Miyama House is a guest house made by renovating an old wooden house that was no longer in use. The entire house is rented out, so families and groups of friends can use it as if it were their own home. Meals are not provided, but you can enjoy cooking in the open kitchen where everyone can gather. The exterior of the building looks old, but the interior is stylish when you open the front door. The interior is finished with natural materials such as wood and plaster, and the insulation is perfect, making it a safe and comfortable space. The reason why we made it so carefully is that we are carpenters who specialize in wooden architecture. We've created an ideal space with a sense of fun, and we'd love for you to experience it. We want you to have a relaxing time, so check-in is from 10 am and check-out is by 3 pm. You can stay up to 29 hours. You can also use it with your pets. However, due to space constraints, please limit your pet to a medium-sized dog, and use a cage during your stay. Cozy, Clean, Convenient & quiet home in Gifu

I came to Gifu in 2018, I think it was it’s unpretentiousness that attracted me . The people here seem relaxed and easy going, hospitable and very much in love with their hometown which in the Gifu park area retains much of the (Kyoto like) feeling of traditional Japan with it’s castle and a host of well maintained shrines. I don't think many people have heard of Gifu, even Japanese people, inspite of the Great heritage sights like Shirakawago, beautiful mountains and clear water rivers!
