inside was great as well, plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy. I would definitely come back and repeat!

If you are looking for the perfect getaway, this place offers all the bells and whistles. Let me start by saying our host Chris was unbelievable. He offered some of the best customer service I have ever received. Anytime we needed anything, he responded immediately. The house itself was amazing.The pictures don’t do it justice. The house itself offers a huge living room and kitchen. But the best part of the inside of the house, would have to be the master suite which is enormous. But by far and away the best feature of the house was the pool. It was like your own private resort pool and you had it all to yourself. The pool had lights, waterfall, and a swim up bar. The outside area had plenty of comfortable seating. It also had a great place to grill and an ice machine that made ice shaped like a top hat. It also offered a dock in a no wake zone to tie your boat up. Overall this place was amazing. This was one of the best family vacations we had, and we will definitely be back!

Great place to stay with a boat. We had a great time crabbing and fishing. Great restaurant and bar right down the river with abundant wildlife. The house had everything a person could ever need to have a great time. Even had crab pots and crab cooker ready for us. Covered boat parking was fantastic for the few showers we had come through. Will absolutely book here again for more adventures and great family memories.

Our stay was great. It’s a bit off the beaten path. My kids loved looking for gators and other wildlife out back. It’s in the swamp so expect some bugs to be around, but nothing that isn’t manageable! Loved the place and would stay here again and recommend to others! Brandi was a very responsive host as well

Our group of 16 enjoyed the fishing, watching the alligator, using the kayaks and paddle boards and swimming in the pool! The new pool was ready the day we arrived. The back porch was our favorite place to hang out. The owner was very responsive with any questions or concerns. We would stay again!

The accommodations felt like home away from home. The Stewarts thought about every detail, and the amenities were the same as if you were at your own home. This thoughtful detail is vital due to the distance to the nearest store. I would rent this home again and again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Absolutely one of the best places I have stayed! The house was spotless! Clean everything! Yes they live there on occasion but It felt just like home! I couldn’t have asked for a nicer/ cleaner place! Although the home is lived in and may have a few dings here and there from the dogs it is up to date with everything! AMAZING PORCH! With dog gate! IT IS A DOG FRIENDLY PLACE! And I absolutely love that! It was fairly close to everything you needed. But far enough out no one was bothering you. I’m funny where I stay and the cleanliness of a place I lay my head but this DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Yes it is a double wide trailer but it feels just like a home! I would say it is a very safe place!

Our stay at The Gator Den was perfect! The Airbnb was exactly as described. It was clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of air conditioning with the hot weather. We had a wonderful time and it was a spot we would book again.

Home Was Amazing I loved everything about it! If i Could Rate This A Million Times I Would ♥️ Spencer was a great host!!
