Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Scottish Borders

What a fantastic place to stay and an excellent base for exploring Edinburgh and the borders. My family and I had an amazing time in the beautiful South Lodge. It is as listed and shown in the photos - highly recommend!

We have used Georgie place last year in the Autumn . Now in the Spring/summer. Enjoyed on both occasions. Will certainly be returning .

Had a lovely time relaxing in a very peaceful setting. The garden and surroundings are beautiful. In Springtime it's possible to see lambs in the next field, bluebells, and apple blosoms. A nature lovers dream. The cottage has old fashioned charm.

Really enjoyed my stay..it was ideal for a wedding which was less than 2 miles away..the peace and quiet was welcome as was the stunning countryside. I'll definitely look to return. Thanks

We enjoyed our 3rd visit to Coldingham Bay. Bob and Lu’s Cottage is an ideal place for us to stay. We find that there’s plenty to see and do in the area and the outside seating area is lovely if you fancy relaxing with a book and a glass of wine.

We loved Anna and Tom's place, it was the perfect spot for us. Beautiful accommodation in a peaceful setting. We really appreciated their recommendations for kid-friendly, local activities (the playground in Innerleithen and ice cream shop was a real hit!) We have family living in the area so hope to come back and stay again soon. Thanks!

A stunning, isolated location in the Northumberland National Park with superb all-round views and the market town of Bellingham just a short drive away. We so enjoyed staying here. The cottage is stylishly and comfortably furnished with many personal touches - pictures, ornaments and books - and very well equipped throughout. It is well laid out with boot room, shower room and a well designed kitchen area which leads on to open-plan dining and lounge area - spacious and hospitable. The two bedrooms are again very well furnished with plenty of storage and very comfortable beds. In keeping with the rest of the cottage there is a lovely bathroom nearby. The cottage has good off-road parking, a lovely all-round garden and outdoor furniture. The front of the cottage catches the morning sun with splendid views into the distance. We have been before and shall return again.

we had an amazing stay. the hosts were brilliant with directions, local things to do. we were staying for a wedding close by. They offered us a lift to save a taxi fare ( not needed but very much appreciated) pointed us in the direction of the river so my wife could go for a wild swim. the dogs are great and came with us whilst we were outside and super friendly. the accommodation was perfect for our needs and we will definitely return for another peaceful stay in Northumberland. we left super early to go collect the kids after the wedding and we were given bacon rolls in lovely cheese bread bun. so nice and got us through the long drive. 10/10 stay thank you so much for hosting us. This has been our favourite destination to-date. We had a wonderful stay, which, as beautiful as the photos are, don't do it (or the surroundings) justice. If you're after a peaceful getaway and gorgeous views then you won't be disappointed. There are beautiful coastal towns and walks within a short distance, and Edinburgh itself isn't much further. Jane is an excellent host and made sure we were well looked after and supported (even when my other half had a make-up disaster...). When the time is right for us to return to the East Lothian area, we know where we'd love to stay again.

We had a great time at Rachel’s place. Because another booking we had made unexpectedly fell through on the day we were arriving in Kelso, we were desperately looking for a place to stay in Kelso. And we were really lucky and blessed to find the apothecary house. We contacted Rachel in the morning and she responded right away and we were able to get in the flat by 6 pm on the same day. We just needed a place with a kitchen to stay at and we got this wonderful, beautiful and spacious flat. It by far exceeded our expectations. The location overlooking the town square of Kelso is unmatched - very beautiful and in combination with woodwork in the window it made for a perfect photo op. Highly recommend staying with Rachel, when visiting the Scottish Borders 👍.

Really lovely stay in Moffat for a family wedding. Luke and Anna's home was so lovely and spacious, the photos don't do it justice to how spacious it is! Everything we needed in terms of shops, cafes etc were all in a 10 minute walking distance. The area is very quiet and peaceful, and whilst we didn't get chance to use the garden, it was HUGE! Thanks for making our stay in Scotland so easy and wonderful

Beautiful apartment with an incredible view of the lake. Sparklingly clean, well equipped, comfortable bed. Little extra touches like breakfast goodies and local fruit cake, delicious! Loved the window seats too. Beautiful walk around the loch, we saw an Osprey diving into the water. So many interesting places to visit in the Borders, a great place to stay.

This was our second stay at this nice little flat. Very clean and spacious. Great hosts and everything we needed was provided with some nice little touches like milk in the fridge, plenty of teabags, biscuits etc. It's in easy walking distance of buses, shops, pubs, and places to eat. I'm sure we'll be back for a third visit.

The place was perfect for us, great location for our day trips. We turned the heat on the first night and it was toasty warm. We loved driving the back roads and the parking was great. Would recommend!

Beautiful apartment. Was greeted and warmly welcomed. All the essentials were left for us in the kitchen including bread, butter, milk and even bottle of Prosecco to accompany us in the luxurious hot-tub. Worth the stay if you are visiting the area!

We liked everything, the price is good

we have just left Howford house after a lovely 3 night weekend stay to celebrate my husbands 40th. we were a family of 14 adults, 2 children and a newborn baby and we had the most peaceful comfortable stay. the house is fantastic, it has everything you need and the location although super private and peaceful, it was near restaurants, the coop supermarket, Traquair House and land which we got discounted because we were house guests, and lots of walks and hikes. the surrounding acres were stunning with the frost and autumn leaves. we all loved our stay, the kids (and the adults) didn't want to leave. special thanks to Elaine the housekeeper who was brilliant with her communication and help. we will recommend and be back in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Beechwood. The pictures do not do it justice, the house is stunning with each room clean, spacious, and designed impeccably and tastefully. The house was well-equipped and our whole group especially loved the addition of the hot tub. The grounds and gardens are lovely with scenic woodland walks right on your doorstep. The location was great, with enough privacy to feel secluded but only a short walk to the high street. Nick was a great host; always attentive and super responsive. He generously offered flexible check-in and check-out times and was always on hand for any questions we had. I can’t recommend Nick’s place enough and our group will all definitely be back again soon!

This place was just what we wanted, a beautiful sea view and outstanding facilities. We didn’t want to leave and would recommend this treasure of a place to anyone wanting to get away from it all but with great places to visit locally.

We had a fabulous weekend and the house was perfect for a gathering of friends. Really well-equipped, beautiful surroundings and lovely communal areas. Dean was so speedy with communication and came to save us with the lights too!

The place was absolutely stunning. We were awestruck by the gorgeous interior. Visitors can expect a fantastic time staying in the accommodation. However, having a vehicle to travel is a must. There is parking available. Indoor heating (radiators) is provided in every room and common areas. Fireplace was used during our stay in the winter season. The host is very responsive and friendly. While the location provided is accurate. The drive up to the accommodation can erroneous as google map did not consider the closures at Forest Drive. Hence, it will be good to check with the host properly.

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.
