Cottage vacation rentals in Sierra Nevada

This Airbnb was perfect for visiting Yosemite National Park! We had space for our dogs to walk right outside the place + it was toddler friendly. The glass dishes were up high out of his reach. :) The spot was clean + included a washer + dryer & hot tub. Great stay!

Absolutely must book! This place is a gem. We spent most of our trip at the cottage and loved it. It is private and beautiful. Janna and Don are the best hosts, loved talking to them and they made our trip amazing. You can really tell how much they care about their property and guests. This was our favorite trip and my family couldn’t stop talking about how nice Don and Janna were! Can’t wait to come back and see the lovely Japanese maple trees in the fall!

We had a wonderful stay on our way up to Sequoia and King’s Canyon, and only wish we had longer to enjoy the beautiful creek, soak in the hot tub, and try the delicious sounding breakfast nearby. Still it was a peaceful spot to unwind after a long drive and prepare for our outdoor weekend, and we loved the care and details throughout. The cottage had everything we needed and more. It was just my boyfriend, pup, and me this time, but we could book with friends in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Luisa’s beautiful cottage! The space truly feels like a little slice of paradise—peaceful, bright, and thoughtfully designed. Luisa was incredibly friendly and responsive throughout our visit, which made everything easy and welcoming. It was so nice to lay out by the pool and enjoy the sunshine, surrounded by beautiful flowers and lush foliage. The natural light pouring into the cottage during the day is lovely, though it can make for an early wake-up if you’re sensitive to brightness. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend staying here!

Ellen's cottage was lovely, surrounded by redwoods. It was a bit tricky finding it mostly due to the navigation. We called Ellen to help find it and she responded quickly and was very nice and helpful. It seems out of the way, but it is actually centrally located. Driving into the driveway, required some care and would have been challenging if we had a giant car, but with our regular size vehicle it was manageable and so worth it. The back yard is so peaceful and tranquil. Very comfortable. Highly recommend it and hope to return again.

What a lovely, peaceful retreat! Friendly dogs and livestock, beautiful plants and trees filled with singing birds and a beautifully maintained ranch for your enjoyment. On top of that, a wonderful house and host who makes sure all of your needs are taken care of. I highly recommend this place!

We loved our stay here. Bill was extremely sweet and kind. He even provided a lovely tray of coffee for us in the morning. The space was clean and quiet. The location was perfect for a relaxing end to our day. Would recommend!

This place was fantastic! Located on a quiet hillside, it offers a peaceful and relaxing environment. It’s about a 1-hour drive to Yosemite and only 20 minutes to downtown, which was convenient. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, with all the amenities you could need. The bathroom was also large and very comfortable. Overall, a great stay — highly recommended!

This cottage is a little gem in a desirable part of the city. The upstairs sleeping loft is spacious and well laid out with plenty of closet and drawer space. We loved the thoughtful touches like high-quality coffee, a bottle of wine, extra sheets and towels, and attractive decor and books. Host Johnny was very responsive to our questions about the heating unit and fixed it right away. Not a problem for the physically agile, but guests should be aware that the outdoor side entrance is maybe 24 inches wide, and that the steep loft stairs are necessary to navigate to use the bathroom. Overall, a wonderful stay with a kind and thoughtful host!

Adorable home in the heart of Nevada City. Perfect for a short girls trip while visiting my aunt who is a longtime resident of Nevada City and also celebrating her birthday. The decor is right up our alley. We have driven by this place so many times, wanting to stay the night and it finally happened. Host is very proactive with emails and instructions. We hope to stay at her other location in the future as that is our other frequent vacation destination.

Fish Creek Cottage was lovely! I loved sitting down by the creek and enjoying the day. It’s just a short walk to Murphys Main Street and the weather was perfect. Comfy bed, had everything I needed and was overall a relaxing stay. The cottage is a little hard to see in the dark so I would suggest arriving the sun goes down. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Amazing stay! Very peaceful, beautifully surrounded by nature, nice and quiet. Very spacious and super clean, great for travelers with dogs. Only advice: bring a flashlight as it gets very dark at night and it will help if you have to take the pups out around the vicinity and/or if you arrive late at night.

My spouse and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend with our two dogs. It is such a peaceful, relaxing spot and our dogs really enjoyed being able to explore the yard (which was entirely fenced). We had nice weather and used the grill for dinner both nights which was great. The cows and pigs were around as well and we fed them treats that were provided - so fun! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay with beautiful surroundings.

Jennifer's Hidden Cottage is the perfect place to chill and unwind. It was peaceful, quiet, walkable and near the beautiful Morro Bay. I came back home thoroughly relaxed from my time spent in her little cottage :)

We felt right at home at this airbnb. It is well equipped with kitchen appliances and has an amazing view of the lake. We will be coming back!

Good place close to food and gas, easy access to Yosemite

We had an amazing stay at Winemaker’s Cottage. It is situated on serene vineyard with beautiful views and bird singing in the background. Inside place is cozy, comfortable and has all the conveniences a traveler may need. About an hour from South Entrance to Yosemite it was a perfect location for our getaway. Jason and Kris are the kindest and most welcoming hosts. AT&T phone users - keep in mind there is no service in the area, may be a nice opportunity to unplug. Overall - memorable and magical vacation.

The cottage is located in a private, peaceful area with lots of birds flying around and a fantastic view. Kitchen amenities, particularly sharp knives, and ample cookware were available. We found a wok in the cabinet where one of our friends could practice his wok tossing skills. Beds were firm and very comfortable. Grocery store, Pioneer Market, is a short drive away. It was a very enjoyable visit.

We booked this place for our family’s trip to Sequoia and King’s Canyon National Parks. It was a great location for accessing these parks without having to deal with the crowds inside the park. It was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay! Jeff was a great host who provided ample suggestions of things to do and places to eat. We would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming cottage in Sonoma. Tucked away in a quiet corner of wine country, this 1-bedroom retreat offered everything we needed for a peaceful, romantic getaway. The vineyard views from the front porch were absolutely stunning. Inside, the cottage was beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches throughout and a cozy, comfortable vibe. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of wine tasting. And speaking of wine—this place is close to some of the best vineyards in the area and just a short 10-minute drive to Sonoma Square for restaurants, shops, and more tasting rooms. Highly recommend for couples or solo travelers looking for a peaceful escape with easy access to everything Sonoma has to offer. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great weekend at Pauline’s place while visiting Yosemite! It was a great space for 2 people and not too far out of town.
