The boutique design farm: ANNAS SCHEUNE

The gateway to the Elz Valley in the Black Forest and the world-famous Glotter Valley is the small “Slow City” Waldkirch. In the suburb of Buchholz, ANNAS SCHEUNE is located in the middle of the old town center. A 2016 organically loft-like renovated farmhouse with several outbuildings from the 17th century. The decor with antiques, design classics and custom-made furniture completes the modern country style of the barn. Unfortunately, we are currently only allowed to accommodate guests in accordance with the 2G rule. As of 01/22/2022

Mettlen | Large, luxurious, with Alps view

Mettlenhof, also known as Mettlen Farm, is a restored farmhouse in Mettlen, Schopfheim, Baden-Württemberg. Built with traditional craftsmanship and natural materials, it provides a bright, welcoming space for up to 10 guests. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of rolling hills, Icelandic horses, and Scottish Blackface sheep. Charming private room in a farmhouse

Our farmhouse is situated at the famous black forest western hiking trail and on a hill with views overlooking three countries. Our guest room offers a small kitchen unit with a fridge where our guests can prepare breakfast and cold meals. There is no water supply in the bedroom but in the spacious bathroom opposite. You can find restaurants from vegan, traditional to haute cusine within a less than a mile. There are buses to Basel, Lörrach and Kandern. By car it takes 20 minutes to Basel.

View of the entire Vosges ridge, ideally located, 7 KM from Colmar in the center of Alsace. Bike paths nearby along the canal. The first ski slopes are 1 hour drive away. Europa-park, the best amusement park in the world is 35 km away. All the necessary amenities are 5 minutes from the accommodation.

The resort for nature lovers is located in the middle of the Southern Black Forest Biosphere Reserve. Above the cloud sea of the Rhine plain stands our beautiful forest house. Start your hikes right outside the door on the Westweg, or mountain bike tour through the Black Forest. Take the S-Bahn (8 min by car) in 30min. To Basel, France is 45 minutes away, Freiburg an hour. Feldberg 45 minutes. Attention: Swimming pool Schweigmatt only for club members.

The old dyeing plant, a 19th-century factory, was expanded for mixed use. In addition to apartments, workshops and medical practices, guest rooms were built under the shed roofs of the factory halls. It was important to us to give the old building structure a new use and to make it tangible. We were able to completely preserve the building envelope and reuse renovated components in other contexts. New components were left in their natural state.
