We had a lovely time at Yan Fang’s place, the location was perfect - we walked to the beach almost every day! It was also convenient to have the Muni metro stop right at the end of the street, we rode the Muni all over town (inexpensive and easy!). The house was clean and comfortable and Yan Fang included extra snacks and kitchen items for us, which was nice. We loved our time here and would recommend.

100 year old cabins that have been updated. My cabin had an all new shower! Very comfy bed that seemed brand new. Everything very clean. Beautiful spot in the Feather River Canyon. Quiet except when the trains roll through up the hill— it used to be an active depot. No whistle blowing, but you can hear the rhythm of the rails. Bear in mind that this is 1920s glamping vibes. So if you prefer the Hilton in 2025, you’re not going to like it. But if you love updated old school charm, you’ll love this place. No television (what a relief) and they ask you not to overuse the internet, but plenty of outdoor activities and games, and a private beach on the river. It would be great for a family, or weekend getaway. Thanks to Doug for welcoming me and then letting me have my privacy!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful house by Donner Lake. The home is spotless, well-maintained, and offers breathtaking views of the mountains. The lake is just a short walk away, which made it easy to enjoy the outdoors. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking, and the WiFi was fast and reliable — perfect for both relaxing and staying connected. MaryAnn is a wonderful host: very responsive, kind, and always ready to help. We’d love to come back if we get the chance!

We have stayed here before and the property is beautiful. We certainly cannot beat the location! The host goes above and beyond the kitchen is stocked, not only with spices and tea, all if New York congressman, Charles the paper products you could possibly need aluminum foil, etc. Condiments are abundant. We can’t wait to go back!

Great hosts! Definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys a great view of the beach, a close walk to the pier, and for live music next door at Schooner's.

This is a great place to stay! The house was so clean..beautiful views..we saw a whale from the family room. Very hospitable, Bernardine was easy to communicate with. Our family cannot wait to return!

Mark and Jacqueline have a beautiful home and property. It was spacious for our 3 families with small children. There were plenty of supplies to make our stay comfortable. The best part was being able to drive down to the river for a swim. We are already planning to book again. Thank you Mark and Jacqueline for the hospitality.

This neighborhood is safe and peaceful. We have stayed at The Dunes numerous times over the last 4 years. Lisa’s home is beautiful and inviting. We all felt very comfortable and relaxed. It is such a gorgeous area and the staff at the front gate is always so helpful too. I had to reach out to Lisa multiple times throughout our stay and each time her responses were quick and respectful. It was a delight to chat with her and we are definitely planning to come back and would rent this home again.

Wonderful stay! We used the property as a base for exploring the local national parks - very convenient location! The property/house was clean - we notice small things and think the cleaning crew does a good job. It is rare today that online pictures accurately display the current condition of a property, but all online pictures are very representative of the property! Obviously the pool/hot tub were amazing, especially upon return from a day of hiking, the afternoon heat of California and with kids! Perfect dwelling for a young outdoor family looking for a resort like feel at a fraction of the price! Furthermore, the privacy and quietness of the location will best any other place in town. Excellent stay and the hosts are very responsive, often immediately responsive, and offered great recommendations. Overall, great property, location and value.

Fantastic location and home for a family get-away. Much to see and do on site and in the local area. The home is very comfortable and welcoming with all the amenities you might need and more. Can’t wait to book again!

We had a lovely weekend with our family celebrating a birthday. The place was perfect for hosting 6 of us, walking to the beach and then driving up to Capitola and other towns very close by for celebration dinners. We enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend others to consider for a beach getaway.

This location is ideal for those who like easy access to hiking, walking, beach, pools etc. Also a short drive to Capitola, and Santa Cruz to the North. Views from the balcony are way better than the pictures. Stay here, you will not be disappointed.

