Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Schmalkalden-Meiningen

We had a lovely, albeit very wet Pentecost weekend in Rachel's house. We were two families (6 people, 2 children (3 years old)). We particularly liked how child-friendly and well-equipped the house was. There are plenty of toys and the trampoline in the garden was a hit. The surroundings are beautifully idyllic. However, we were a little surprised by the high tick volume, but that's nobody's fault. However, you should prepare for a vacation in the area (vaccination, spray) and check daily, especially with the kids. The house was very cozy and could be heated wonderfully with the fireplace in the unfortunately very bad weather. The footpath to the house, which is slightly elevated, was a bit impractical. If you arrive with a little more luggage and shopping, you have to walk the way several times, but it worked. Overall, we were satisfied and felt very comfortable.

The accommodation in Bärenloch was simply fantastic! Quietly located with a beautiful view – just the right place to relax and unwind. The apartment is furnished with a lot of love for detail, so that you feel completely comfortable from the first moment. Everything was clean and well equipped. You can immediately tell that this place is full of passion. Unrestricted recommendation – we'd love to come back!

Dagmar's beautiful house with wonderful views leaves nothing to be desired. The reception is tremendously warm and everything is thought of in advance. Thank you! We would love to come back and enjoy the tranquility in the Rhön with its exceptionally beautiful flower meadows.

The stay at Lene's was excellent. We felt extremely comfortable! The house is magical and fully met our expectations. The location of the house is central in the village. Shopping is available and you are still quickly in the charming countryside.

Cozy, well equipped and clean cottage in close to nature and beautiful location. We found everything as stated in the description. The right choice for those seeking peace and quiet. We had two beautiful days at Emma's place and thank you very much!

Very friendly host who was easy to reach out. We once ran out of heating and hot water and owner fixed the problem asap. Also apartment was nice and clean. Can realy recommend

Hello, we stayed at Axel and Cindy's apartment for the second time and were mega happy again! It couldn't be better -:) Great location, nice and quiet, this time have also been able to enjoy the great terrace in the sun. We look forward to next time .

Our stay was just great, we felt right at home. The apartment really offers everything you have at home. The bed is a dream😌. Everything is very clean, bright, spacious, even a generous freezer is available. Lots of nature directly within walking distance but also many possibilities to do something by car (Erfurt/Weimar/Coburg) 😊 but even after 1 week of stay - the time was far too short. Also the contact with Nicole and her family was very nice, you felt immediately welcome🤗. We really didn't miss anything, definitely worth a visit - be it for hiking, city trips or simply to unwind. We had a completely successful stay at Nicole and Helga's! The apartment was very clean, lovingly decorated and well equipped – ideal for our three-day hiking holiday in the Thuringian Forest. Nicole and Helga are exceptionally warm and accommodating hosts. Upon arrival, we felt immediately welcome. Even during our stay, they were at our side with valuable tips about the surroundings. After extensive hikes in the beautiful nature of the Thuringian Forest, we were able to end the day in the evening relaxing on the balcony – simply wonderful! Thank you for the great time – we will be happy to come back!

Manuela is super friendly, charming. The place was clean, the linens smelled like perfume, just like the towels. The apartment was warm and could be easily ventilated. It has a bedroom and living room separate from the kitchen, which is very comfortable.Check-in and check-out are simple The downside is that there were some spiders, although that's the price to pay for so many beautiful plants around, and on the other hand, it would have been nice to find a tea or coffee bag as a welcome. It's absolutely recommended.

The apartment is a great place to stay in beautiful surroundings. Everything is very well maintained and clean. It is lovingly decorated and there are games for the whole family. The communication with Alexander was very nice and straightforward. In the beautiful little town you will find everything you need for your stay. Nice excursion destinations are easily accessible from there. I would gladly come back.

The apartment is modern and tastefully decorated, the location to the city center is perfect. The only downside: The supermarket next door was supplied from 6 am, so our days started quite early…… The contact with Sebastian was great! Everything invites you to come back.

You immediately feel at home in the apartment. Everything was as described and everything is also shown in the photos - only in reality it was even more beautiful. A great city apartment, it doesn't get any more central. Very good that a parking space is available - would otherwise be difficult in the old town. Our dog also felt comfortable - since he is very vigilant, there were of course some situations at the beginning due to the noise transmission - but he got used to that too! All around a perfect stay in a great, lovingly furnished apartment right in the historic old town of the beautiful city of Bad Langensalza! We will be back!

We had a nice and relaxing stay with our dog. The garden is very nice and spacious and we didn't miss anything.

We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful residential area, the pretty apartment and that we could reach everything on foot. Such as the city center, bakery, supermarket. We always got a parking space in the street. The Frauenberg Monastery with a fantastic terrace overlooking Fulda is only 15 minutes' walk away. On weekends, there is also a free shuttle from the city center to here. We used that twice to get "home" faster. This was very handy. We recommend this place. The lockbox made it perfect for check-in.

Staying at Julia and Oliver's was very relaxing. We have proactively received all the information. Communication was very quick and friendly. Julia personally welcomed us, showed us everything and gave us great restaurant tips. The accommodation was sparkling clean and equipped with everything you could ever need. In addition, a pretty terrace invited you to relax. I can only recommend the place.