I stayed at this lovely home when I was in Truckee for a wedding and it was perfect for my stay. The home was clean and cozy with clear instructions for everything. It is well stocked with plenty of kitchenware, towels, extra blankets, and more. The layout and location were ideal and in a nice quiet neighborhood. There is a big driveway and a garage you can park in. Sean was easy to communicate with and responsive. I didn't need to reach out to him, but it was nice to know he would be available. I would easily stay here again the next time I am up in the Truckee area.

Amazing views of the Pajaro River and Pacific Ocean. Short walk (300 yards) to the beach along a boardwalk or enjoy the views from the livingroom through the large picture windows or deck. Perfect for a couple or young family (the two twin beds in the second bedroom are quite small but my 20 something daughters had no complaints). Abundant bird watching opportunities along with the occasional sea lion\seal and otter.

We had a beautiful stay. The location is amazing and the views are stunning, perfect for watching the sunset. Its the ideal location for exploring the nearby towns and so much nature. I would highly recommend.

We had the best stay at Lake Tahoe and it was made even better by our home at the Winans' townhouse (Mitchell). The location was perfect; just a short drive to Sand Harbor and even shorter drive (just minutes) to South Lake Tahoe. The complex was quiet and peaceful. With this unit being just steps away from the shore, the views from the balconies were gorgeous. The condo was spacious and stocked with everything we could need. Although we didn't travel with children, I noticed that there was a closet full of necessities for kids. Such a home-y and cozy feel. I highly recommend and would stay again. Staying at the Sea Wolf Bungalow was one of the most special experiences of my life. I had the joy of working with Kim to plan my engagement there, and she made every step seamless, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable. From vendor recommendations to her calming presence, Kim went above and beyond to help create a perfect moment. She welcomed us with such warmth—it felt like staying with family. The bungalow itself is peaceful, beautifully designed, and perfectly nestled in nature. The stunning seaside views, colorful tide pools, and sightings of whales, seals, and other wildlife made every moment feel magical. Kim’s local insight into trails, sights, and hidden gems only added to the experience. The Sea Wolf Bungalow will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and I feel incredibly grateful for the memories made there and for the chance to get to know Kim. Truly the best trip I’ve ever had. Thank you, Kim—for everything.

Pajaro Dunes is very peaceful and private and the condo is lovely. I appreciated how clean it was, all the thoughtful extras and how well stocked it was, and how communicative Annette was. She even sent local recommendations for things to do and restaurants. Wonderful stay!

Elizabeth was at the property wrapping up a couple things when I arrived early. She was welcoming and friendly allowing me to get settled while she finished up. The house is really cute and worked well for our purposes, shared accomodations for a conference with a collegue. The kitchen was well stocked for making meals with breakfast/coffee/fruit available as well. Each bedrooms has a bathroom next door and are separated (split level) which worked well for us. The driveway accomodates one car and there was plenty of street parking. The house is close to a commercial strip with all kinds of restaurants, shops and cafe. One can hear street noise such as trash pick up on Wednesday morning and unloading at the cafe around the corner. I was able to walk to Monterey with the majority of it on the bike/walking path which was really enjoyable.

We had a wonderful stay! Great location, you can hear the ocean right outside from the patio. A short 5 minute walk takes you to stairs that go down to the beach - lots of tidepools and a cool rock cave our kids loved to explore in the mornings. Inside the place has plenty of space and a well stocked kitchen. We didn’t get a chance to use the bikes or kayaks with our short time here, but would love to try that out if we get a chance to stay here again! Only thing I would note is some of the furnishings were different from the pictures, if that’s important to you. No hammock outside, different furniture in some places, etc.

This house was a beautiful and it provides easy access to everything that Pacific Grove and Monterrey had to offer. When you walked into the house, it felt like home. Most importantly, Jane was the perfect host. She is always available to make your stay enjoyable. Everything we needed was there. I love sitting in the living room sofa and enjoying the great views. I loved the outside fire pit for those cold days when you wanted to sit and watch the world go by and to watch the seals sleeping across the street. You could not do any better than this place.
